Andrew turns 23

Andrew had a birthday.  He turned 23.  I'm not even going to say where does the time go and I can't believe he is that old.

We got him this scoop for retrieving golf balls out of the water.  We have had a few incidents where if we had a scoop we could have gotten his ball out of the water and a few more.

We had root beer floats for his birthday

And we had Cafe Rio.  Ty couldn't make it but conveniently I had a  $29.00 reward I had been saving up for just this occasion when Ty couldn't be there to get us half off.  It was fabulous.

We seem to have a lot of pics of them holding up 23 fingers.

I'm so glad Andrew joined our family 23 years ago.  He is smart, funny, capable, hard worker, kind, and a college graduate.  He is mostly good at golf...:)

It has been super fun to play so much golf with him the past few months and having him live at home.

Brooke and Ty have a Wedding Shower

Brooke was not having a Wedding shower.  Michelle and Gma wanted to do a party and she wouldn't have it.  So Michelle decided to do a wedding shower with everyone, not just the girls.

Paula's gift.  It is a money tree.  It had 100 dollars in it.   Super cute.

Those are giraffe spots on the wall because they got engaged at the Zoo near the Giraffe's.

We had Churros cereal for a prize because they love churos from Disneyland

Party was super fun.  Everyone came except for Abi and Grace who both live out of town.  We had a bbq and then played one game that people asked questions to them like 'who's the messiest' and they had to hold a shoe up for who was the most messy.  They sat back to back.  Then we played a tasting game with drinks from the Rootbeer store.  They were like Grass, Ear Wax, and Dirt.

The churros cereal was the prize for the game.  Super fun and Michelle put so much work into it.

Church the day of the party...I should be probably listening instead of taking pictures...

Trying out the pickle juice.  Mark suggested it so I might get less leg cramps at night.

Timmie's Mother

It is Back to School for another year.  After the first day, we have a tradition to play Timmie's Mother.  It is a long time tradition that I think my sisters made up.  They were watching Lassie on TV and Timmie would come home from school, have a homemade snack and tell his mom about school.  So we played Timmie's mother on the first day of  school.  You have a treat and tell about your first day.

it is down to Jack and Nick and Maureen about the first day.  Nick had football so it was just Jack and Andrew (who graduated from college so didn't have a first day of school) and Maureen.  Andrew decided we needed to go to the driving range.  Jack wanted to go to the gym.  The gym was too busy so he went to the driving range with us.  Andrew decided we needed Betos for Dinner.  We decided to play Timmie's mother with Betos instead of a treat.

We got Betos and a Maverick drink and heard about Jack's first day of school.  Jack was pretty good about telling about his day.  No one was really that interested in my day....

This is the only pic I got of the whole night.  At the driving range.  Just my feet. I have been trying to be in the moment and not take so many pictures.  Maybe I should take a few more

I did remember to take a pic of the flyer for Ladies Golf league

And I did go to the gym after school to work off some stress.

And I remembered my pickle juice last night.  Not as effective for leg cramps but I only had one instead 10

So, Timmie's mother was a win except I am not sure why we didn't have Beto's AND a treat.  I'm not listening to Andrew's suggestions again.  We just might have to play today again too.

Back to School 2022

Once again the school year begins.  Nick and Jack are all I have at home.  I drove myself to school ALONE for the first time in 25 years.  Nick is a Senior and Jack is a Sophomore. I also think it is the first time I have had two kids in the same school at the same time.

It is year 27 or 28 for me.  I can't remember.  I have at least 10 more so it doesn't so much matter.

I couldn't decide which pic for my back to school pic I wanted. I did know I wasn't having a full body shot for sure. . .:)

Abi Visits

Abi decided to come to visit for a few days.  We tried to golf with Andrew and it rained so much that we couldn't go.  Andrew went somewhere else so Abi and I went to JCP to shop for wedding clothes.  I got two shirts for school and a swimsuit.  Not so much for weddings.

Abi decided to wear our Spiderman shirt.  Brooke is so jealous because she was wearing it to Target on Sunday. That shirt was Melanie's (she's dead) so she could match her kids. Somehow I got it.

Abi in the spiderman shirt with the picture of Brooke to make her jealous...

Abi has been sleeping in my bed because I have an extra spot.  I LOVE that.  She did make fun of my pillows and especially the one with the Spiderman pillowcase. . .  She gave me some hints for buying better pillows from Target.

LOVE so much having my big kids come to visit and hang out with me.  Abi and I also went and bought Andrew some stuff for his Birthday at Scheels.  It is fun to have someone to decide what to get for the birthday AND want to get the Scotcheroos from Scheels AND get a Maverick drink too.  I also love that they can go pick up the dinner and I don't have to go:)  I would have never thought that being a mother just gets better and better!

To Do List - complete mostly

This is my To do List. Notice everything is crossed off.  Summer must be over.  Makes me super sad.

My first thing I made with my new range.  I could have made it with my old one too...

I didn't get any golf lessons in like I wanted

Mark always says that if your companion on your mission isn't weird then you are the weird one.  Applies to families too.

Golf Every Day

Andrew has been living with me for the Summer since Graduation.  He has had a few days off work and since I'm going back to school next Monday we had a few days to play some golf.  So we did.

We played Monday on the back 9 at West Bountiful.  I didn't play my best golf but it was fun.

Then Tuesday we played the Front 9.

I also played 9 holes that night at Mountain Dell.  It was my best 9 in a long time.

Monday Brooke came over and we decided to go to Fore Lakes and play the
Par 3.  Jack came with us too.  Brooke decided to just be the Caddy and walk with us since she didn't have shoes and didn't want to play.  We all had the fun that we wanted to.

Then Wednesday we decided to go again and played the back 9 again in West Bountiful.  It wasn't my best game either but the last two holes were good.  Andrew did pretty good too. He can hit a long ball.

What a fun way to spend some time NOT working.  Andrew and I had a great time.  I think we are going to try to do just the driving range tomorrow and work on our game.  Next summer, watch out we will be on fire with the golf.

Disneyland

Brooke decided to get married on the Beach in California so we headed to California for the wedding.  Brooke treated everyone to Disneyland the day before her wedding.  Here we are.  We have not been there for about 18 years.  It was fun to finally let some of my kids know what people are talking about when they mention Disneyland.

This was a fun ride, I think it was Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

This was a good sitting place

We Stayed at the Anaheim Hotel just across the street from Disneyland.  It was great because we could just walk to Disneyland and didn't have to worry about parking.  It was a pretty good hotel with a great pool and a good pizza restaurant.  (that is always a plus)

This is a parade I saw.  It had ONE float...

My treat when I waited for them...my feet hurt...

Tea cups with Jack and Andrew

Tea Cups with Brody, Nick and Abi.  I think it was a bit tight of a ride...:)

That is all the pictures I got for day.  Everyone else took pics so I'll get some and post. What a fun day.  We walked and walked and walked and it was fabulous.  I have missed Disneyland and all the fun.  It was fun to spend it with all the people that I love.
