Still in Aurora - NIck's Email from Omaha

What's up everyone! Hope yall had a good week. I'm writing on a Tuesday this week because they gave us a all day p day for Halloween!! Transfers were this week and surprisingly I stayed with my comp and stayed in Aurora. That makes 3 Transfers with this comp and 4 Transfers in Aurora. Crazy!

Highlights

- had our branch Halloween party and we helped out with the trunk or treat. Our branch is super small so the kids just kept making rounds back to us and I eventually took on 5 primary children for the bag of candy

- had to help with Transfers so I got to go on a mini exchange with elder Olivares and it was quite the party

 - lady told me I was in a cult this week and I may have said a few unkind words to her

 - taught our boy nate while his daughters rode their bikes around us and yelled "church people"

 - taught some homies during the Nebraska football game. I mightve gotten a little distracted during the lesson... but don't worry huskers won! (Rip Oklahoma)

Miracle: yesterday we were working super hard talking to everyone and nobody was saying yes to a message but we kept working and finally the lord provided someone. We taught a family who has been in a constant search for truth and they even said they would come to the church to watch stake conference on Sunday! They are lit tho even though their dog scratched me!

It's getting colder in Nebraska. Sunday we woke up to snow and the wind sure isn't helping. This transfer is gonna be very Interesting but I know God wants me here and I'm where I'm supposed to be. I've been thinking about charity and diligence more and more recently and I think they go hand in hand because really charity in its most simple form can just be being nice to people and sometimes that can take so.e diligence to be nice to everyone

Hope yall have a great week! My week was boring but ended off with some fun! Have a fun Halloween!

Suspension Bridge

Michelle and I went on a Hike.  We haven't been on a hike for a few years.  We went to the Suspension Bridge in Draper.  It is a favorite.  We got there around 9:30 am.  It was still cool and crisp but such a beautiful morning.

This was our view on the way down.  Soo many people and homes and mountains and leaves.

Here we are.  I look like Melanie...

This is on our way down.  We almost made it.  We even did the extra portion to the second bridge.  I didn't do that with Brooke because we had Ton with us.

Here's my watch to prove it

Look 2.68 miles and I didn't start it right at the beginning

This is a bike trial we saw and we want to try it.

We stopped at Del Taco after and McDonalds.  We had a great time.  I made it. I did ask her how much faster she would have been with Marti.  Well, probably half as long.  Ok so there is that...
Maybe we will have to try the temple walk next week.  We will for sure invite Andrew...:)

Dance Answer and a Walk

Jack was asked to Winters with the Golf theme.  He decided to answer her with a Dog theme.  Winters would be Ruff without you.  And left the Ton on her porch.  Here's Jack walking the Dog to her porch.

He said she didn't know what to do with the Dog. Well, seriously I wouldn't either.  But he got the dog back and told her yes.

Andrew has extra time on his hands lately, so after lunch with Grandma at Jersey Mikes, they get the philly and Brooke gets the turkey with provalone, Andrew and Brooke took a walk to the Temple.  Ha, it was about 5 miles when I did it last.  What a great activity for the afternoon. Andrew wasn't such a fan, but hey if you get your gains every day and walk on the golf course, you can walk to the temple.

Won likes going to Harmans.

And Nick posted this.  He isn't feeling so great as he has 6 more weeks with his companion that he has been with for like 4 transfers and doesn't like so much.  He was home schooled after all.  There isn't much getting along with someone that is home schooled.  Nick's rocking it and remembering what Mark says.  "If your compantion isn't wierd, then you are the weird one."

Four Games of LAX

Jack played in a tournament or something like that on Saturday.  He played in 4 games.  Two games were at Syracuse High School then he had to go fast to the other field for the other two games.

He went down in the game and I thought oh dang it is the knee we never got an MRI of that is hurt.

Yep looks hurt

Then he ended up at the trainer.  She sprayed some spray on it and then was bandaging it up.

