Sushi with a General Authority? - Jack's Email from Alaska

This week was hypeeeee not gonna lie, also very packed full of meetings and zoom call it was insane. We have 3 days full of 3 hour conferences and it was just a lot of information thrown at us for sure but it was blessed. We flew to Juneau on wednesday night and our confernece was the next day. I got to see a few of my mission buddies so that was cool. When we got to the airport on wednesday, my companion and I were the first ones to get there and we saw Elder Wada there. He invited us to get sushi with him and his wife so that was cool. Had to make sure I was on my A game lol.

We flew back to Anchorage Thursday night, our flight got delayed so we didnt get in until 1 am. We then had a meeting at 9 am so that was kinda brutal not gonna lie. But it was a super cool experience for sure.

 Highlights

- I found a Spanish speaking guy using Google translate so like that was crazy

-we found 4 more people regardless of countless hours of meetings

-I went to juneau

Low lights

- Those meetings had me cooked

- we got a lot of new insight on how to teach out friends

- some member gave us like $100 worth of groceries

Spiritual thought: Elder Wada was talking to us about how to really apply the book of mormon. He read 1 Nephi 1:1 where it says " I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents" and he talked about how every person in the room wants to be a good parent or how they have good parents. The way he was able to relate it in the moment was super cool about just one verse at a time and how they are so sincere. These are gifts we surely do take for granted.

Anyways send me an email would love to hear from you all!
