New Years Day Golf

I saw that Schnieders Riverside and the Bluff was open for Golf on New Years day.

We were all in for the golf.  Nick has only played once since he has been home from his mission.

It was super cold.  Like 35 degrees but they let us take a cart.  I forgot the Cart cover and the seat cover.  I did remember the golf heater that helped with the cold hands for a bit.

It was a great day of golf.  I played horrible but I did get to use my new driver Andrew got me for Christmas.  I need some practice with it for sure.  But sure is fun to have a new club to use.

Andrew did the best I think and Jack almost hit a guy but not sure he even noticed.  He hit the tree instead which saved him from hiting the guy.

After the golf, Jack decided we needed to get some food so we headed to Panda Express.
Conveniently we got a call from Nick in Andrew's car asking if they were invited to the Panda.  Sure are.  Come on for a 2 item plate.

Great day of golf on January 1.  Who golfs on New Years day?  It was a great idea.

Christmas Golf in Mesquite

Went on a Golf trip to Mesquite after Christmas.  We did the Stay and Play which is a great deal.  We stayed at the Casa Blanca and also played golf at the Casa Blanca the first day.  It is Winter time so we started around 11:30 and got off just before dark.  It gets dark early right now.

Casa Blanca is a good course, that is flat.  It is difficult for me but fun and beautiful.  I love desert motifs.

This is the pool that was closed.  However, the hot tub was open so after dinner we found our way to the hot tub for about an hour.  Such a great way to unwind.

We also played at The Palms.

This course was fairly flat on the front 9 and the back 9 was a challenge.

I decided to start my watch to see how much I walked eventhough we took a cart.

I walked 4.8 miles with a cart and I started this late on the second or third hole.  No wonder I was tired.

We also stopped at Cedar City to golf 9 on the way home.  You don't even need a tee time, just show up.  Love that about it.

Not a great pic but is all I got.  I want to play this one again in the summer time because it would be really pretty with the red rock.

After Christmas

Jack went to Michelle's house to watch BYU football.  I think BYU lost but he partied with the Pearts.

Brooke went to the Rowan and had Abi change her earing that Abi pierced a while ago.

And this is true.  Another year no hole in one.

Jack's collage.

And our brother in law (married to Melane who is dead) got another class ring.  Who needs another class ring or wanted one in the first place.

Jack getting his picture taken for his new Driver license.  He lost his wallet about a month or two ago and is just getting around to getting a new one.

2024 Decluttering

Another Year has come and gone...and another decluttering chart

Here's my final tally for the 2024 year.

Here's the other chart that I didn't fill out.  I didn't make my goal AGAIN.

However, I think it is a win always because I did get rid of almost 1000 items!

I don't get a prize for filling out the chart, it just gives me a thrill to see all the HUD gone.  AND I haven't missed any of it.

I have been doing this for a few years, and although I have never filled out the entire chart, if I have gotten rid of 1000 items EVERY year that is at least 6000 items.  Yay.

I have 2025 printed and ready to go.  Here's to less HUD.
