This and That
Blessed week - Jack's email from Alaska
What
is up everyone!! Another rainy, cloudy, and windy week in the books here in
Alaska. This week was probably the most blessed week in my mission for sure. We
found so many new people this week to start teaching and it was awesome! This
upcoming week is the last week of the transfer so it will be a good on for
sure! Let's get into the week!!
-
One of the biggest miracles was we had a phone lesson with a friend named
Ashley who we taught for the first time, she ended up coming to church!
-
our other friends have slowly been not progressing so we might be dropping some
of them soon
I
started rereading the gospels this week. I have almost finished Matthew and I
was reading about his final week on earth. When he suffered and died for us and
reading it I have just come to realize how blessed we are to have the knowledge
of the atonement. To know Jesus Christ loved us so much he suffered for every
single one of us. I also love how in this Jesus says in Matthew 26:39 And he
went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father,
if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but
as thou wilt.
He
showed us what aligning our will with God is and how to truly be humble. That
is the best Gift I've been able to see on my mission is the power the atonement
has on all of God's children.
