Great Quote

I LOVE this quote.  I have felt this way before.  People have often told me that I hold it together very well when I am stessed.  I might, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard.

New Dryer, New Couches and new TV

The Clemons are spiffing up the place.  Lois is NO longer at the bottom of the list of importance.

I tried to dry some clothes the other day, and the dryer just wouldn't start.  Nope, nada nothing.  I tried the breaker and it was just fine.  I let it cool down and it still didn't work.  I couldn't decide about getting it fixed or getting a new one. It is a 13 year old dryer.  So it has had a good life. It was 70.00 to have a repair guy come out. I decided on a new dryer because when they delivered it, I knew it would work.   I went to RC Willey and picked out one in a few minutes.

I was most excited about getting new furniture for my upstairs. The old couches just kindof died a serious, fast death in the past 6 months.  I couldn't find what i wanted at RC Willey so I went to Ashley Furniture and they had what I want. It was where I got the old furniture that I was replacing. I needed something that could wipe clean since they are close in the kitchen.

This is the old space with no furniture

This is one of the couches we were replacing.  Embarrassing actually, but it just started doing that in summer.  I had to wait until I could stay home for delivery to get a new couch.

AND the new.  LOVE it.  I switched brown to gray.  They are like new tennis shoes.  When you test it out, you thought you should have bought them a year ago.  I got them delivered on the same day and It was one of the best days.  New Dryer and New furniture and a day off!

Jack helped me pick out a new rug for the kitchen.  It is Pink and shag so it will be soft.

I also bought a new TV. Thanks to Nick hitting the old one with his fist because he was mad at the game.  I need to set that one up. But I kindof feel a bit uptown due to having so many new things.  It is a nice feeling for a change since I feel like I'm alway at the bottom and have only old junk in my house.

Lax Syracuse

Jack played his second LA game against Syracuse.  He is the goalie.

It was wet and kindof cold at the first. Jack did a great job at goalie.  He is getting pretty good.

Bonneville scrimage

Bonneville didn't have a sophomore team.  So, the sophomores got to scrimate each other.  Nick did a good job at Center.  He is on the left below.

He is the first one in the red jersey above.  Kindof a good pic for me I thought.  I don't get many action shots.

Half time.  He is in the red on the left

His turn on the chain gang.

cookies, landscaping and a disneyworld treat

I have been making cookies lately.  These are my latest batch.  I haven't made these for a really long time.  But they turned out really great..  I think I don't make them because I have to borrow the pan from Gma. They are worth it.

For years, Marlena has had these gross bushes in her back yard.  We would trim them, and they are just yuck. They also attract spiders like crazy.  This year we noticed on our yard clean up day, that they were dying.  It was time to get them out.  So, she called and had someone come and do that.  They put down sod and it looks soo Great.  Should have been done years ago as most things when you finally get around to doing them.

I ordered these shirts from Kohls.  I like the Cheetah one.  A person can't have enough Cheetah themed clothes.  I asked Nick about wearing it to school, (since he's the only one here to consult ...) and he said it was scandalous.  WHAT?  Cheetah is always scandalous he said...Nice.  Just the look I'm going for.  Can't wait to wear it to the Church dances.

My Brooke and her friend TY were in DisneyWorld last week.  He brought me these treats because they are my favorite.  I also got to see his pictures from their trip with Brooke.

These are the  before pics with the bushes removed before the sod.  It makes the back yard so much more usable and nice.

Football Friday

Friday Night was BHS Varsity Football.  Nick plays for the sophomores, so it was his turn to be the water boy for the high school game.

He is wearing a white jersey and standing next to the kid sitting down on the right.

He is front and center in the gray shorts

He is holding the blue water tray talking to the other kid with the white jersey

Andrew came home this weekend for a class he needed to take.  We decided to go watch Nick and the waterboy job.  It was fun to spend time with Andrew.

The game got cold so Andrew and I decided to go to Five Guys.  It was really great.  Then his Friend Will, got off work from the place next door and came and took Andrew and they went to hang out.

Lawn Mowing and Skate Boarding and Drinks

We had to get a new lawn mower for Gma.  Here is Nick trying it out.  We were not soo successful at getting it started.  The neighbor had to help us adjust the wheels but it works like a charm now.

\
Jack got a new skateboard.  Anything to get him outside and off the video games is a win.  He has been practicing and doing a great job.  *

Got this from Abi.  LOVE that she thinks of me when going to Maverik!!

Bountiful vs Brighton Sophomores

Bountiful Played Brighton this week.  Nick was the Center.  He was the starting center! Yahoo.  He did an excellent job. The quarterback got every single ball.  They did win this game.  Nick did receive this injury.  I saw him signal that he needed to come out.  He took a helmet to his arm and was bleeding.  I guess you have to come out if you are bleeding  He got it taped up and was back in shortly.

McCall came to watch the game.  She is a good supporter and helper.  Its more fun to sit with her than sit alone.

Here is Nick after the game.  Chatting with the ladies.  He is NOT interested in chatting with me after the game or hugging.

His game stretching of the whatever is hurting him.

He is on the line of scrimage getting ready to snap the ball...hard to see...I need Michelle to come with her better camera.

He is #70

He looks like he sits out a lot.  He doesn't.  He played every play except when he got hurt but I can't get many photos of him on the field. . .

Here's the cheering section!  Gma, McCall, Me and Jack
