LAX and Bell Canyon

Michelle went out of town with Marti so I was on my own for my traditional Saturday Morning Hike.  Brooke said she would come along.  We decided to do Bell Canyon.

We have hiked it once before years ago.  Brooke and I got up at 6:45 and were on the road by 7:00 am.  First stop Mcdonalds.  We arrived at the trailhead around 7:30 and it took us about an hour to reach the reservoir.  It was a beautiful day and a tad bit cold.  Perfect day for hiking.

This was a view of the city

Here's the bridge we found when we got to the top

We walked around the reservoir and got in some mud.  I about had mud everywhere because I almost slipped. I was glad thats the only amount of mud I had on my shoes.  :)

The reservoir did not have much water.  It was interesting because we walked down to the water and there was lots of different soils and foliage.

Had to hike around that rock...Kindof tretcherous

This is what the hike looked like the whole time.  It was absolutely a fantastaic hike.  Probably one of my favorite hikes we have done.  We hiked about 2.8 miles and were down and on our way to Bountiful for LAX by 11:00.

We had to pick up a Jersey at Dicks Sporting Goods for Nick because he was going to a dance and needed a jersey to wear.  I didn't even get any pics of him.

We hurried to watch Jack play LAX.

Suspension Bridge Hike on a Sunday Afternoon

Sunday afternoon is a great time to go for a nature hike.  Michelle invited us to go to the Suspension Bridge hike.

Nick decided he would join me from our family.  Here we are at the trailhead.

We made it.  It was a pretty cool bridge.  It would sway as you walked across it and was a bit odd but cool

Quite the view from the bridge

That is us on the bridge

Michelle and Marti on the bridge

This bridge was an extra hike that we took.  It was called the secret bridge by someone that walked by.  If you take this detour you will find it.  I was also told that it was the bridge that was there before the big bridge that was built like 5 years ago.   Those are my new sunglasses.  They are prescription and I feel like I'm a million years old needing prescription sunglasses

Marti, Michelle and Nick hiked further than this bridge. I decided to sit at the bridge and protect them from wild animals or chipmonks.  Actually I was kindof tired and Marti hikes way fast so I stayed back while they went on another detour.

That is quite the view.

I want to try this hike when we go to Cedar City next time

We made it.
