UEA 2016

UEA break started off uneventful.  Got Andrew off on a backpacking trip with his boyfriends Boon and Easton.  We had to borrow a backpack from Marti and a sleeping bag.  Somehow we have lost our sleeping bag.  It was a good one too.  Someone just left it because they couldn't be bothered to remember to bring it home from their trip.

Then Jack, Abi and Maureen went to UEA convention.  Uneventful.  I only took about 4 pictures.  Our favorite part was the Shoot a basket to get a free book.  The Jazz bear came and that was fun...silly string everywhere..The only picture I took is of the guy in charge to send it to Michelle, since it is her friend and Bishop.  Here he is.

.Abi also got offered a job to come to work at Scout camp as a lifeguard in the Summer by the Boy Scout people.

The convention really doesn't have anything of value for me.  I am not interested in their teacher classes...I'm sure they are good but I have never gone since I have not had childcare for these days in the past.  And so I have just walked around at the booths.  There was a few good places, but no jewelry or clothes or crafts...But it is fun to see what they have and shoot a basket for a book.

We did stop at the Utah State booth to take a pic of the Aggie for Brooke.  They gave us some water bottles...

Then Michelle and I went to our favorite store, Van Heusen.  It is friends and family so there is an extra 25% off...Now thats right up our alley.  Michelle talked me into these pants that are stretchy and pull on...talk about grandma pants.  However, she talked me into FOUR pair!  FOUR pair of GMA pants....!  They are pull on and stretch.  Can't wait to wear them!  We had fun.  Always a fun time.  Michelle spent over 45 minutes returning her other stuff at Vanheusen.  She has a sickness for sure...

The next day we went to Snowbird to ride the tram.  We had to bring 3 cans of food for the foodbank and we got one free tram ride.  We wanted to hike down, but they recomended against hiking down.  Ok...so we just looked around and rode down.  We made it to Chik Fil A after.

Brigham City Football

Andrew's last game was in Brigham City.  His last game forever as a Brave.  Brooke met me there since she is in Utah State.  We had a great time.   So fun.  She even got a picture with Andrew...

He wouldn't get off the bus for a picture.

Anniversary

I have been married for 23 years.  Really, can't imagine that long.  So this year Chili Willi gave me some money, flowers, facial cream, jewelery and a gift card to Red Lobster.  Super nice.

Braves Senior Night 2016

Tonight was the last home game of Andrew's High School Football career.  The Seniors were honored after and got to run through the tunnel of cheerleaders and fans and their names and numbers were announced for the last time.  It has been fun!!

Conference Talks

My favorite quote so far in Conference was by Elder Ballard...(he is not one of my favorite speakers necessarily), but he said

“”If you live as long as I have, you will come to know that things have a way of resolving themselves.

Great advice!

Homecoming 2016

Abi and Andrew both went to Homecoming.  Andrew at Bountiful High School and Abi at Woods Cross High School.

Abi got her dress at the first store we looked in.  She looked around and also got a pair of shoes.  She decided to not wear the pair we got at Payless for $7.00.  But decided for $7.00 we should keep them anyway.  She went with Zac Schultz and looked Beautiful.

He brought her flowers too!  They were beautiful.  I thought it was such a nice touch.  Andrew wanted to give them to date.  Since his dance was a week later...Abi said no, but good thinking Andrew.

More pictures of the girls...Their dates come to their house.  Andrew takes his clothes and goes to his friends house to get ready...................

Andrew decided he needed a new suit.  We got his Suit at Macys'.  Problem is the pants were too long.  The other size was too short.  We could get them hemmed.  The hemming place closes at 6:00 and he has football every night.  And I was gone on the Saturday of the dance.  So Andrew and Chili Willie had to use Hem tape to tape up the hem.  He looked so very handsome.  Boon's mother  even said that he looked soo good that she needed to get Boon a suit like that!  Now that is a compliment.

So fun to see them dressed up and hopefully on their best behavior!

Fall Golf

FINALLY we got to play some golf.  Not go golfing, because you don't go tennising or footballing, but play golf.  Nick and Jack and Maureen decided to go after school.  We planned ahead, put our clubs in the car, and I picked up Nick from gma's house.  And we were off to Fore Lakes.  Our new favorite place.  It is getting dark earlier so we had to get there.  We had a great time, until Jack gets mad.  He gets mad and then starts throwing clubs and kicking your ball when it is on the green.  Jack ended his game early.  Two holes early.  He also doesn't get to use my clubs again.

He also didn't get the trip to Maverik that Nick and I got.  Oh, and Mcdonalds that Nick got.

So fun to be outside on a beautiful fall afternoon with my boys!  Well, two of them.  Nick and I are going to try to go next week again, maybe getting out of school early!!  Fore!!

I don't like pictures of myself, but decided that i should have a few for obituaries and to show that we all did fun things...
