A Trekker
Andrew just got home from trek. We bought his pioneer outfits at the Deseret Industries and his hat at the wal-mart. Who would have thought to get our trek stuff at the Walmart. He said he had such a great time, but not ready to go again for a while!! It was quite the sight when I dropped him off at the Church and picked him up. Seeing all these faithful souls (the adults were the cream of the crop for our youth..) in pioneer skirts and bonnets and slacks and long sleeved shirts and suspenders ready to go on a long hike to increase their testimony of Jesus Christ! I just stood and watched Andrew help unload and watch the hugs. I wish I could have gone but I would have needed a Pa!

A Memorial Day trip to Las Vegas
we spent the weekend in Las Vegas visiting my brother Mark and his family. My dad is turning 80 on June 2nd and we decided to go to Las Vegas and celebrate with Mark. Everyone was there but Blake and Micaela and Mitchell (serving a mission in Columbia). It was a super fun trip of plenty of swimming and good food. nick, Stella and Jack couldn't have spent more time in the pool.
On Sat we went to the Springs Preserve. it is this nature center that was built on this natural spring and had some cool science stuff and some animals and just fun. I thought it was a great place to spend some time in the afternoon. We went home for more swimming and a BBQ and our birthday party. It was a spectacular party. Dinner and a cake. No gifts. FAB! I guess our gift to him was just being there all together.
Sunday Nick, Stella and Jack were swimming and paying goggles store. They collected all the goggles from the bottom of the pool and Stella made a goggles store on this raft. Googles for, sale she would yell . "two for one". "oh come on guys" she said (cuz they not responding ). Then jack "okay" and he went and got some. Soo funny to watch then come up with these ideas.
Later Nick and Stella were playing that they were the smartest in the class so the teachers gave them more to study which was rocks.
I went and saw Marks office. so very nice. he gave me a case of toothpaste and some tooth brushes. Love Him (I would love him even without the toothbrushes). He has a great family and wife. And a nice house with a fun pool! No wonder my children were soo excited to visit him! (me too).
Mark promised Andrew that he would take him to the pawn shop that is on Pawn Stars. so nice and he even bought him a T-shirt. Very much appreciated!

Grandpa turns 80
We went to Las Vegas for Grandpa Lewis' 80th birthday. We had lots of swimming and eating and fun. And LOTS of swimming. Mark and Paula are such great hosts. They have a way nice house and beautiful pool. Here is grandpa's cake with a flag. The flag was for Memorial day we think. Hayden picked out the cake. We had a BBQ of hotdogs and Hamburgers. There were no gifts. Our just being there is a gift enough! hahah

Mothers day
Mothers day 2013 was the day McCall spoke in church because she just got home from her mission. Fab dinner and conversation at Michelle's house after. Then Jack gave me a trivet that he made in school and Abi wrote me a poem! Here is a pic of the trivet and I'll post the poem as soon as I get it from her! The best part was that I got out of teaching Relief Society because I had to go to Michelle's ward!!! Yahoo!
