Week 32. MIRACLE MONDAY MOTIVATION

What's good everybody. This email is coming on a Tuesday because we got transfers this week so it pushed our p day back a day. Whenever we have 8 day weeks we call the Monday we work on miracle Monday just to hype everyone up. It is a grind though because it's an extra day before p day so the whole day just feels super longggg. My comp and I decided we needed to hype up the rest of the zone so we made a hype voice recording of just motivational speakers. It was super hype!!!

Tuesday we played basketball with the youth and you already know my comp and I balled out. Felt like church ball all over again. We also found our friend Ray who I'd super elect. She had some questions about the book of mormon and the curse the lamanites get but we were able to clear that up. She is super open to learning more about the gospel.

Wednesday: we were able to meet with James and talk about baptism with him. He's been taught by missionaries in the past but his wife says that this time he really wants to commit and become a member

Thursday: we were finally able to get back in touch with Andrew. He went off the grid for about two weeks. Apparently he's been on that training grind and he still wants to baptized. His only problem is he smokes so our goal is once he stops smoking for 2 weeks he can get baptized

Friday: we had a lot of street contacting!! Not many ppl wanted to talk to us but the people that we did see we really were persistent and tried to get them to accept a message. It was a lot of fun though because elder Dennis and I just made games out of street contacting.

Saturday: we talked to a ton of people but nobody wanted to listen to us. We were able to talk to Andrew again about his struggles.

Sunday: GAMEDAY!!! Andrew pulled up to church and so did Mark. If everything goes well then they both should be baptized next transfer which is so cool!! We also talked to this guy named Dustin. This was one of the most interesting conversations on my mission. My boy started talking about Greek mythology and how the pioneers couldn't have made the temple in salt lake because they didn't have electricity. It was so weird but homie said he would pray about the book of mormon so it was a dub

MIRACLE MONDAY: we talked to 65 ppl and nobody wanted to hear a message about Jesus. Kind of an L. But then we pulled up to a come follow me study group with our friend Mark and brother Washington gave us some good food so it was alright. Then we spent the night at the other field club elders apartment and just partied all night.

That was my week. Transfers are this week and elder Dennis and I are running it back in field club so that's lit!! We gonna go crazy next transfer. This transfer went by so fast and I'm just so grateful to be out here serving God and being apart of the greatest work!!! Hope all yall are staying safe! Love you all!!!

Jack - The last one

Today is remote learning.  SNOW SNOW.  He says oh I think I'l go to the gym.  NO it is too snowy.

Then this is my usual every night.  He comes in without a shirt (don't mind the stuff everywhere I just got back from Mesquite)

And talks to me in some wierd dialec of slang and today he is singing to me using that loud speaker.  He acts like I have never done that..:)

Here he has come in and told me how buff he is and singing some more.

I'm sitting on the bed working from home due to snow.

Then he comes in with this and puts on his cut off shirt which is the thing I dislike soo much.  I almost threw it away when I did the wash but I thought it was Nick's...Next time gone.

I told him he better act decent or he gets ousted from parking in the garage.  He didn't like that idea so much due to all the snow he would have to be scraping off the car!

Brooke tended him while I was out of town and she described it as tending a cat just have to make sure he is still alive once in a while.  He is much louder than a cat.  :)

And then I get a picture of this.  Jack and Theo. So cute

THEN

Then I go outside to go to the gym and Jack has only shoveled HIS side of the driveway.  It would have only taken about 3 shovels to do what was behind me :)

Falcon Ridge and The Palmer

Another trip to Mesquite to try out the other golf courses.  We played at Falcon Ridge the first day.

It was absolutely beautiful.  AND so fun.  AND difficult.

It was probably the most difficult course I have ever played and it was challenging for sure.  But fun.  I did ok, but was tired because there was lots of walking up and down hills to get to the tee box or get your ball or get back to the cart.  But I did it!

Ate dinner at the golf course and then a trip to the hot tub.

We stopped for dinner in St. George at this Indian restaurant called Turmeric and it was fabulous.  We ate there last time because we couldn't find anywhere else that wasn't busy and loved it.  That is the Naan bread with garlic.  A must.  LOVE it.

We stayed at the Virgin river in Mesquite. Not the best.  It was all that was available but it wasn't the worst and it had a hot tub that was open til 9:00.

The Second day we played at The Palmer.  This was some of their favorite course and it was designed by Arnold Palmer.  Hence the name Palmer.

This was a Golf Club. I sure felt out of place at such a great course.  I mean, they pick up your clubs and take them down to your cart, then wipe off your clubs when you are finished and put the head covers on and put them back in the car.  The problem is that you have to remember to have some cash with you to tip them.

Thats my friend Sandra. She's a great golfer

That's Sandra again, and Kent and Frank.  They are all good golfers.  I'm like the weakest link.  I don't even bring that great of snacks.

The holes were so great and so long and up hill and down hill.  I liked this course much better than Falcon Ridge.  I even got a par.  :)  and a few bogeys.

Great weekend for Golf. We came home to a Snow Storm.  So much storm that school was on remote learning due to Snow.

Loved it and can't wait to go back.

Bountiful vs Olympus

LAX tonight was suppose to be at Bountiful High School.  It was changed to Olympus due to snow on the field.  Olympus has turf and Bountiful has grass. Not sure if that was the reason.  So we headed to Olympus High School.

Here's the post.  Then this post came out

Pre game stretching

Jack is in the red penny with the black leggings warming up for the game

National Anthem.  He's in the black leggings by the guy in the black sweats.  The black sweats is his friend Thoren

Starting line up.  Jack's #7

Then this happened.  He dropped his stick and ran off.  The trainer took care of him.  He hurt his ankle.

He went back in for a few minutes

Then stayed out for the last quarter.

Olympus totally beat Bountiful.  It was about 20 to 5.  They were the champions last year so it made sense that they were so good.  With that knowledge, it is pretty good that they only scored 20 times.

Jack had a great game before he went down.  His shoulder from the last game seemed to hold up.

Let's see what Herriman brings
