Saturday

Saturday started with taking Nick to Work at Lagoon.  I feel like I have a job there.  But it is good.

I decided to go to the Temple because I didn't go to the gym in the am because I wanted to make sure I was ready to take Nick.  I wore a dress and drove right there.

Walking into the Bountiful Temple parking.  I had a super great time in the Temple today.  I saw my old Custodian Juan officiating in my session.  I love him. He was the absolute best.  I also saw a dude in our ward that serves there.  It is nice to see people quietly serving and choosing the right.

Jack decided when I got home that he wanted to go to Lagoon.  We got him a season pass.

Look who was working Season Pass pictures? Yep, Nick.  He got to take his picture. 

After that, I went to Home Depot to get paint since it is on rebate for Memorial Day.

Picked Nick up from work, went to the gym, and 

And then we got Cafe Rio.  Its a good thing if you like Cafe Rio because I can almost always be talked into getting food from there. 

Here I am in my new sweater that I have NEVER worn before.  I think the double chin has to go.

And here is Jack and Nick going into school.  It is almost over.  They will be in different schools next year.  I am not sure they will even notice.

Then when Abi was here for a visit, she left these bathbombs on accident.  They were from a client that she got at Trader Joe's.  I love a good Trader Joe's anything.  I had to try them out.

Then, at school, we were listing Biotic and Abiotic things.  Abiotic things that are NEVER living.  This is the list by one kid for Abiotic...

Laughter does the soul so much good.  Serious.

God Was Thinking About me

Saturday started off taking Nick to Lagoon at 6:45am.  I wore my slickers so I could go to the gym on my way home.  Driving out there, I decided I would go to the temple after the gym.  But I thought about it and Saturday in May is kindof crowded with Brides and it was pouring rain outside. I don't like it when its crowded especially when I am going by myself.  I decided a better plan would be to go home, shower and get ready and go to the temple first then go to the gym. 

So, thats what I did.  I was at the Temple and seated in the chapel at 8:05 for the 8:30 session.  Just how I like it on the 3rd row so I could for sure get in the 8:30 session.

Here I am rushing in the parking garage.  I sent this to Abi to see if I should use it as a profile pic on a dating website (ha) and she knew it was the temple parking garage...

I LOVE sitting in the chapel listening to the Organ.  I don't like the Organ much, but I really like it in the temple.  

Funny, I saw two people I knew at the temple today.  Sarah Jane who I taught with for 18 years and my friend Nancy who was my roommate at BYU.  Had a great time for my soul in the temple.  Need to go more.  Mad about Chili Willi NEVER coming to take them any where or even have his every other weekend.  EVER.  It was just tense.  I decided to go to the gym, got dressed for it, then sat back down.  Having such a bad afternoon.  THEN, my brother texts me to see if I want to go to dinner.  His family is all gone tonight.  His wife is in Arizona with his daughter Grace.  Yes I do actually want to go.  I got out of my clean gym clothes and got dressed.  We went to Rio Grande Cafe where I haven't been for years.  It use to be one of my favorite places to go.  

It was such a nice time to just go and be with Mark and not have to worry about Jack or Nick or Chili willi or anything.  Mark gets most things.  Love him.  And to top it off, I got the plate with the cho cho train on the bottom and my meal was free.  So, I'm a cheap date too.  

And we saw this guy who came in and Mark says he plays for the Stars that feed into the Jazz.

I feel so much better like I can go to church and play the piano tomorrow.

I Absolutely LOVE Mother's Day.

Mother's Day has turned into my favorite holiday.  Maybe not as fun as Halloween, but a close second.  Today was my first Mother's Day since being Divorced.  That really didn't matter today though...just a fun fact

I had to play the piano in Sacrament meeting for the Primary kids to Sing a Mother's day Song.  I also had to take Nick to Work at the same time.  I recruited McCall.  She picked up Nick and took him.  Yay for McCall helping me.  Then I got to go to Relief Society because the Men were handling all the Primary Callings today.  I haven't been to Relief Society since last Mother's Day.  It was nice to be able to go.

Before Abi left on Saturday, she gave me some Slickers for Mother's Day.  One thing about Chili Willi is he gave me Under Armour Slicks.  I really like Under Armour Slicks.  So thoughtful of her

Then Sunday, Andrew called me and told me Happy Mother's Day.

I made dinner today, fajitas and Strawberry ShortCake.  I couldn't find any short cake cups or even twinkies which work too. So I made my own Angel Food Cake.  No one ate that.  Guess Nick was full from his Chicken strips at Lagoon.  It was ok,not sure I would do it again as it took 9 egg whites

AND while I was on my Sunday walk, Nick calls to see when I am going to be home because Brooke's friend Ty dropped me off a gift.

