Nick goes to Vegas for Utah State Basketball

Nick has been living his best life at Utah State.  He decided over springbreak to go to Las Vegas to soume tournament that Utah State was playing in.  If they win, they go to the March Madness.  Something like that.

He said it was tons of fun and went with some of his friends and Jaden who's dad is a big wig with Utah State Basketball.  

Bingo with the Ladies

March brought with it another night of Bingo with my friends Sandra and Kim.  It is at the Eagle's Lodge in Brigham city.  We had a potato bar for dinner and it was really good.  It was close to St. Patrick's day so Sandra and Kim have the Green Motif. I didn't have anything St. Patrick's day to wear.  I'm trying to buy that same sweater for next year.  Super cute.  

There are 12 games of Bingo and a raffle after dinner.  We were lucky this time and didn't win anything in the raffle. I think it is just stuff the Eagle's members bring from home.  I did buy 5 raffle tickets so I could support them.  

AND trying to use this coupon for some new clothes for wearing around.  Not sure where to buy clothes these days because everything is online and I hate returning it. 

Miracle kinda week - Jack's email from Alaska

Yo yo yo what up everyone how is everyone doing? I am doing well another week down as a missionary so that was good. This week was hecka chill for the most part. We had a ton of lessons and found some new people to teach 

 Highlights 

- we finally met with Ron he didn't come to church but you could tell he felt a lot better after he met met with us.

 - we met with Kevin again another friend who wants baptism but has some legal stuff going on

 -2 of our friends came to church

 - we taught a guy named Alex and he was the most elect human being I've ever seen 

 - we had some bussing member meals this week (grandma that means they were really good)

 - our friend bashed us so we dropped him. Check the Google photos for that.

 - and I'm going golfing today

Hale - Peter Pan Goes Wrong

 It was time for the Hale Center Theater.  We saw Peter Pan Goes wrong.

It was like the Play That Goes Wrong but with Peter Pan.  It was funny.  Started at 7:00 pm so we didn't get to go to dinner.  Funny we all survived that part.

Marlena was able to go since her back surgery.  She is just SLOWER getting in and out.  But she does it.

Amazon to Jack

 The best way to get something to a missionary is from  Amazon.  I sent something from the post office TWO times, and both times it came back undeliverable.  I also sent it to the same address from Amazon and it got there.  Jack needed an under armor 3/4 quarter zip.  Conveniently, I get 40% off at Under Armour this week.  Yes I can do that. 

Should be delivered tomorrow.  

This was his pkg last week.  Had some hair stuff and Nutella Cookies.  Delivered and left outside.  He finally got it.

Christmas we sent him this dinosaur.  He is so great at Legos.  I sent him a Golf Cart this week.  He put it together in no time.  Way to go missionary.

Pedicure

 Started the day at Holiday as usual.  I decided I wanted a donut, but they didn't have any.  I opted for a twinkie.  I only ate one and it was soo good. Breakfast of Champions.

After school, it was Pedicure time.  Marlena wanted her nails done, so Michelle and I get a Pedicure.  

We got the Deluxe, which was gel polish AND about an hour of leg rubs and scrubs and  hot stones and hot towels.  It was absolutely Fabulous.

We got Dinner at Chick Fil A and it was great too.  I didn't get any pics but just take my word it was outstanding.  

Tuesday Club

 Every Tuesday (or sometimes Monday) Brooke and Andrew go to Grandma's house.  They take her to Costco, Physical Therapy (lately since her back surgery), shop at Smith's for her to get her Meds, and of course get Lunch.  Sometimes they play Cards.  

Nick was invited this time because he is home for Spring Break.  They had Wing Stop according to Nick, but looks like Grandma got Cafe Rio.  

Brooke found Grandma's chair at RC Willey.  Such a great chair. 

Grandma tends the Ton when they do the shopping if she's too tired to go.  Weird because she would NEVER have done that years ago. Usually the Ton sits on the couch and looks out the window and waits for Brooke to get home.

This was Pre back surgery when Grandma could get around better.

Andrew also takes Grandma to her hair appt every Thursday.  Michelle did last week, and all the ladies in there said 'Oh where is your Grandson". After hair, they get McDonalds.

Love that they are taking care of their Grandma.  

The Alaskan super bowl - Jack's email from Alaska

This week was so fire lowkey not gonna lie, well like actually not too fire but it wasn't a bad week so like let's gooooo.

 This is gonna be a short email for sure but some highlights of the week

 - I found out the first guy I've ever taught on my mission is now on date for baptism for match 21st

 - the iditarod is like the Alaskan super bowl. Never been by so many drunk people in my life.

 - Kevin and evan came to church this week. 

 - got told I believe in the wrong Jesus and the guy is going to convert me 

 - absolutely dumped another foot of snow the last 2 days 

 - had zone conference and that was fire 

 - I finished doctrine and covenants so that took forever but such a good thing to read

Anyways it was a good week and found some super cool miracles even just from my old area that made my whole week. Anyways, yall should send me an email i love hearing from yall

Golf at Murray Parkway

The weather has been soo great that we are able to get out and golf.  I did find this 3/4 zip up in my closet that I decided to wear because it is blue.  It was a size smaller so it fit better than other things in my closet.  I like the golf motif too.  It was from the Temu. Who would have thought.  

Here's my usual golf wear. . . 

Played at Murray Parkway.  It was beautiful and so great.  I only took one pic.  Not sure it matters that I need to take a bunch but it was fun and love the Parkway.  This is where Jack wanted to play before his mission and we couldn't get on.  We will have to play it when he gets back.

Nick's home for Spring Break and Rose Park

 Nick came home late on Saturday night.  He said he wanted to chat with Josh and Robert at church.  Ok.  I couldn't figure that out, but it was the start of Spring Break.  Andrew wanted to know if Nick was home, so here's proof that Nick was home.  He was at church with me.  

Here's good advice for me to remember

Andrew decided we needed to play Golf on Sunday.  He and I were going to play, but with Nick coming home, we added Nick and then for a 4 we added Lili.

Nick hit a ball almost to the Parking lot.  Good thing he didn't hit any cars.

This is the 2nd hole, which is SUPER long on Redwood road. It is a Par 5.  Kills me.

We decided to walk.  I haven't been walking golf for very long.  So great to get out and walk and be in God's country with my fam.  It would have been better if I had beat all of them.  Nope. Not today

I did need to rest after the walking.  Andrew is super nice and let's me use the good pull cart.  His has a stool, but he forgot to put the stool on the cart.  He said we were only playing 9 so I didn't need to sit.  Well, yes I do...

I thought Nick needed a pic for his Mutual account. He said he already had one with that shirt on...Can't have more than one pic with the same shirt.  No you can't.  All my golf pics have the same clothes.

Great way to spend a Sunday Afternoon. I suppose we should have stayed home and did Come Follow Me.  We are more golfers than come follow me people.  :)  I did teach primary today so that was some Come Follow Me.
