Sunday Evening Concert

We went to our Sunday Concert again this week.  It was Standards and Substandards.  They were ok.  I liked it and the weather was beautiful.

They introduced the Piano player, who was fantastic and he was my Science Supervisor at Weber state University and a Physics professor.  I have taken classes from him. Guess when you are smart, you can do everything.

Cam Smith won the golf this week.  It was a great golf match.  I love watching the golf on Sundays

My cousin is selling his coolers if anyone wants one....:)

This is the suit we got Nick for his Mission. We got it on Main Street in Bountiful which is an unlikely place but it was a great suit store.

And our menu for his farewell...meat platters

Covid got some of us

We had a great time at Bear Lake.  Wednesday, Grandma had a horrible hacking cough and didn't feel well. Conveniently Susan (cousin) was visiting from Oregon and suggeted a Covid Test.  Grandma tested positive for Covid.  Mind you, this was AFTER she insisted on going to get her hair fixed.

Then I was talking to Michelle on the phone, and she said 'oh that cough doesn't sound very good.".  I did think I was getting sick with a cold.  But I went home and I found out I had Covid too.

We had a party that Night, our King Kamayama Party with the Studdert family and that was why Susan was in town.  Now, Marlena and I were out.

Brooke was sick at Bear Lake, so she took a test and was negative.  Ty was also sick but didn't test.  Fun Fact, Ty's Brother, Gunner also got sick and he didn't come with us on our trip.

Marlena was very sick.  Me, not so much.  Just a cough and felt like I had a cold. I was tired also.  I had to remember to stay home and isolate from people.  I have so much to do with Nick Leaving on his mission and his farewell on Sunday.

I did wonder if the home tests were accurate so I scheduled a test at Walgreens.

Yep the at home test was accurate.

AND this is Michelle's test.  She is NOW positive.  10 Days after I got symptoms, she tested positive.

She seems to be sick.  It is weird the variety of symptoms and intensity of the virus.  You would think we would all be similar since we have similar DNA.  That doesn't seem to be the case.

Grandma is on the mend from it now.

Bear Lake 2022

Headed to Garden City once again to spend a few days at the Bear lake. The Caribean of the west it is called.  We checked in and look we have a door code instead an old fashioned key.  Don't get any ideas that they are stepping up and updating.  Nope.  Just the door code.

Took a pic in case I got liquored up and forgot the code

Evening spike Ball game

Dinner and all our Beach stuff

I didn't get a bunch of pictures because it is difficult for me to walk down closer due to my knee but I did get a few.  Plus I just have tried to stay off my phone and be in the moment more. That equates to less pictures.  Here's the Nick who is leaving on his mission soon

Keeping the canopy from blowing away

We had a great first day at the Bear Lake. Can't get enough water time or family time.

More Bear Lake 2022

Mitchell brought the Wave Runners up late and we were ready to go in the am.  Nick ended up falling in the water at the dock with Mckenna because it took on so much water.  He said he almost got hit by a boat coming down the dock.

Abi and Brody in their Maverick hat

Dinner time.  Sitting outside on the lawn in the evening is the best part.  The kids played these lawn games and it was beautiful.  Just nice to sit and enjoy.

Went on a drive around the lake and checked out the golf course.

You can see the carts in the back ground

Swimming to the Buoys

Just sharing a Cheese Ball.  Brittney and Ty LOVE some cheeseballs we found out and Brittney had one from Harmans that she shared.  It did look kindof good

Wrap up another great trip.  Always glad to return home safe and no one got hurt. We will Miss Nick next year as he will be on his Mission and Abi becaue she will be in Boston in PA School.