He ended up just getting a bad flesh would with blood all over so he was fine.

This is a fat Corgi that was there at the game.  That is not my Wonton.

He was out of water so a Maverick .50 water came in clutch

He was so tired after and couldn't possibly go to Church the next day.

Tuacahn

Our Tuacahn trip finally came about.  We were plannning on going in June, but Marlena had her knee done so we postponed until October.  We traveled to St George and stopped first at Angelique's or something like that on Main Street.  We got street tacos.  They were good and had this spicy salsa bar with it

After we went to the hotel and swam a bit.  No one needs to see pics of us in a swim suit  But the weather was beautiful and we mostly had the pool to ourselves.

We packed up the drink mugs and headed to the show

We headed to the show and saw Tarzan.  It is much cooler attending in October than June.

Notice Michelle wore the same color shirt that I had on.  I had mine on first

The show was great.  Tarzan doesn't disappoint.

The next morning we headed to Einstein bagels.  We always eat there in the mornings.  We sat outside to get ready to see the eclipse that was happening at 10:00.  We are ready with our glasses I got at Lowe's.  Jack told me they had them so I went and got few pairs.  Who would have thought Jack knew were to get them.

We moved to the car because the restaurnt turned on the misters and we got all wet.

The eclipse was pretty cool.  We didn't get a total eclipse but it was partial and lasted for like an hour.  It got bit overcast but was fun to see the moon cover most of the sun.  Those 3.00 glasses were pretty great.

That was our Eclipse times for St. George

This is Michelle's friends pic of the eclipse.   Thats about what it looked like in St George too

Ton was ready for the eclipse.

Then we headed to the Golf Course.  There is one called the Wee Course that we played in the spring.  It is less than a par 3 we had a great time.

This is the only pic I took.  We did lose a few balls in the weeds.

We went to Durangos ( a place where Dana and Pat like to eat) and got take out
and took it back to the hotel so we had pool time before the show.

Tonight was Charie and the Chocolate Factory.  I had to sit alone because we had two seats together and a single.  I took the single since it was much better seat.

My view from behind me. I'm sure Michelle and Marlena are behind me,

Charlie didn't disappoint.  Willie Wonka was an understudy and he was fantastic.  Seriously he was fabulous.  It was fun to see something I haven't seen.

Another Tuacahan trip in the books.

Another Nebraska email - Nick's Email from Omaha

Ay yo what's up everyone hope yall had an absolute fabulous week! This week was a very much character building week!

Monday: straight up just torched people in basketball. I had to calm down though when a Sister rolled her ankle and he had to stop going so hard

Tuesday: had a good district council and then we had game night with the branch and our recent convert mekenzy came again which is so clutch!

Wednesday: had exchanges with our zone leaders. I got to go with elder Robinson this time and it was a fire exchange. We just vibed all day and just cracked jokes. It was super fun.

Thursday: was a harder day 3/9 lessons we had set up canceled so it was a lot of us just walking around in the cold. The Nebraska wind does not help either.

Friday: we did some service for our guy jeremy. He is going through it right now. The bank foreclosed his house so he has to move which is such an L because the man is so elect but he told us he would keep meeting with missionaries so there's a win I guess

Saturday: a bunch of lessons canceled too but we were able to talk to our friends Daniel and Wanda again. They have a real desire to be baptized and all they need to do is pass their interview now to do it so plz pray for them!

Sunday: Jeremy came to church! Then we went up to our branch presidents house and ate some good food. Later we helped Jeremy with moving some stuff but when we got there he just wanted to talk. So we just talked about what he was going through and holy cow this homie has been through every trial you could ever think of in his life.

This week was fun but transfers are next week so we will see what's gonna happen. Hopefully Daniel and Wanda get baptized next Sunday but we will see what happens.  Feel free to reach out! Imma go kill some fools on bowling now! Have a good week! Love yall so much and so does Jesus christ!!
