Alaska gotta be part of the Bible belt - Jack's email from Alaska

Hello everyone!! It has been another blessed week here in Alaska. We had so many cool miracles happen and have been grinding over here. My comp Elder Mcguire is a very smart guy but sometimes he let's that get to him when talking to others. We found ourselves having lots of success this week and also getting into more "arguments" than discussions with people. But based on the title let's talk about just some of the people I've met this week.

 We met a guy named Joe, joe is a very interesting guy. Said that calling Jesus by his name is satanic and we have to call him by the original Hebrew name of yeshua. He says that he receives twice the blessings doing that. I told him he must live a good life if he receives double the blessings I do. It was actually nuts but like whatever he was wack.

We met a guy names Taylor who also somehow only calls Jesus by yeshua and doesn't consider himself Christian and finds religion as a joke. But yeah it was a wack convo. He asked us what the new testament was written in and I told him Greek and he doesn't agree but it was also another interesting conversation. 

 We met another guy just on the side of the road. We talked about premarital existence and he doesn't agree. So I brought up a verse and it was Jeremiah 1:5 and he said that talked about Jesus. He said Jesus wasn't a prophet so I said, if it was about jesus then how is he not a prophet? He was quiet afterwards and I tried to just tell him to read the book of mormon then he said he was busy so we just gave him a church invite.

 Anyways this is the highlight section. 

-we found 3 more people to teach!

-we had a friend named Sydney who we almost put on date a couple of weeks ago, we weren't able to get in contact with him for awhile. We stopped by Saturday morning and talked with him and ended up putting him on date for baptism!

- we had a church tour with our new friend Annie!

 Low lights:

- none of our friends showed up to church.

-we had a controversial topic in EQ and someone crashed out and walked out mid lesson because of it.

 -it's still pretty cold here and the weather hasn't been fun. 

 Always, we are still grinding i am loving the mission and it's been blessed.

Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
