Nick

Nick doesn't like to shop for clothes.  Today I needed to go to Dicks Sporting goods and exchange Andrew's football gloves.  What a good time to get him to go.  Well, we get to Dicks...Right next to Buffalo Wild Wings...Nick says 'oh let's go to Buffalo Wild Wings'...who can turn that down.  Nick got the chicken strips and I got the salad and chips and salsa.  It was great.  Fun environment.  We watched some of the Olympic Basketball while we were there.

Then Andrew calls and he needs a chin strap and a mouth guard.  Well, back to Dicks we went for those.  Nick decides he needs some football gloves.  I had a
$20.00 off of 100.00 so the lady returned Andrews gloves and let me re-buy them along with the other stuff and I got all of that plus the $20.00 coupon!  Yahoo.

These are chin straps that I sent to Andrew asking which color...no they are not cups...

So after, a trip to Dicks, Buffalo Wild Wings, and then back to Dicks.   Nick was tired and wanted to go home to get ready for football.  No success for School clothes...but we had fun!  It is still Summertime...so there is always tomorrow

Then the rest of the story...so the next day we started out school shopping again...this time he wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for lunch...okay. I have a gift card.  We get there and Texas Roadhouse isn't open for lunch...:(  Who would have thought). So we ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings again...I didn't take any pictures because I was wearing the same shirt today and had the same thing.  Oh and we shared an onion ring appetizer.  So, the above picture is for both days...talk about being the dog days of summer....and not changing your shirt...

And to top it off, we didn't buy Nick any clothes today.  We did try on some shoes but they didn't have his size and we didn't find any clothes that he wanted...guess he wants another day of lunch...

The rest rest of the story...so Friday, Nick says he wants to go clothes shopping again...right I am onto him today.  Well, he wants to go to Texas Roadhouse first since we couldn't go there the day before. Okay.  So I had a $15.00 gift card I got for my birthday last year.  So it wasn't expensive!

Of course after, we wanted to go home.  I made him to go Old Navy and return some stuff.  He said he wasn't trying on any clothes.  I'm sure he wants to go shopping next week too.

Susan, Joseph, Sickness, Planet, Photobomb

My cousin Susan, came to visit.  We decided to go golf.  Talk about random.  We had a blast.  We are about the same level of golf skill so it was super fun.  It was HOT.  It was nice to see how much she was sweating...just much as I was.  It is a genetic trait to sweat.  We went to Cafe rio after.  I am not sure who won, but it sure was fun.

These are my Joseph Shoes.  They make me look like I am trying out for the musical Joseph.  I forgot all about them and decided to wear them to Church.  I quite like them.  In fact, I wore them the next week too.  Funny though, no one asked me when my performance of Joseph is.

This is Brooke at the Planet Fitness.  She is always taking pictures and making fun of me on Instagram or snapchat.  So here I am taking a pic of her,

I have a sickness.  This is all the new clothes and shoes I have bought and not worn yet.  (not the magnet board or the hoola hoops.)  I certainly have a sickness that I buy so much and don't wear it.  I need to take some of it back.  But it is all good stuff.  Probably i will grow out of it before I get around to wearing it.

This is the same pile of stuff, but now its on the new carpet!!  So it looks nicer!

Update on the above...In my quest to get rid of stuff, I returned over 100.00 of the above stuff.  I decided I didn't need it.  Some of the receipts dated back to October.  They probably don't fit anyway...:(  I still have two pair of shoes to return.  Don't need sandals anymore when I have a pair already.  Cleansing.

Here is me photobombing Brooke.  Haahahahah

7 Peaks

We have only been to the water park like 4 times all summer.  Once football starts, it is harder to get there since they practice almost every night.  But we did manage to get to the water park again and see Andrew in action.  He wasn't much on the cooperating side however...

But Nick and Jack had fun and I did too.  I love the Lazy River or water slides that are made for grandmas that are nice and slow.

Church

We spend a lot of time in Church on Sundays.  You think about 3 hours every week for 52 weeks a year...cuz we go every week...thats 156 hours a year we spend just on Sundays going to church.  Here is a quick pic of us in church.  I don't think you should take pictures in the chapel. I think its actually outlawed.  But here is my family in church.  About the second time that has happened all Summer!

Brooke, Abi, Jack, Nick and Andrew

These pictures make me smile and they really are not that great of pictures.  Love them so much!   And just glad we are all there.

Costco

Costco...I have such a large family that we end up at Costco about once a week.   Here are my helpers at Costco enjoying the pizza   That is mine in the front...

Our cart is at least this full each week

usually more like this cart.  This was 140.00 worth of groceries.  Wow how did I get out for only that much...Usually it is around 175.00.  I like 140.00 better!!

Nick gets Jr High Shots

Nick and Abi both got their shots.  Nick got some shots for Jr high.  He also got the last in the series of the HpV Cancer shot.  Abi got the last of the shot also.

Nick is ready for Junior High, besides the fees paid, and the clothes...
But this is his immunization record.  If you are not up to date on your shots, the school will send you home. I think for our school it is the first day.  Not sure why they don't tell you that when you turn in your shots.  Maybe they do, but as I send my 7th graders to the office due to no immunizataions, I like to make sure my own children don't get sent...

This pic was on the wall.  It is Terry Bradshaw, the old time quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Mark LOVES the steelers (well, at least he did) so we had to send him a pic!

Hike to Cecret Lake...well, sort of

We decided we needed to take a hike.  So the Friday before July 24, we headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon to a hike I have heard about and never been on.  Cecret Lake.  Well, the problem is that it was kindof a holiday and the parking lot was full when we got there.  So we opted for a lower hike in the Alta Ski Resort.  Can't remember the name.  It was a bit more strenuous than I wanted for the day, and we had to just turn around when we wanted to.  I like to have a destination, not just hike and sweat for however long.  There were signs along the way to read about the flora and fauna.  So that was fun.  When we got to #10 we decided we were finished and came down.

This is Nick in the red, and jack ahead in the blue.  Jimbob is the white shirt on the left.

We did see one deer

After the hike, we decided to stop at Maverik.  We sent Nick in, and he came out with all three drinks.  I wasn't sure how he was going to do it, but he got a drink holder.  So Smart!  I have trained our Maverik shoppers so well.

Girls Golf Lessons with Doug

The girls decided this year to finally schedule some golf lessons.  There were 6 of us so Doug, (the golf Pro) decided we could have our own class.  For three weeks, Michelle, McCall, McKenna, Brooke and Maureen headed to Mulligans for some golf.  We had a practice session, and then we got to play a round on the course.  It was SUPER Hot and totally fun.  Abi even joined us for one time.

Doug was soo patient with all of us ladies.  McCall and I even went to the driving range to practice once.

We still need to practice a bit more but we are on our way!!

Funny thing was Doug didn't even say anything about my playing before...he couldn't even tell I have been playing for 20 years....I must be that bad!