I think Jack drank the coke before I could hide it..which is against the rules...:)

Why wouldn't someone love this Holiday?  Not one of them seemed to not love me because I am fat, inadequate, a worrier, divorced, not cute, or that we are extremely poor and have nothing.  They just love me.  Hopefully they can see that I have done the very best.  It makes my many short comings not as short for just a little while.  ..I am grateful for that today.  So Much Love today.

Planet Friday Night

Abi and I went to the Planet on Friday night.  It is the best on Friday night.  The crowd is the best.  Kindof Sketchy, kindof normal and kindof just weird.  Love it.  We were on the elliptical.  I always seem to wear that gray shirt so I look I just post the same visit and say I went to the gym again.  Well, I have about 4 of them.  I got them on clearance so I bought all they had. 

We got Cafe Rio that night too and Maverik. 

Saturday we didn't go to the Planet because I had to take Nick to work early.  I don't like to cut it to close to his work time so I make sure and get him there on time. 

I can only get pictures when he isn't looking...after I get a season pass I will get some pics of him in action..

Abi left Saturday morning.  I Miss her too when she is gone.  I'm so happy that she is doing well in school.  But I sure do miss having her around. 

Here is where I was after driving Nick instead of the Planet

Abi was telling me about when her roommate Burton goes to Maverik she has to get a Cinnabun.  So, Saturday here's what I got in honor of her.

Andrew also came home

Andrew came home for a few days.  He helped us do some projects and is in the middle of fixing the computer.  I took the day off so Abi and Andrew and I could go play some golf.  However, we had the dryer vent guy scheduled and he came late and spent over an hour fixing my vent and cleaning it.  He installed a cage over the vent so hopefully it won't happen again...

Nick had LAX playoff game. Andrew decided to come with me.

It was fun to have Andrew with me so I didn't have to go alone.  He knew some of the players since he played just a year ago.  Someone passed out Waffle Love Waffles after.

Andrew did have to go back to Cedar to work and put in some hours for his Vice President of Finance thing. 

This is his new car and he is packing. This is the best pic that I could get.  I like him having a better car so I don't worry about him driving and having car trouble.  I love him so much.  I absolutely miss him when he is not here. 

Productive Weekend

I love to post the projects that I get finished.  It makes me feel so accomplished.  I do like the posts where I am hauling HUD out of my house too.

Abi has been here and we have been busy.  Saturday am, we hit the Planet first.

We had to leave to get Nick to Lagoon to work.  Then we stayed in our slickers and tried to buy a lawn mower.  Buying a lawn mower proved harder than I though.  We went to Home Depot and lawn mowers range in prices.  My yard is so small, that I probably just need a pair of scissors for my lawn.  We couldn't find a lawn mower at the first Home Depot so we looked online and West Valley had 28 of the lawn mowers we wanted.  Off to West Valley.  We got there and couldn't find it either.  There was no one to ask. It was crazy busy. We bought a tiller instead for 88.00.  I still need a mower.  

We did buy some Deck Stain and brushes for the Deck.  

We bought some door knobs to change the locks since I got divorced and need to know we are secure. Didn't get these installed yet though

We bought some drapery hardware to fix the curtain rod in the basement.  

We decided to go to Trader Joe's and Costco where we got an Acai Bowl from the food court.  My favorite thing now.  I went home and went to bed cuz my body hurt and Abi went to Michelle's house.  I did pick Nick up from Lagoon.  We didn't even get Cafe Rio.  

I also sanded the Deck so we could stain it, and tried to wash it off, and our Hose had a hole.  While I was doing this, I noticed this.

Guess I need my dryer vent guy again

 I went to Ace hardware where I had 5.00 off coupon and got a new hose.  Had to get some popcorn from the Ace Hardware.  Funny thing, it was like caramel but colored.  NOT as good.  

Nick installed it for me.

Reminded me of my favorite joke...When God gave out hoses, you thought He said noses and you got one 50 feel long....hilarious too.  

I also fixed this old dresser we have had with broken drawers. I have been meaning to get rid of the dresser because the drawers are broken.  Well, I figured out how to fix it.  I bought these parts online and I think it is fixed.  I have tried before to fix it, but could never figure it out or find the part. 

I'm planning on painting the dresser this summer if it still working by then.

AND Abi took down the Christmas Lights that have been up since LAST December 2017 that Brooke put up and never took down.  They didn't even work for Christmas 2018.

Such a good feeling getting all this accomplished.  

Abi did some huge lawn mowing.  She borrowed Gma's mower and mowed these weeds down. she also pulled that big long black border out of our yard.  it was staked in.  That way we can get the grass to grow to the fense and not have a border of dirt and weeds.  Those garbage bags are full of weeds. 

                                   Abi is never going to want to come over again with all the projects.
