Birthday Love

I turned 53 on November 22.  I did get some of the following text messages.  They are not a very good picture of each one, because I just took a screen shot quickly.  This is not every one I got but some of them.  But it is fun to be loved and remembered.

Ty brought this over to me from Brooke and Ty.  So thoughtful.  Love it.

My mother and I went to visit her brother Dale in the hospital then we went to Red Lobster after. She said it was my birthday dinner since I was busy on my birthday.  Love the Red Lobster and the lb of crab that we had!

Its fun to be remembered even if it means being a year older.  I never thought I would be 53!

Messages and More

This is a rambling of my thoughts and a few pictures that I have on my phone.

These are a common message I get lately...

We went to a musical fireside and these are Nick's church shoes...

this is Blake, McKenna and Jack.  Blake has been driving a dump truck and decided he didn't like it so he is going back to his job at ARUP.  This was one of his last days.

Jack was with McKenna and he does know how to clean a windshield...

This is Jack at McKenna's house...

Abi went to hang with Michelle when she was in St George.   Abi and McCall were so much fun on their trip. . . :)

I had to go to school for an SEOP meeting with Jack. Its some meeting with the counselors that they plan their schedule .  Jack wouldn't pose for me any more than this...

A Nursing Student

So, A while ago, Abi got into Nursing school at Dixie State.  She has worked so hard with school getting a 4.0, volunteering at various places, getting her CNA, working for Senior Helpers, that it all paid off and she got in for January 2020,  Way to go Abi.  You go and be you!  Be Awesome and be the best you can be.  I can't wait to see where this girl goes in life.

Halloween

My favorite Holiday is Halloween. Absolutely love it.  Someone can do whatever you want for the holiday. If you are festive, then answer the door and give out candy.  If you are not festive, then turn your light of and stay in the basement.  Dress up if you want or don't. It is especially more fun for me since I don't have to get my kids costumes together.  But that was super fun too.

Now I just send my college kids packages full of HUD.  Just to say I am thinking of them and I love them.  It is mostly reeses peanut butter cups.  Thats our favorite. I try to mix it up with Kit Kats because they were Melanie's favorite.  Oh, and everyone always needs some Halloween HUD.
And I put some money in it.  Not much, but something to go to lunch or get a frozen Yogurt.

We had Papa Murphys pizza for dinner at our house, and gave out candy.  jack went out with his friends and Nick slept the entire night.  It was a win for everyone.  I even had tons of candy left over because it was so cold that we didn't get the usual amount of trick or treaters.

Nick Gets asked to Christmas Dance

After our leaf hunt, we arrived home and this is what we found on our Porch.

Nick got asked to the Christmas Dance by Brynn.  He seems to be a hot item.

Leaf Hunt 2019

Our Annual Leaf Hunt was a hit.  Problem was we waited too long to schedule it and it was snowing on our scheduled Sunday.  We decided we better hold it and have it at Gma's house.  We had our BBQ or hot dogs and hunted leaves in the back yard.

This is Jack and his prize of a box of Candy.

                                                               This is the prize table.

All in all it was a great Leaf Hunt.  It is more fun to go to the Canyon.  Everyone that is available comes to the leaf hunt.

Yoga and Crocodiles

I have been going to this yoga class at the High school with a few of my teaching friends.  I haven't been to every class due to my schedule and my boys schedules at home.  But when I go, I love it and feel like I am about to die.

Here is Brooke in action at some field trip for Zoo School.  I think that crocodile is real...Brooke is real too.  Glad Brooke is being her and living her dream!

Room Update

I decided since I have owned three houses I needed to paint my room. I have never painted my room in any of them.  After consulting with Paula, my sister in law, I painted that white.  Polar White to be exact.

This is the old color. It is a green color that I actually LOVE.  But it is time to paint it and not have an accent wall.

.

Painting over the green wall

This is the New look for the green wall. I'm still debating about the picture arrangement but I did paint the Ikea shelf grey instead of the Black. I could buy new ones for 15.00 or I could buy primer and paint for the same price.  But they didn't have grey just black or white.

I might switch to these pictures instead also from Paula, but Brooke says it looks like a grandma.I would take down the family pictures that are on the side.

I decided that I needed to paint my dresser. I have had the same dresser since I got married.  It is an old hand me down from my mother.  I painted it black once upon a time, and decided it needed a face lift.  Paula said paint it the same color as the walls.  White is the new color to paint.

And the new dresser painted. Don't mind all the stuff on it or on the floor...I haven't been home to clean it up.  But if I didn't take it now and post it I would never do it. Not sold on the handles however.  But I love the white!

Here's the updated dresser.  I didn't like the knobs in the above picture.  I paid like 20.00 for all those pull knobs.  So I decided I liked thelong handles for the lower drawers.  I had to drill new holes for them because I couldn't find handles to fit otherwise.  I think the dresser is too old and the sizes are different.  Anyway, I had to redrill the holes and fill with wood putty and then sand and paint again.  I should have just done that from the start.  I really like the new look much better.  It was worth the extra work
