MORE Thanksgiving golf

 Andrew and I decided to go again on Saturday to the Rose Park.  Love the Rose Park.  We can book a Tee Time and not pay in advance.  Jack and Nick decided to not go with us this time.  Jack said he didn't like golf and Nick was playing with his friend, Sophie.  Both of those reasons were bad because everyone loves golf and Nick didn't end up playing golf with Sophie.  Went to a Movie instead.  

This is the second hole...took this and sent to Mark to ask him if he knew where this is.  Yep he guessed it was the 2nd hole on the front nine at the Rose Park.

We went to Lunch after at the Empire Chinese Restaurant by our house.  We decided to support small business Saturday and go to this small business instead of Panda Express.  It was great.  Andrew paid which was even better.  

Then we decided to go to a free concert at SLCC.  It was Lark and Spur.  It was ok.  They were really good but it wasn't my style of music. It was old style Christmas music so we left at Intermission.  Thats the fun of going places, sometimes is good and sometimes not as good.

Thanksgiving Golf

 

The day before Thanksgiving we have school off.  So we decided to play some golf.  Jack, Nick, Maureen and Andrew went over to the Rose Park.  We saw only two other golfers.  It was a bit chilly.

Then we went to Kohls for some Black Friday early shopping.  Actually I picked up a bingo game that I ordered.  I thought we would be alone for Thanksgiving so I would need a Bingo game. But we are going to Gma's house and she has her own game.

I turned 55 on November 22.  I don't mind Birthdays but don't like a big fuss and don't think it needs to be a national holiday.  So I went to work as usual.  I always go to school.  Then I see this post from Brooke.

Then this post from Abi.  

Then Brooke and Andrew suggested we go to dinner at HuHot a Mongolian Grill which I really love.  We even took Grandma with us.  It was great food, and fun and everyone was able to go.  

Then they gave me a gift certificate for Reflexology.  It is a foot massage plus other massages that I love.  I introduced Brooke and Andrew to it.  So now the three of us can go for a reflexology session  It warms this mother's heart to think they love me so much and were thinking of me.  I certainly love them so much too.  It almost makes getting older fun.  

I left my phone on the bench while I was leading the singing and found this pic later.  Nice.  They should have been singing instead.  LOL

I talked in church and I used this quote I saw.  It was a mediocre talk...

Saw these at Trader Joe's so we might do them for Thanksgiving.  I bought them thinking we would be at our house for Thanksgiving and now we are going to gmas house.  So maybe we will just keep them for next year

Nick got asked to the Christmas Dance.  Its the girl's choice dance and I am not even sure he knows when it is.  But cool and what a cute poster.  

We tended Michelle's dogs, B and Lola.  I took them to the airport to pick up andrew from a business trip.  They got to sit in the front seat and Andrew had to sit in the back.

The New Driver

 

Jack decided it was time for his Learner permit.    I made an appt, found his Birth Certificate, and his Social Security card, AND two forms of proof of address.  It is kind of difficult to find two forms to prove your address when you are 15.   We did have a school midterm report AND a check from Lagoon that he just got.   Funny thing, they just asked me about my Driver License and if Jack lived with me.  Yes he does.  Thats all the proof of address they need.

He didn't even test that long.  He said he was super nervous when he pushed submit. Then it came back that he got 41/50.  You have to get 40.  

He didn't get to drive home since we were in the Cadillac and no one drives my cadillac. 

Well, if you didn't make fun of me that much when I bought it, and you are over 21 I might let you.

And that's a wrap for football for Nick

 

The Bountiful High Redhawks lost to Orem in the Playoff round. So they are out.  Fun fact, Orem was the team that gave Nick the Concussion last year.  They are a pretty good team.  

Nick's #76 was added to the We heart seniors on the ground.  

Nick's cleaning up the radios and stuff.  He was the manager and play writer downer since he couldn't play due to his head injury.

Oh a pic of my garage.  I still think its so cool.  Abi is in there which is against the rules.  She came to visit for a few days and had to park on the garage since I needed to get out early.

Sad the season is over, mostly for Nick.  He has had fun and worked hard and spent lots of time at football.   I sure like watching football more when Nick is helping on the sidelines than playing.  

Now he can concentrate on his Job at Fizz and school...right.
