Corrections

 

Ty has been going to school to be a Corrections Officer.  He graduated!  He is a real live Corrections Officer and working at the State Prison (I think) in Bluffdale.  

 We had to celebrate him with the graduation pictures on the wall and it isn't really easy to find Graduation HUD in December but I did manage to find some at Dollar Tree.  Who would have thought..

Great Job!  We are so proud of you!!

Christmas Eve and such

The day before Christmas Eve I decided I needed to get wrapping and Christmas figured out.  I got some strength from my Taco salad from Del Taco and a Maverick drink.  

We shopped at Lee's for groceries for Christmas and other stuff...

Christmas eve we decided to make some gingerbread houses.  It was a pretty good hit and we only had one kit left that we didn't make.  Jack and Nick even stayed sort of interested for a bit.  

Brooke and I sent Abi some of these jammies in her Thanksgiving box.  What fun is Christmas Jammies if you don't get to wear them all of December. So We sent some to Abi (since she missed Thanksgiving with us) and Brooke got some too because she loved them with Zoo Animals and Santa hats. . .

We took a Christmas Eve drive to look at Lights and ended up at maverick before our trip.  Of course we needed a drink...

 

December 23

 We started Christmas Break at the Planet.  Nick decided to join us a few times.  Abi is helping Nick on the free weights.  

Brooke, after the 30 minutes on the stair stepper, decided to join them and show them how to do it.  

Then that night we went to David Archuletta at the Maverick Center.  We LOVE some David.  It was different at a concert during Covid.  We had NO one near us except two rows in front of us.  It was sad actually to think about all the seats that were empty.  David didn't disappoint.  He rocked it.  

Here's my hair that Abi did this day. I have on a new Flamingo Christmas Sweater that I was super excited to wear. Flamingo is always appropriate.  

This is the blanket Brooke made for Ty with the hippos on it.  Maybe it was for Brody I can't remember.  But I think it was for Ty since Abi would have given Brody's to him in St. George before she came home.

We made these potatoes for Andrew's Christmas giving party with his friends...They were absolutely delicious.  We had to go to Marlena's house to finish baking the potatoes because my oven didn't work so well, but we pulled it off.  

Same hair at church with a mask...Getting ready to lead the singing...It is one of my favorite callings...:)

My screen saver...of course I didn't put that on there because I'm not smart enough.  But she's super cute.

You have a problem.

This is Nick's room.  I walked in to remind him to take his medicine with Brooke as we were going to the gym.  Brooke says to him "Nick you have a problem....you have got to switch to Plastic".  Styrafoam is not good for the environment...

That was my first thought when I saw all these maverick cups.  

Got these corgie masks at the Old Navy for Brooke for Christmas.  . .

Christmas Party 2020

 

We usually have had a Christmas party at Gma's house. We decided on Dec 14 because Mark's family was going to Disney World for Christmas.  Well, Covid numbers are so out of control that Marks family decided that they didn't want to come because they couldn't get sick before their trip.  Mark can't get sick because of work either.  So we had the Lewis Christmas party without them.  We missed them so much.  It was weird to just have Michelle's family and mine.  Not sure why we didn't mind the Covid risk...

We played Bingo and had lots of prizes.  We don't play Bingo at the Christmas party usually, but since we didn't have Thanksgiving Bingo Gma had the prizes all ready so we played Thanksgiving Bingo at our Christmas party.

Salsa chicken was also on the menu...

We ate Mexican food and played bingo, and got presents from Gma.  It was small but super fun. 

Abi, New Freezer and Christmas clutter

I'm a bit behind in posting, but here is a super cute pic of Abi.  It makes me smile.

For the first time in my adult life, I now own a freezer.  Can't believe I haven't had one with all these kids I had at home.  But here it is.  Brooke was checking it out with the glass of water.  We wanted to make sure it works.  Sure does.  We really haven't stocked up and taken advantage of it yet.
