More Memorial Day Weekend

Andrew and I were on our way to Target and my friend called and asked if we wanted to meet them at the golf course.  Lakeside.  YES we did.  They had played 18 holes already and I didn't play with them because I had to go to Church.  They decided to eat lunch and then play another 9.  We went and played the other 9 with them.

It was a beuatiful day and a fabulous day at the Lakeside golf course.

Andrew had a good game.  Me, not so much but it sure was a great way to spend some of the weekend.

Andrew decided we needed to remove the Dish Network that has been on the

side of our deck for 16 years.  We have never had Dish but it as here when we moved in.  It was pulling on our deck and had pulled out some of the screws.  So a good windstorm and it would have ripped off and ripped the deck with it too

We decided to take the disk part off and then the arm part.  It was heaier than you would think.  But he did it and now we are dish free!  Another item in the landfill.

Ty and Brooke decided to go up to Scofield and meet Michelle for some fishing.  AND Ty caought a fish.  Way to go.

Cemetary time Again

We visited the cemetary again this year for Memorial day.  I took Marlena and met Stephen and Bonnie there, put out the flowers, then had lunch at Barrys.

We visited my dad there.

This is another pic of him

Here's what he looks like now

We visited my sister

And Aunt Laura.  She was my Grandpa Lewis' sister.

And we visited these people. My grandma and Grandpa Lewis.  Mark and Blanche Lewis

And Melanie the one in the bottom right in the pink shirt.  She is my older sister.

And here we are at lunch after.  Mark, Paula, Marlena, Stephe and Bonnie.

It was super fun.  Thats where we went after my DAd died ad we buried him in the cemetary.

Love the cemetary day.  Love thinking about all these kind people in my live that have come and gone.

Wedding Reception and a SURPRISE!

Andrew, Brooke and I headed to St. George for Brody's sisters wedding.  We left Saturday morning.

We were excited to see Savannah and Especially Brody.  He has been living in Boston with Abi.  Abi had school.  But hey it was an excuse to go to St. George and get some sun.

We got a room at the Abby Inn with the great Hot tub.

We got to St. George, got some sun, and then headed over to the Reception.

We walked in and guess who was there??

ABI!!!!  She surprised us and was at the Wedding!  So excited to see her!  Dana (brody's mom) flew both of them in for the wedding.  It was so fab!  I was so excited.  We haven't seen her since August.  She looks so good and is rocking PA school in Boston.

We sat around at the wedding and ate yummy treats.  It was a beautiful night and fun to see the Grandpa Jim.  He is the most friendly to us.

Here's the Brody and Andrew. Can't leave them out.  I gues Andrew was in on the surprise to make sure we got there.

We decided after the reception to go Hot tub because that's what we do.  Then we went over to Cafe Rio.  We usually get Cafe Rio at the pool and hot tub and eat but we were running out of time. So hot tub then head to Cafe Rio.  This is us heading to Cafe Rio.

Then we all said good bye until the morning and we thought Abi was leaving for the Airport at 10:00 but then she found out they were not leaving until noon.  So FAB!  They met us at Einstein Bagels for Breakfast.  That's my favorite breakfast place in St George.  Way better than the hotel complimentary breakfast.

Here we are at Maverick. We love us some Maverick.

Such a fun short trip.  LOVED seeing my Abi and Brody.  I have missed them so much!!

Mother's Day Continued

To continue Mother's Day, we headed to the Timbermine restaurant in Ogden on Friday. We were going to go last weekend, but Andrew wanted us to wait for him.  So we did.

Jack didn't want to go because he had LAX practice.  Of course he did.

We even invited Grandma.  She had to change her shirt and shoes but was excited to go.

We had a great time.  Food was good and company was even better.

Andrew even paid for the dinner.

We checked out the Ogden River across the street after.  We have had so much snow that the river was running very high.

Can't wait to go again especially with my favorite people:)

Are You There God?

For book Club today we read Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret.  It is a young adult book that we all read in jr high.  It came out in 1970.  Anyway, it is about 4 girls in 6th grade.  It is hilarious and cute.

We had a great time.  But my favorite line from the whole movie is when Margaret comes home, and the mom wants to talk.  Margaret says that she doesn't want to talk.  So the mother says why don't we just sit.  So they just sat on the couch.   Then she says to Margaret "Are you tired from trying so hard?"

I loved that line.  Seriously.  I'm tired from trying so hard too.

Mother's Day 2023

Mother's day is a great holiday.  I get to decide what I want to do.

It started out at Church with Jack having to speak.  He looked so great in his new suit he got for Prom.  He gave a great talk.  It is kindof difficult to write a Mother's Day talk for your son to give.  But he did good.  Then the primary kids sang and I had to play the piano for them.  Only a bit nervous still to play for them in Sacrament meeting.  :)  I got to go to Relief Society because they have the men teach primary and there is one man that can play the piano.  It was kindof weird since I haven't been there for over 10 years.

I got these messages from my favorite people that made me a mama!!

LOVE that it is at the Maverick!

Love all those people in the photo!

What could be better than a mother's day message from Mesquite Golf course:)

This pic makes me smile every time I see it.  It is totally Nick.

Then I got this message from my missionary.

THEN

Andrew showed up from Alabama!  He has returned home for a while.  So good to see him!  I have missed him.  First thing he wanted to do was throw out some of my clothes.

My favorite thing is being a mother!!  Love them all so much.

Baptismo and 9 months!!

What's up everyone this week is transfers so my p day is today instead of Monday. I thought I would be transfered somewhere else but I'm staying in field club and I'm so happy!!! I have such a love for the members here and all of the people we are teaching!!

Highlights

• our friend anahi was able to get baptized on Sunday and it was so fire!! I got to baptized and I'm so excited for her!!

• a member took us on a drive in his mustang this week!!

• we went to our recent convert Andrew's boxing match.

• we went to the zoo on Monday. So chill

• had exchanges with my boy elder O'Dell which was Supa hot fire

• it's super humid in Nebraska again

• I've officially been a missionary for 9 months now and I've loved every minute

This week was super hot and we did alot of street Contacting.  I love street contacting because it's so much fun just to talk to people on the street. They are taking out the other set of elders in our branch so I don't have to share a branch for the first time on my mission!!

It's kinda weird to say I've been out 9 months. It's so crazy but I've loved every minute of being out here and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!!

Love you all!! Reach out if you want! Remember God loves you!!
