Thanksgiving 2017 in the books

Thanksgiving started with a workout at the gym!  Abi, Brooke and Maureen went to the Planet Fitness at 7:00 am.  It was a tad bit crowded.

We went home and made our food assignments.  Mexi Dip, Salad and drinks.  Not too hard.  I do have a reputation for bringing anything too complicated like yams or green bean casserole or mashed potatoes.  Drinks and ice are what I do best.  We had our Thanksgiving at Mark's house.  Paula did a fabulous job with the party.

After dinner, we played our usual Thanksgiving Bingo complete with prizes.  They were pretty good gifts this year!

This is Brooke in her David T shirt....

Abi choosing the Bingo prize.  Also notice the David Archuletta shirt she is wearing from the concert two days before.  Only the best attire for Thanksgiving

Mark was the Bingo caller...he is turning into his dad.  It is hilarious to see...Here are the prizes for bingo.  This pic should have been first

Its always fun to spend holidays with the family.  We had less than 20 people and that is my entire family.  But even though we are small in number they are the absolute best!  So thankful for them. I am also thankful that we didn't have a trek reenactment for Thanksgiving.  Good food, Good company, Good health.

51.............

I have survived another year!  I turned 51 on the day before Thanksgiving.  It was a really great day to have a birthday because we happen to get that day off from school.  It is usually our family picture day however, with Andrew in college we didn't know if he would be home.  It was also a beautiful fall day.  We decided to go and play golf instead.  Abi, Nick and Maureen played.  Who plays golf the day before Thanksgiving?  It was a tad bit hot even.  I tried to take Nick to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch after, but he settled on Taco Bell and go home.

Then, later that night, we celebrated the big day.  Brooke got these drumsticks and had a candle so they could sing to me.  LOVE drumsticks!

Brooke also made this beautiful thoughtful sign...funny thing is it is from LAST year and Brooke made the 50 into a 51.  Way to economize.  Just my style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And the Congrats Grad above the window was from Andrew's graduation and we just changed it to say Happy Birthday!  Nothing but quality for us!!!

Abi came home from work and had Swig cookies for me.   Andrew also gave me some Oreos.  hmmm kindof a theme here.

Brooke gave me this large version of the hymn book since I am the Primary pianist and need the larger version so I can see the notes!  And these bath bombs - which are the bomb.  Can't wait to try them out while reading a good book!!!

So thoughtful of all these kiddos of mine!  ALMOST makes turning 51 worth it.  (how does someone get to be 51?)  It happened so fast.  Get up every day and next thing you know, its been 51 years!

David Archuletta

Brooke has loved David Archuletta for some time.   He came in concert again at Abravanel hall.  So she got tickets...again.  It was actually at Abravanel hall 6 years ago when she was at that concert that he announced he was serving a mission.  fun fact.  Anyway, Abi, Maureen, and Brooke went to David.  He really does a fabulous concert.  We were on row 6.   They were excellent seats.  It was wheelchair seating in front of us so we had extra leg room...or extra room for dancing...He sang for over 2 hours.  Sang all the favorites and some from his new album.  I'm sure Brooke has that one too.

I don't have many pics because Brooke and Abi were taking them all.  At the end of the concert, after the planned encore, he shakes people's hands.   This time Brooke and Abi got to shake his hand.  (the only reason is because there were a bunch of old ladies in front of us and they were much faster than they were to get to the stage) They were totally excited!  I'm surprised they have washed their hand since them...well, I really don't know if they have or not.

These are my only pics...I was too slow on the camera to get a picture of him shaking their hand...

Super fun night I got to spend with my girls!!!

The WairHouse and Golf Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving this year was soo warm.  We decided to take in some golf.  It was fun to golf when it wasn't super hot.  I'm sure I was the best golfer though.  We tried to get on in Rose Park but they were full so we went to our stand by in Taylorsville, Fore Lakes.

That is Nick in the front, and Abi is over to the right in the back.  Not sure why Jack didn't come, he probably didn't like to play golf that day either.

We had a great time and played two times this week we were out for Thanksgiving.  Fun to be outside and losing balls....hahaha

On Friday of the Week, we decided to mix it up and go to the Trampoline park.  The Wair House.  Jack was all in for this part of the weekend.

Jack and Nick took most of these pictures, thats why there are a million.

That is Jack crawling through that thing

They were crawling through that thing on the top..I think that is Nick

Lots and Lots of videos that Nick and Jack took.  Might as well upload for their viewing pleasure some time soon....probably after I die ...

UEA 2017

UEA started out this year with an EEG for Brooke.  She is seeing a new doc because she graduated from the Pediatric Neurologist now that she is 21...So she suggested that Brooke have an EEG to see if she still has seizure tendencies.  So here is Brooke having an EEG after staying up all night so she is drowsy.  I stayed up only part of the night because I had to drive her to the appt.

Then we went to the UEA convention.  It is getting kindof lame, but it still had the shoot the basket for a free book.  Even if you don't make the basket you can still get a free book.  Here is our tries for a free book.

Football Banquet for Nick

Football season is over for 2017.  It was a super fun season with lots of time and energy dedicated to football.  Nick had a great season.  He was the defensive Captain for the team and worked super hard.  We had the football banquet at the church and someone made pulled pork and they showed a highlight video and then had awards.  It was super fun.  So sad football is over. It was a great season.
