Hello everyone! Another week down as a missionary! This week felt so long and so short at the same time which is so weird. But it was a decent week so I can't complain. But let's get into it

I am terrified of cats - Jack's email from Alaska
Tuesday 7/8: P day pretty Normal p day we just played a ton of games and had a lot of fun and then we tracted for like maybe 10 minutes and then went home so it was a good day:
Wednesday 7/9: exchanges with Elder Allen today which was hype, we had a lesson with our friend Bobby and it was a good lesson and Allen taught me a lot and basically carried our lessons cuz idek what to say during lessons still. We had dinner at the Kellers and they are a fire family that cooks fire food so good day overall.
Thursday 7/10: we met our new mission president today, had interviews with him so that was pretty cool and we were behind schedule by like 3 hours cus the interviews took forever. But that's alright, we had a lesson with the sisters that night with one of their friends.
Friday 7/11: we had zone conference today and it was so much fun. I met a ton of new missionaries so that was crazy but zone conference was a blast. We had a lesson with Sister Kiser that night that went for like 2 and a half hours.
Saturday 7/12: We tracted in the morning and then we went to the church we got told we were teaching Elders Quorum and that I had to give a talk so we had a little bit of last minute planning today. But it was okay, pretty much all of our lessons canceled today so it didn't matter anyway. Dinner with the champlins which was solid, they made fun of me cus they have a cat and I am absolutely terrified of Cats. But they said everytime I go over there and pet the cat they will give me diet coke. So it's worth the torture to get a diet coke.
Sunday 7/13: I gave my talk today and it was alright the ward here is not even close to the size of the wards in north salt Lake and bountiful. We had dinner at the McMickells and they made some pretty good food. Also taught there son about baptism.
Monday 7/14: Monday so all that means is just a lot of meetings. We plan our week and set up some lessons with our friends today. So lots of phone calls, planning and meetings. The Illguths had us over for dinner and they made some GAS tacos.
I hope all is well with everyone! Keep emailing me I love hearing from you all!

Golf League and Pre Workout
Not much happening lately this summer. Just hot. Hot and hot. I did get some of tis Alani and Nick said oh get your preworkout...Yep its my preworkout I love it on Ice and COLD.
Nick wanted some of his preworkout called Monster. it was on sale, buy two get one free. So I got him a case. Not sure it is a great deal. But I was in a good mood. The Dr. Pepper behind the Monster was on a great deal. We had to use Grandmas number at Dicks to get the deal on Coke. Then a few days later, Grandma said oh I wanted some stuff at Dicks but I didn't have a number. Yes she did. It was her Home phone number NOT her cell. Count on me to know that...:)
Michelle and I at Mulligans. We have been playing on Tuesday mornings since she retired a few weeks ago. It is HOT. But the ladies asked us to join the league, and they want to go at 9:00 am and that is just too hot for us. So we joined the league, but we play at 8:00 am. That's 7th hole. Michele is getting so good and I'm just not that great at Mulligans. I lost THREE balls last week.
Super fun though. I have only about 3 more times I can go because then I'm back to school. Michelle can go forever now that she's retired. Kindof weird to think about that.
She will have to get Marti to join the Ladies league...:)

4th of July - Jacks Email from Alaska
Hello friends and family! Another week down as a missionary! This week we did not find a lot of success but that's alright. I am very very slowly progressing and learning more and more so that's been a miracle. But let's get into the week!
Tuesday 7/1: P day was hype today! We did a p day exchange so me and another Elder in the district could go golfing today. We went to the most northern golf course in America. And had some GAS barbecue food so that was amazing. Then we had a very awkward member meal but it was worth the golfing.
Wednesday 7/2: We pretty much had like 2 lessons cancel and we taught our boy Bobby who is very smart and he got us pizza so that was lit and he is progressing well he knows it's true so we just got to get him to church! Then we taught Mary Anne where I lead and thought I did alright but can improve for sure.
Thursday 7/3: pretty crappy day overall I won't lie, had no motivation and everyone canceled so yeah.
Friday 7/4: 4th of July here was lit and they had a parade we went to so that was fun. There are no fireworks here because well it doesn't get dark here, and there's like a ton of fires here so it's very smokey.
Saturday 7/5: went back to Bobby to teach him some more and help him and the lesson was great. He just wont show up to church but that's alright lol. We are trying our best.
Sunday 7/6: Fast Sunday today! Bore my testimony in church today (your welcome nick) but it was great and then we had another lesson cancel. We then had dinner at the Cliffords and they are awesome and I love going over there.
Monday 7/7: pretty much just a day full of planning. Nothing crazy was done but we had dinner at the Hadfields and they had some FIRE food so that was good and there kids were teaching me about lacrosse so it was funny.
Not a lot of success this week and A lot of canceled lessons but that's alright. I am trying to get that joy of just sharing the word still but we are getting there.
I miss you all and feel free to email me back I love hearing from all of you!

Mount Ogden Golf Course
Decided to skip church again and head to Mount Ogden for Golf. I have heard about the course and my friend, Sandra LOVES it. I had to go.
I cute deer family we saw on the course
I decided I was going to take more pictures and post to our Golf Page. Here's some pics of the golfers I usually golf with.
Sandra is my bestie for golf. Kent is my bestie in Orange
They are talking about Kent's new driver...:)
Kerry
Kent
Craig
Ted
Eric
Tom
Here's me driving there in my golf shirt.
It was a great course. I'm not sure why we don't play it more often. It was only about 30 minutes away. I did lose about 3 balls which I usually don't lose many.
THEN we decided to stop off at Lakeside and play another 9. Seriously what were we thinking. It was Sandra's idea. There was only 3 of us, so we called Andrew and he joined us. He was conveniently just leaving Rose Park after playing with Easton and Ellie. He had just enough time to go to Holiday and get a beverage and meet us there. He and Sandra walked. They rock. I was tired.
I don't think I even took any pictures of our 9 holes. But it was fun.
Fourth of July at Wasatch
Fourth of July for the last few years, we have scheduled some Golf. This year, we went to Wasatch Golf Course. It is up in the mountains, so it was cooler than normal.
Barb PW
Sandra
Ducks we saw
Sandra and her sunshade on the cart. She had all the HUD
Lili
I golfed with Barb, Sandra and Lili. We rocked it.
I didn't get any action shots of me, but We had a great time. AND I didn't have to go to Fireworks. I was too tired and already hot.
I invited Nick to join us, but he was going boating with his friend Stockton. However, two days before, Stockton took out his boat and Nick couldn't get off work. They got stranded on the lake because the boat broke down. He was glad his boss Johnny wouldn't let him off work,
