Expensive equipment

Nick has had two or three concussions last year in football.  This year we went to the parent meeting and they were selling these new fancy helmets.  They are much better than the high school helmets although the high school helmets meet all safety standards but these are the new helmets they are replacing eventually.

So, somehow we decided Nick needs this helmet.  400.00 worth of helmet.  Its called a Speed Flex.

I can't believe we own one of these now.  I'm sure he will play so much better.

And for the most important part...his Gma decided she wanted to buy his helmet.  She wanted him to be safe.  That always helps.  Go Braves.

A few things have been going on.  Brooke has been looking at Wedding dresses.  I liked this one.  She doesn't want a traditional dress...

Michelle, Marlena and I went on our weekly field trip to the Alta and Cecret Lake.  It is full of wild flowers.  We went on a short hike and it was absolutely beautiful.

I played golf with a friend at the Homestead...

Nick went to the Dentist and got a good report.  That hasn't happened for a long time.

Michelle sent me this Afgan (which is a crochet blanket)  she got from her mother in Law's basement.  One cannot have enough afgans...Not sure who wants to cuddle up to a blanket with holes and itches, but it does remind me of my grandma.

Nick had an MRI due to his uncontrolled by medication seizures...the results said he was normal.

It's zookeeper week.  Brooke got this poster from someone (can't remember) that made it and colored it.  I think Ty's sister helped .  It is super cute.

Been cleaning and donating stuff of people that no longer live here.  I found these and not sure if anyone wants them...

I need a dress for the wedding.  I thought this was nice.

And taking Selfies at Dicks while buying football cleats...

No wonder why I am so tired.

A Sink that Leaks and now doesn't

I was washing the dishes and my feet kept getting wet.  I investigated and found out that this pull out hose was leaking.  I was pretty sure that was the only problem.  So, I decided I could fix just the hose.

I looked and looked and didn't find anything.  Advice from a relative is that usually things break and they don't allow replacement parts because they want to sell you a new faucett.

I went to home depot and found this kit that had a million adaptors for a new hose so they would fit your plumbing.  We worked a few hours trying to figure it out.  There were a few of us under the sink and it just wouldn't work.  It got heated.
I took these pictures of under the sink but the pictures are not very great...

Finally I decided I was going to have to hire someone.  I looked at some Facebook posts about handymen in the neighborhood so I called one.  He said he had a faucett if I liked it and sent me a pic. I really liked it, and he could come the next am and install it.

Here is the new faucett.  I LOVE it.  He installed it in an hour and cost 130.  I should have just gone with hiring someone to do it in the first place.

Bear Lake and a Bike Ride

The third day we decided to do something different and rent these bikes.  Some rented yesterday and had so much fun the rest of us decided to join them.  They were electric bikes so you don't even have to pedal very much.  It was such a beautiful day and we had a great time pedaling around the neighborhoods in Bear Lake.  Nick and Jack were the only ones from my family that wanted to ride.  Andrew had to do his homework or work (he works online with covid) and Abi didn't want to go.

Mark, Paula, Luke, Stella, Marti, Michelle, Brent came with us.

Oh Mitchell and Abi we saw on our ride and they went Bow Shooting.  That sounded fun too.
