Tuacahan 2024

 Spent 3 days in St. George with Marlena and Michelle.  On the wya down we checked in on Jack.  

Went to Cafe Rio.  He is doing so great.  Living his Best Life.  

We stopped at Fillmore to golf so we had to wear our golf shirts from our League:) . We still had them on when we went to the pool.  We decided to just sit and enjoy the nice air and not put our swimsuits on.  

Got this hair stuff I saw on the Today show.  

We saw Frozen and Jersey Boys.

We had really great seats.  Michelle decided to step up our Season Tickets and get us closer.  The closer seats have CUSHION.  What?  We should have been doing that years ago.  

We stopped at Pinkbox donuts.  They were great.  I have never been there and the donuts are not as expensive at Banburry.  

That's all the pictures I took.  We had a great trip.  Jersey Boys didn't disappoint.  I think it is a newer show, so it was fun to have not seen it before.  We are seeing Jersey Boys at Pioneer Theater and Hale.  Can't wait to see how they compare.  

I had to hurry home on Wednesday because I had Parent Teacher Conference.  Nothing like ending a trip with that.  I had only 7 parents so it wasn't all bad.

Love St. George. Love it in the Fall more than the summer.  

A Nice Fall Walk

I got home from work and didn't have anything scheduled.  I have been feeling so great after my taping of my foot that we decided to go on a walk.  Well, we made Pasta Salad first.  So it was getting late.  Abi, Brody and I decided to go walk around the Bountiful Temple.  It is a nice circle.  We asked Nick to go and he said "Why would I want to walk around when I can go in".  

This is the only pic we took and it was Brody that did it.  It was fabulous to walk around and feel the Autumn air.  We walked around twice which was 1.1 mile.  Really not that far, but it was great feeling the fresh air and oxygen in my lungs.  AND especially great company.  

After of course we had to get dinner at the Cafe Rio.  We had a 10.00 reward and it was the special on Tostadas for 7.99 and a free drink.  Great evening.  Cafe Rio (and a special with a free drink) and exercise and great people to make you happy.

Checking in on Jack

Jack headed to Southern Utah University for School.  Brooke and I took him down to show him the ropes before our trip to Boston.  We got his parking pass, checked in his apartment and moved him in.

Then he moved himself down on Sunday after Boston.  Marlena and Michelle and I went down to St. George to Tuacahn so we checked in on Jack and took him to Cafe Rio.

When Abi and Brody were moving back to Utah, they stopped and checked in on Jack too.  They took him to Ritas for lunch.  

Jack seems to be doing great.  He is going to school and said he is all caught up.  He is playing LaCrosse and rocking it.  

Less Wisdom for Nick

 Nick's wisdom teeth have been bothering him towards the end of his mission.  He didn't need them out before his mission but once he found out his companion had his teeth out, Nick's started to hurt.  :) 

Brooke took him to the dentist for his check after the mission.  I had to work.  Good thing Brooke is willing to take him.

AND yeppers Nick needed his wisdom teeth out.  Made an appt with the Surgeon,

Brooke Took Nick to get his teeth out.  I had to work.  I have had so much time off since school started I decided to send Brooke.  She is a better mom and dad than I am.  She picked him up on time, got him there, paid the bill and had him in the chair.  Mark was there in case something came up too.

I woke Nick up early so he could take his seizure medicine.  I wanted it in his system so if he threw up, it would already be digested.  

On the way out of the dentist, Brooke said Nick was singing "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission" when they were helping him into the car.  Then he said he didn't like the lady.  hmmmmm

They spent the day at grandma's house.  Nick sleeping and Brooke mowed the lawn.  She didn't get a compiment from Danny about her lawn mowing shirt this week because he mows early and she had to mow later. 

They did go to Starbucks and get a pink drink and Nick got his free because the guy felt bad for him.  

Nick is doing well so far.  He has had Ramen and lots of Maverik drinks.  

Abi and Brody back to Utah

Abi and Brody are on their way back to Utah after living in Boston for two years while Abi attended  Physicial Assistance school.

Abi passed her BOARDS!  She is a full licenced Physicial Assistant!  She rocks.  

They are spending a few days in St. George with Brody's family and then coming to see me!  

Not sure what their next move is, but for now, can't wait to see them.

Labor Day

Nick and Jack both were at church with me today since it was Labor Day Weekend.  Conveniently I'm leading the singing so I get a great seat to them blessing the sacrament.  

Monday, labor day, McCall had her water slide again. We ventured over and water slided and brought hot dogs for the BBQ. 

There were a million dogs and people.  

Jack had to get back to SUU for his LAX meeting so he didn't get to spend the water slide party with us. 

Nick  wins the award for the most times down the HUGE water slide.  He had the most fun.  I ventured two times and that was enough.  It was fun but started to get cold and it was a workout to get to the top. 

Everyone participated in sliding but Mark, my brother, and Marlena, the grandma.

Nick is 21

Nick is 21 today so this popped up in my memories. Look how cute he is. He is even wearing his Maverick Grillin N Chilling shirt.  I wish we had kept those.  We had about 10 of them.   

He must be 13 because we are holding 13 fingers up for his picture. 

This came up on the memories today and I thought I would post when I had less wrinkles and a bit thinner.

We celebrated on Sept 3by playing some Birthday Golf at the Sun Hills.  Nick is sporting his new Golf Polo he got post mission.

We rocked it.  He opted to NOT walk.  Me too. It was cloudy and a bit of rain before, then it was beautiful night for golf.  NOT too hot.  

Andrew joined us for some Birthday Golf but he went with the other group.  

Tuesday we decided to celebrate Nick's bday.  We got some Cafe Rio and Ice Cream for 

rootbeer floats.

Brooke and I got him some golf balls, Monster drinks, and some shirts from Scheels.

  

Ty and Lili Came over for the celebration. 

Nick was sick.  We ate dinner, Nick went to bed.  We didn't have Root Beer Floats or even open presents.  And I didn't get any pictures.

Happy 21 Nick. :)
