Mitchell fixing all the things

Mitchell has a woodworking business.  He is crazy busy and does such nice work.  We hired him to fix some stuff in our house.  The second drawer front was broken off for the last 7 years.  Mitchell fixed it and fixed the drawer above it that was starting to break.  It is so nice to finally have all the drawers with the fronts attached.

He also fixed this piece on the banister.  We do need to paint it.

He fixed the back door that has looked like this for about 10 years

The door to the garage hasn't shut all the way unless it is dead bolted.  I asked chili to fix it long ago, and all he did was take the plate off and that made ths situation worse splitting the door frame.

Mitchell cut the bad out, and put this piece in.  He needed it to dry so he needs to come back and drill out the place for the plate.  We have to be very careful to shut the door and not let it slam until he does that.  It is soo great to have the door shut and not have to be locked.

Look at that door shut

I come in the front door or up the stairs and I see that poster of Jack.  I miss him so much.  He is doing the Lord's work in Alaska.  10 months.  Love him and miss him.

Cleaning out at School - 32 years of stuff

I have been teaching for 32 years.  Yes that is a long time.  I started out teaching Human Biology, Biology and Physical Science.  This is my Human Biology stuff that I haven't taught for 27 years.

It has been sitting in my room for that long, I decided it was time to get rid of it.  I am NOT teaching that ever again, and if I did I would need more modern material.  Each of these binders are a Unit.

calendar to plan each unit

Yellowed tape

Overhead notes

My list of videoclips from a Laser disc player.  We were top notch in technology with a laserdisc.

Guided notes for each student

Sat for so long they are stuck to the binder.

It is a bit nostalgic to look at all these and reminisce how much work I put into those lessons and they have sat for 27 years.  Too old to use now and Old font and Overhead projectors that we don't even use now.  Getting that much closer to retirement or I could be dying wanting to get rid of my old stuff.
