Duster

Love me a good Duster.  This is my Grandma Stella wearing her Duster.  My duster love comes from her.  She liked being in her duster around 4:00 pm.  Love that about her.

Here's another Duster.

These are my Dusters I got.  There are 4 here.  I found a great place to get them and I'm afraid they will go out of business so I need to stock up.  I haven't found a better duster than these.

This is Abi's duster.  Brooke and I got it for her.  It has cats on it.  We don't like cats so that is why it is so great.

Brooke got a duster but she decided to leave it behind the door hanging up in the bathrom of her hotel in Boston.  Dang.  It was brand new and patriotic.  So sad.

Happy Birthday Maureen 58 Years old

I had another birthday.  I have been around for 58 years.  That has to be impossible.  But my Birth Certificate says I was born in 1966.

Brooke organized everyone and we went to my favorite place, Golden Ginger Bistro in Clearfield.

Brooke got the Curry Chicken and I got the Yakisoba Noodles and shared them.  I'm not so sure brooke shared the noodles or I just shared the curry...:)

Most of these  get the General Tao's Chicken.  On the Dinner if they want fried rice or just the entree if they want more chicken.  Jack opted for the more chicken option.

These are all my favorite peeps.  Well, and Michelle and Lynne too.  Love them all.

Love that they organized and spent time with their old mother.  They even brought the Grandma so she didn't get mad.  And the Kent paid which he didn't have to but so nice.

This is the sushi I shared with Kent.  It was Crazies and Super Spicy

This is Brooke's California Roll.  No fish I think

Jack being fed Sushi by Ty.  He said it wasn't that bad.  Good thing because he was in the corner and couldn't have gotten out very fast.

He was the last one served so he was sampling some of my noodles as he pondered the Sushi.

Nick ate the whole thing.  Good Job Nick.

From the Grandma.  Always the right size with some money inside

Abi had this waiting for me after school.  LuLu and a Vuori bag, lemon pies, brownies and confetti.

Found the Happy Birthday sign and put it up.  :)

Brownies with green frosting like a golf course.  And a golf cart on the top.

Inside those bags is a LuLu sports Bra that zips (since I can't get one over my head anymore) and some Vuori socks.  Wow can't wait to try on the sports bra.

It looks like it will be good for sitting :)
Can't wait to try it out and the socks.  I am liking nice socks lately.

So thoughtful and can't believe they even want to celebrate me.  They are my everything.  Love them to the moon and back.

Piercing Party

Brooke and Lily wanted to get their ears pierced a few more times.  Abi is a Piercer at Rowans.  It is a cute piercing store in Farmington Station.  They are staffed by Nurses who do the piercing and Abi is an RN.  She has been working there since they opened a few weeks ago.

You can't tell they are sisters...And Brooke could have worked there in her all Black like Abi

Getting ready to go.  Abi was so professional and asked if it was a special occasion for the piercing or if we had fun plans for the rest of the day...(Ha my petpeeve when stores ask me that.  Because the store is usually the event for the day)

Brooke added that one at the top.  Such fabulous precision

Abi has one too. She had one of the girls pierce her ear up there when they were training so the Girl could get some experience.

All done

Lily decided to get a piercing too.  This is before.  Notice the Red clips that you get to keep to hold your hair back.

After pictures.  Lily was so brave too.

Abi did a great job.  The store is super cute.  Glad I got to go watch.  I hope if Abi starts to do Tatoos that everyone doesn't want to get a tattoo.

I'm not getting any more piercings.  I have two in one ear.  About 35 years ago, Melanie and I decided to get an extra hole on one of our ears.  So we paid for one piercing and each got one.  Well, Melanie paid for sure.  Then we got a pair of diamond earings to wear on the extra hole.  I preferred to wear two hoops in that ear for a while.  Now I don't even wear one on that hole.  Maybe I should start.  I'll get a pair of hoops and see if anyone notices.

My Favorite Veterans

It is Veterans day today and Michelle sent me these photos.  Yep they are my favorites

This is my Grandpa Fon.  I am not for sure but I think this is WWII.  He was born in 1899 and WWII was 1939 so that would have put him as 40.  WWI was in 1914 and he couldn't have gone to war at age 14.  Isn't he so handsome though.

This is my dad, and doesn't he look handsome too.  I think this was the Korean war since it was in 1950.  He was born in 1933 so that would put him as 19.  He didn't see the front lines but he was a typist in Georgia.

Here's my dad doing what he does.  Being a dentist.  That is Hunter.  Melanie's Ex husband. I would delete him if I knew how.

Abi and Brody Employeed

Abi and Brody have moved to NSL from Boston and have been activelty looking for a job.

Brody got a job at Vuori which is expensive workout wear or in my case for sitting.

He is some kindof manager or Team Lead or something like that.  Way to go.  He does a great job in This field.  He worked at LuLuLemon in Boston so he is an expert.

Brooke, Andrew and grandma visiting Brody at work.  Andrew is in the back with Brody so it is difficult to see them.

Abi is Substituting and is also working at Rowan.  This is a piercing store.  They only employ Nurses to pierce ears only.  It is a super cute store.

Andrew and Grandma and Brooke visited Abi at work.

Such a cute studio.  It is an alternative to Clairs that just has regular people piercing ears at the mall, (fun fact, that is where Brooke and Abi got their ear's pierced) and a tatoo parlor.  So it is a cute place to go and have trained professionals.

Abi is rocking it. She loves it.  She says people are in a good mood and always excited to be there to ge their ears pierced.

Nick and Streaker shirt

This is a memory that came up.LOVE this of Nick.  This shirt that you can't see, is a streaker shirt.  We got this from Mitchell.  I should have saved it.

Look how cute Nick is !  He was at the Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's house.

Simulator and Football Game

Saturday Andrew reserved the Simulator.  I decided to go over and show off my golf skills...I had to have a Maverick drink first.  LOVE this coaster which is fake grass.   I need to get some for my house.

I got Brody a drink too.

Nick's showing off his style which is more like a baseball swing

Nick wearing the BYU shirt for the game today

Andrew showing all of us how to golf

Brody taking his turn

After the Simulator, we went over to Grandma's house to watch the BYU vs University of Utah game.  She gets ESPN and we don't.

Andrew and Brody.  Andrew gets the chair since Grandma is not there.

I'm using the BYU blanket since my dad is dead. That was his blanket.  Abi on the floor using the other blanket.  She came over after work.

BYU won the game.   It started at 8:30 so I had to leave before it was over.  It was so tired.

Fun time was had by all.

Nick didn't come over because he was at a friends house watching the game in his BYU shirt and new jeans.

Voting and a Missed Career

It is election time.  I dropped off my ballot and Brody and Abi's.

Then I headed to school.  The parking lot was empty.  I had to double check that it was really school today.  It was election day and some people had the day off.  Andrew got off work early to go vote.  Yep we really did have school I was just early.

I had a bit of a crochet career.  I mean I made a few blankets and they turned out ok.

Looking on Facebook market place I  noticed this crocheted sweater or coat. Look at the price.

I can't imagine wearing that or evey buying it.  It is marked down to 100.00.  It probably took that much in yarn.

Then this weird thing...20.00 you know it took that much in yarn to make it.

I was a granny square queen.  Mine didn't look nice and neat like these do

This one is kindof cool.  Nativity

Feeling like I missed the boat not pursuing more crocheting.  Then I actually use an afgan (what they are called as a blanket) and they are itchy and not soft.

Brooke Ty and the Ton

Brooke, Ty and the Ton got family pictures the other day. Look how cute this one is.

Here's the Ton in my bathtub. He loves to jump in there.
