Duster

I got a package in the mail.  Actually I got an email yesterday saying I got a package.  I was sooo excited.

I don't order much online because I don't buy much...and I decided I needed this.

A New Duster.  My grandma always had a duster.  She put it on the second she got home  I think it is good for everyone to have a duster.  Can't wait to wear it.  Due to my new minimalistic lifestyle, I will be getting rid of a few of the old ones.  Too bad I don't have someone to model this duster for...:)

There are Some Advantages..

Went to Taco Bell tonight with Nick.  He wanted his usual $5.99 Craving Box with no beans on the burrito.  Up at the window, it was a former student, Omar.  He was Brooke's favorite bud in ceramics.  I liked him too...

He asked if I wanted a Freeze drink free...Yep I did. Funny Nick got it.  There are a few perks to being a teacher.

This was after we went shopping for jeans.  Nick decided he might want some long pants for winter.

While Black Friday Shopping, I was at Dicks Sporting goods, and ran into a former student also.  He is studying Management so he can manage a rest home.  He said he would save me a spot.   Yeah!!

And The Last to Go

BYU played University of Utah last night.  If Utah won, Nick had to wear a Utah Tie to church. If BYU won, this other guy had to wear a BYU tie.

We had a knock about 30 minutes before church...

guess who won?  Nick was a good sport about wearing the tie.

Here are the rest of them at church. I was listening instead of taking pictures.

The time has come for the last one to go back to school.  Brooke headed back to Florida to Santa Fe College.

Nick is a good  sport to go with me to drop her off.  Might be because of the drink on the way home.  Even though this is the second time I have dropped her off, I wish it were easier.  She is 2000 miles away.  I pray for her and for God to keep her safe.

They are all back to school.  Its such a weird feeling.  I miss them all so much.  I know they are all doing what they are suppose to do.  It makes it awfully lonely around here.  We have such a messed up family and I hope they can overcome the disfunction and forge onward,  make correct choices, be good citizens and God loving.  I hope they will choose the right and become successful in spite of our less than desirable family life and our poverty.  I have done my best and its up to them now to go forward with faith and become what they are suppose to be.

I'm spending the rest of the evening with my two favorite men, well 3 if  you include Jimmy Fallon ...

Time To Go Back to School

Nick is a huge BYU fan.  BYU played Utah on Saturday night.  We went to Gma's house to watch the game since it was on some Cable channel and we don't have that channel.

Before that, in the morning Andrew and Abi had to go back to school. Andrew had to work at 1:00.  I wanted a family picture while they were here, but we forgot.  This is the best we could do.

It was snowy but they went anyway.  The roads were just wet they said.

Then Brooke and I went to the Planet.  She transferred her membership to Florida.

We went to the PG Nails and got a pedicure.  It was the BEST pedicure I have had in a long time.  I even branched out and didn't get pink polish.  I got glitter.  Brooke got the same kind.

After that we headed to Trader Joe's for shopping and had lunch at The Habit.  Got Jack some Church pants and then headed to Crumble for some cookies.  We  have our priorities straight.

Friday

Friday after Thanksgiving it was too snowy and wet to play golf again.  We opted for some Black Friday Shopping.  We headed over to Game Stop, Target and RC Willey.  Conveniently RC Willey had free hot dogs and Nick had 4 and Andrew had 2.  I decided to pass.  I did find a couch I liked amongst other things.  I can always find something I want there.  I need a new TV but didn't get one.

Here are the couches I like.  Jim is testing them out for me.

She decided to test out the Jazzie scooter.  There is a bigger one for bigger people.  They only have a weight limit of 350 lbs.  I didn't think that would be enough for me when I get to the rest home.  Count on Jim to try it.

We also did some black Friday shopping and went to Dicks sporting goods.  25 % off.  I wasn't feeling much even though all their Nike and Under Armour stuff as on sale.  I did get one blockbuster special..

Thanksgiving 2018

Thanksgiving day started with a trip to the Planet.  Yep, a trip to the gym.  Brooke and I went and did the elliptical for a bit.

Then we headed to Hogle Zoo to see her friend, Ty who was working security there.  We had to check out the zoo and walk around.  Love it.  And get a pic at this Lion drinking fountain.  Abi decided to come to the Zoo and not the Planet.

This is Brooke and Ty and the Giraffe statue thing...

This is Maureen, Broke and Abi and the Giraffes.

We headed to Mark's house for Thanksgiving.  His house is Beautiful.  It is up on the mountain and it snowed the only 30 minutes we were trying to get to his house.

It was absolutely beautiful.

This was the sign they had for me.  It was also my birthday.

We also played Thanksgiving Bingo for prizes that Gma brought.  That is always a hit.  Good food, Good company, and good fun.  I had all my children there safe and healthy.  Couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving.
