Schneiders Riverside golf

2nd tournament of the season for Abi was at Schneiders Riverside Golf Course. It is in Riverdale.

It is a nice course, mostly flat with lots of old trees.  Abi started on the 16th hole. I missed the first hole because I went to get Brooke.  I arrived on the 17th hole just in time to see her THREE shots in the water!!  She picked up on that hole, taking a 10.  The 18th hole was par 3.  She took TWO shots for a Birdie!  It was a fabulous hole.  She ended up with a 99.  First place at Woods Cross.   She also had another Birdie on another hole.  Last year she shot a 112 on this same course.

Good Job.

Here is my partner in crime today.  It was a beautiful day, but a bit cold in the shade and when the golf cart is going.

This was Brooke's favorite part was seeing the Fowl on the course.  There was lots of duck poop too.

Here is another shot of Abi.  The other girl shot a 100.  She was from Viewmont.  The other guy is the coach.

After all that contemplation above, here is her putt shot

This is just a random video of her on a shot

The next girl shot a 108.  I took a pic before her score was posted.

It was a fun tournament today. last time my cart died while in the middle of the course, and the coach had to push me back to the clubhouse.  That didn't happen today so it was a win all around!

Love Aligators

My cousins Allison posted this.  She has no idea how funny this really is!!

Glen Eagle First tournament 2018

This is Abi's Senior year on the Girls Golf Team.  It started out in Syracuse at Glen Eagle Golf Course.  They only played 9 holes for some reason, but she ended up with a 51.  The other golfer on Woods Cross who golf's in the Number one position got a 50.  She is in the number two position.

The girl on the left in the red is from Bountiful High and she took I think first place that tournament with one under par.  The other girl in the middle did about 6 strokes more than Abi

Here are some videos of Abi.  I'm not very good at being able to take an action shot...

I'm Being Brave - My Little Prayer

I am about to be very Brave.  This is me in my first step...

Update:  Step two is harder...

I also feel like this is my theme song too from Meet the Mormons.  It says we all play a part in the symphony and it is glorious.  I have to figure out my place in the symphony.  It is going to change, and I have to make sure it is the right place and what my new part is.  Actually, it is really the same part just different.

This is Nick and me after visiting our newest convenience store near us.  It is actually right across the street from my favorite grocery store Lees.  They were giving away free donuts since they were new.  Win!!

Baseball Tryouts for Jack and Snowy for Nick

.
Jack had tryouts for Baseball.  Here is Jack in action.  It wasn't really tryouts, but placement.  He did a good job.  It was changed to inside due to snow.

Nick on the other hand, had Rugby practice outside.  It was a bit snowy.  Good for him for going.  He had to take hand warmers and toe warmers.  He thought the toe warmers were the best.  He is in the red sweatshirt

Church Ball

Nick has also been playing church ball.  He Loves it.  He has even made a few baskets.  They made it to the playoffs or whatever that means.  They had to play a team to decide who went to region or somewhere like that. They were short players, so Jack who is 11 went and played with them for a while so they wouldn't have to forfeit.

Jack is in the yellow shirt (not number 17) and Jack is 13.  He was a great addition so they didn't have to forfeit

Here is Nick going into the church ready to play basketball.  I have a key since I need to practice the piano for Primary so he comes with me to play basketball.  It is a sweet deal actually for both of us.  He gets to play basketball and I get to practice.  Nick is really a pretty funny kid.  He is fun because he will do most anything.  He will talk to anyone and is constantly talking.  He really has turned into a pretty funny kid.

Stretch Throat

Jack has been sick for a few days.  He stayed home from church because he was sick and his throat hurt.  I don't usually believe them when they are sick on Sunday.  However, he was super sick on Monday too.  So that night I loooked at his throat (since I know what I am doing...not...it just sounded like something smart people do...) and it looked awful.

This is a pic that I found on my phone that Jack took so he could see it...soo gross.  Anyway, he had Strep throat.  One of my kids called it Stretch throat so that's what I think of when we have strep.  So, he opted to NOT get the shot in his bum and take pills for 10 days. (who does that?)  but he missed school another day til the meds kicked in.  So glad I made him go to the doc.  He was fighting me all the way...but she said he got the award for the grossest throat of the day.

Here is jack asleep in the bathroom because he thought he was going to throw up and wanted to be close to the toilet.  Good move actually.

Van Heusen

Van Heusen is my favorite store.   They have clothes that fit women.  So I really like them.  Plus two times a year they have a friends and family sale for 25% off

Michelle and I usually go to the sale and stock up.  They have great skirts and shirts and sweaters sometimes.  I get a pair of sunglasses and try to get a necklace too.  Anyway we have been going for a few years.  They just had a spring sale, and I got two pair of jeans, and 3 shirts and a skirt.  Kindof slowed down on the purchases.  I have become a minimunalist (a person that needs the minimum) and so am trying to not buy so much but I do have to work and need some clothes.
Plus it is just fun to go and of course we ended up at Cafe Rio for dinner.  Always a win in my book!

When I got home, I had some stuff I had already bought at the store and had never worn.  Some of it was a year or older.  I tried them on, and Brooke said they were too big.  So I returned them! I returned about NINE shirts, and a sweater.  WHAT?  That is a lot of stuff to buy and not wear.  Plus so glad I had the receipts for every one of the things I needed to return!  It was over 165.00 worth of returns.  Brooke came with me and I happen to buy her a skirt and a shirt.!  She looked so cute too!  Abi was at an Organ recital for her friend Evan and working so she didn't come.  It was totally a cleansing experience to return all that stuff!!  I also returned another sweater to Kohls that I didn't wear. YAHOO!!

Wax Museum for Jack...LAST one

I am getting a bit excited for all these 'last one' items for elementary school.  I have really had enough of all the extra stuff that elementary brings.  Just do a Science Project, just make a costume for the wax museum...its easy if you have time, money and are creative.  I don't have any of those three!

Jack was Argus.  Something about having a lot of eyes like over 100. So we made this costume with eyes.  There are more than 100 eyes on him.

This is Jack at home before school. I wanted him to wear the leaf wreath.  It is kindof greek I thought.

This is what he said when kids came around and pressed his button on his hand.  I was glad I got to go to school and see the Wax museum.  It was super fun.

Orchestra Concert for Jack

Jack had his first Orchestra concert today.  It happened to be at my School.  The 6th graders from the feeder schools had a concert with the Jr High.  It was at 4:30 which was a fabulous time.  THE best concert.  At my own school and at 4:30.

He did a great job.

He is in the red shirt in the middle playing the cello.

Here are some action shots of Jack.  I see all these parents videoing the entire performance and wonder what they do with it.  Who would want to watch the entire thing again...well, here is my footage of the concert.  My phone was dying but I think this is enough footage.
