Proms 2016

Abi and Andrew both went to Prom.  Bountiful High and Woods Cross High had the Prom on the same night. We looked all over for a dress for Abi, then her cousin Grace happen to have a dress she wore to a prom.  And it just fit.  It was Beautiful.  She went with Adam Cresswell.  Funny story, that 10 years ago he lived in our very house.  His dad was the Bishop.

He asked her with this tray of chocolate strawberries.  Abi couldn't figure out who Alec Waldes was.  She didn't know him....oh she had to unscramble the letters!  Adam actually dipped the strawberries himself.  Soo Cute.

It was fun to have him come and get her instead of Andrew who leaves at 3:30 to get ready at his friends house.

Andrew went with a girl named Kenna.  

I can't remember how he asked her, but she answered him with this on the porch.  It was really cute.  My favorite part are the tall Jesus Candles near the poster.  You can't tell they are Jesus Candles in the pic.  But they are so Great!!!  THE best part!

Playing Varsity Golf in Brigham City

Abi played in her first golf tournament today in Brigham City.  She was playing 6th Varsity.  Not too bad since she is only a Freshman and she has never played in a tournament before. We also had to bring the before tournament lunch to the course.  We had the stand by Costco pizza.  It was fabulous.  I found out that parents could tag along, so about 9 holes into the tournament, I got a cart and watched them.  It was super fun.  Abi did great.  The coach even walked the last two holes with her.

Abi tried out for the golf team and made it.!  We also had to petition the State High School Athletic association for her to have eligibility to play sports at another school.  (she transferred schools in January to Woods Cross from Bountiful High)   She was approved!  Yahoo.  So glad.  Here is the line up for the golf team!

My body is Failing Me

A year ago, I got some bad news that my knee is shot.  It has to do with no cartlige (don't know how to spell that) and how my legs hang and rub on the cartilage...(genetics - my mother has it too)  anyway, I had surgery and have been feeling good, until this past 6 months.  They have been getting worse.  They hurt all the time.  It is hard to work...I am on my feet most of the day.  I got an injection on Friday (three days ago) that is a series of 3 shots that might help.  They work for 50% of the people....they didn't work for my mother so I am assuming they won't work for me, but they are worth a try.  The Dr worked very hard to get my insurance to pay for them.  Two more injections to go...he said I might not see results until a few weeks after the last injection.  So here's hoping.

Update:  June 14, 2016

So far, the shots have been fabulous!!  I have felt soo much better in my knee.  The rest of my body hurts but the knee is much better!  I hope I can have them for a LONG time to put off the replacement as long as I can!

Easter 2016

We had our annual Easter Egg hunt.  So fun.  Grandpa and Grandma did a great job of hiding the eggs and filling them with lots of money and candy.  We had a yummy dinner too.

Easter bunny brought easter baskets and clothes for everyone.  Andrew's is missing because he was in St George with the LAX team.  He got his Easter clothes before the trip.

Happy 20th Birthday Jimbob!!

Brooke turned 20 on April 2.  It is wierd to think she is 20.  Seems like yestereday...blah blah.  Really it does.  She was born about 3 lbs 11 inches and wasn't suppose to live through the night.  Somehow she did and she is has survived for 20 years!  She has such personality.  She loves HUD more than anyone I know.  HUD is junk.  Like ducks and David Archuletta and disney everything.  And whales.  She also loves Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  So it was showing at the Hale Center theater on April 2.  Her Birthdaya.  So, McCall, McKenna, Micaela, Michelle, Brittney, Maureen, Abi, all went to see Joseph.  It was super fab and a great way to spend her birthday.
