Triunis

Marlena has been going to Triunus for years.  Lots of Years.  It is some kind of women's club.  It isn't anything to do with church, just some ladies that have gotten together over the years.  And as one dies, another comes to the Club.

Malrena asked me to join.  She needs a ride in the dark and can't get inside a house alone.  So I did.

Abi has been living here for a while and she decided to come.

The Triunis was about this Freedon Light Festival they hold in Bountiful every year.  The speaker was the organizer.  I didn't even know it was a thing. It has been going on for years.

Anyway, I'm committed to go this next year.

It was fun to go to the Triunis with Abi.  I'm not sure I'll continue when Marlena decides she is finished with it.

This is soo true

This is soo true.

Abi is a Substitute

Abi is waiting to get credentialed for her Physicial Assistant Job so she's substituting.

Here she is on her First day.   Fun fact, she was subbing for Mr. Robinette who use to teach next to me.  He moved to Farmington Jr High because he didn't like Tina or Me.  (seriously who wouldn't like the two of us)  Anyway, she is rocking it.

Here's his plans...

Abi went to St. George and on her way back, she stopped and saw Jack.  His friend, Jackson conveniently was visiting from St. George.  They went to the Halloween party at the University.  Hope they got the Queso!  Miss Jack and Jackson too.  Jack is living his best life.

Trick or Treat and Park City Golf

The Sheriff Department or the Jail had a trunk or treat.  Won had to go of course.

Guess Abi and Brody went along to see the Ton at Trunk or treat.

This is our Ton as a deputy.  He was super cute.  I just saw him the day Abi and Brooke made his costume.

This is Mark and Paula and Milo and Rome for Halloween.

Callen and Liam  Michelle's grandkids came trick or treating to my house.  They were super cute,  Callen had  Halloween party at school that lasted all day.  It had ring toss, glitter tattoos and ghost cookies to decorate.  He was so excited at how fun it was.

Want to make this next year.  I'll forget however.

Spent some time in Park City Golf Course this weekend.  I love Park City.  It was a difficult course I thought.  I was super tired after.  Much more so than at Mountian Dell last weekend.

Our friend Tom took this picture of all the ducks.  They were everywhere

The sad part about Park city is that the 18 Hole has these condos that line the course.  Long ago, my parents owned that condo.  I would have loved for them to have it now. Think how much fun it would be to go up there still and swim.  And golf and rest.

Then later in the day went to the Dee's Family Restaurant.  That is the place where we eat when we golf at Glendale or somewhere close.  They are open late. That is the Senior Spagetti.  It sounds so discusting but it is really good.  Sandra gets it, then last time, Victoria decided to order it.  I ordered it yesterday and now I'm hooked.  7.99 is the best.

It was really good.

Left Work Early

Left work Early on a Wednesday to play golf in Morgan. I couldn't say no to an offer like that.

Kent getting ready to hit.  He is wearing shorts and it is October.  The weather was beautiful

This is my friend Sandra.  The two of them are a bad influence on me wanting me to leave work to golf.  What a great reason to miss work.  I have never heard anyone ever say they wished they would have saved their leave at the retirement party or on their death bed.

So here's to using my leave.

Fall Break 2024

Fall Break started with a Dr. Appt.  It was super great with Dr. Ward. He helped me with A Fib. Here's a record of my Afib for the last year or so.  I still need to follow up with the Cardiologist but I don't like them.  He did say I should make an appt with them again.  Ugh.  They want me to have an Atrial Ablation and I'm not so sure about that.

We also got this new ice maker.  It sits on the counter which I hate, but I love it.  It makes ice in just a jiffy.  Ours in the Freezer has gone out and I don't want to install another one.  I have installed two and I think the fridge is on its way out.  Plus I don't fit in the freezer as well as I use to.  :)

We went to the Theater at Center Point.  This guy in the Blue Sweatshirt we see at a lot performances around the valley.  It says something like on standing ovation is the only way performers know we appreciate them.  He wears that ALL the time.  He carries a binder with him of maps of the theaters.

I love that he does that. What a great thing to do at retirement is attend ALL the theaters wearing the SAME sweatshirt.

Look at this nice ice!  It is soo great.  We take it out from the machine and put it in a bag in the freezer.  Love it.

I tried to schedule golf.  Look at all the times available.

Look at the weather from the Planet Fitness on Thursday.

However, we did get to Mountain Dell after the weather cleared up.  It was cool and beautiful.  The best day.  Long pants, sweatshirt.  Didn't score super great but still great. Good way to end a weekend.

Michelle needed these brads (I think they are called this)  for Primary.  It is difficult to come by some of these office supplies for Primary now.  Conveniently I had THREE bags of these I have bought over the years when I was in Primary.  I gladly gave her a bag. Now I'm down to 2.  I will prob not ever be in Primary again.

NIck went to the BYU game witthTrey.  It was at 8:30 pm.  Trey's dad couldn't go so Nick filled in for the dad.  What a great pic.  I wonder who took it for them.  .  .

Nick is just off his mission so he had to buy some new jeans to go.  He went to the Target and got some Good Fellow Jeans with stretch.  Thanks to Brody for suggesting Good Fellow before the mission.

He also stopped at the Scheels and got his BYU shirt on the way.  BYU won in the last 10 seconds of the game.  Go cougs

Leaf Hunt 2024

We had the annual Lewis Family Leaf Hunt over the weekend.  We decided we have been having the Leaf Hunt for about 50 years.  Maybe missing a few years, like Covid or when all of us were in college.

It never disappoints.

The Stars of the Leaf Hunt.  The Original 4.  We don't have Melanie or my Dad.  He really invented the leaf hunt.  He would be proud we are still carrying on.

Awe love all those spooks.  Those are my people.  We Missed Jack.  He is at SUU.  We were excited to have Abi and Brody attend since they are back from Boston.  And Andrew's friend Lily.  We don't let just anyone come to our Leaf Party...:)

These are the prizes from the Hunt.  Nothing good enough for us.  I think Paula won the best leaf this year.  Grandma gets a gift for everyone.  Grandma's are like that.

This was Brody's first leaf hunt.

Theo got a Fireman thing which included an Axe.  Nick can't get close to an Axe due to his Injury from his mission where he Axed his leg almost off.

Theo with his Axe that makes Nick Nervous...

We missed Nick for two years while he was on his Mission

Andrew got the fake skeleton

Mark judging the leaf submissions.  He has turned into my dad.  That isn't a bad thing.  Soon he will be wearing those New Balance that velcro.

Leaf Submissions.  We have gotten so much better over the years at collecting our best leaf!

Another party in the books.  Everyone that lives close comes to the party.  You wouldn't believe how many people were in the canyon with us.  They must have been having their own leaf hunt.

I forgot Michelle's family.  Here they are.  Her whole family was there. Way to go.

I didn't get a pic of Mark's family.  He only had Luke there.  He was missing the other 8.  We missed them.
