Nick goes to Vegas and Jack to dentist

Our Cousin Stella turned 8 and got baptized.  Stella lives in Las Vegas.  So Grandma and grandpa wanted to go.  Michelle was their driver and Nick got to go for a trip with them.  He wanted to see Stella get baptized.  They stopped in Beaver and took a picture of them in this chair.  this is Michelle in the Chair.

Jack didn't want to go to las Vegas because he would rather go to the dentist and get two root canals and two crowns.  Jack is also in the chair from a previous trip.

Summer golf

We started the summer and spring playing lots of golf.  Andrew, Abi and Brooke all got golf clubs for Christmas so we have been using them.  Abi and Andrew joined the Bountiful Ridge jr golf league and they have played golf on mondays.  Golf kind of stopped when Andrew started doing lawn care with Kerry and Abi had Goal keeper training on monday am but they got about 5 times in.
Once August comes, and Football has started, we don't play much.  Nick and Abi both took lessons this summer.  Jack has also been golfing a few times with us on the Par 3.  He gets a bit mad and took a golf club after nick so he has had to stay home.

Dentist Darin

Summer Brings lots of things and one is a trip to the Dentist.  We all had check up with one of our favorite Dentists (grandpa and Mark are also our favorite dentists) Darin Hartvigsen.  He is Mark's friend so we see him regularly.  We Love Dr. Darin.  Nick had a few cavities and Jack needed two root canals and two crowns due to his fabulous oral hygeine.  Andrew was also clear for no cavities but we didn't get a pic of him.

Orem Owls baseball

For the 4th of July, we went to the Orem Owls baseball game.  It is a minor league team that feeds into the Los Angeles dodgers (I think)  Anyway, it was super fun and we had fireworks after the game.  It was also world record night and they were setting a world record with the most sunglasses on at once.  So we got some cool Owl glasses to wear so we could break the world record.

Jack didn't want to come because it was boring.  We set a world record for the largest crowd in that stadium.  No wonder we were in line for treats and didn't even get any because the line was too long!

Andrew turns 15

Andrew has amazed me and lived to be 15! He is in 9th grade at Mueller Park Junior High School.  He does well in school, is working on his Eagle, is a good golfer and loves to do yard work.
Actually, he has been working this summer with Marti's Brother Kerry who has a lawn care business.  He has been working all July with him and some of August.  They mow, weed, edge, or dig.  Sometimes they have just done yard clean up.  He works soo hard in all that heat.  Way to go Andrew!  Andrew is a such a nice addition to our family. He is kind.  He is willing to help me with anything I need.  He can haul heavy stuff.  He walks down from school every wednesday and takes Grandma and Grandpa's garbage out to the curb.  He shovels their snow and mows their lawn.  He also carries their salt down the basement for the water heater.

He can hardly wait to get his learners permit.  He is such a good boy!  Happy Birthday!

Mamm-o-gram

It wouldn't be summer without the good old mammogram.  Since I turned 40 I have faithfully gotten my mamm-o-squish annually.  What a fabulous activity for summer vacation.  Michelle (sister) said if I didn't get me an appt when I was forty she was going to call for me.  She was battling breast cancer at that time (which is Kindof ironic because she can't even say the word breast....).  So I scheduled and had my screening.  On a side note, I didn't know who to send my results to because Dr. Beck died.  But got the results back and these girls are normal!!  Free for another year!
Here's proof!!!

Trader Joes

We have been going to Trader Joes every Sat for about 6months.  It is the coolest store.  I'm not  sure what determines what they sell but they sell food.  It is suppose to be healthy but we end up with lots of Carbs. We also buy Greek yogurt, lettuce, whole wheat bread, steel cut oatmeal, joe joes (cookies) , peanut butter, cukes and cheese.  It is Kindof like Whole Foods but cooler.  We wouldn't go to whole foods but love the Traders.  We like to try something new each week.  Last week was frozen grilled zucchini and eggplant.  We decided we wouldn't try that again.  This week we tried enchilada sauce.   We have also tried almond butter (soo yummy), salsa, cilantro salad dressing, cheddar jack cheese  and they are all keepers!  And Inner Peas we have tried recently. Not sure if they are good or not, but they were sold out last week so had to get two bags this week!  If everyone  else wants them, soo do we!  They are baked pea pods.  They Kindof taste like styrafoam with a bit of pod taste.  And they sort of dissolve.  If anything they are super different and all the skinny people were buying them!!!
