BHS vs Northridge

 

Won is pressing his luck being on grandma's couch like that.  What if he touches the drapes?  He will be on the naughty list for sure.  

Another night at the LAX against Northridge. 

Jack played a great game.  He did get in the penalty box for one minute for slashing. 

Brooke and Grandma and I were there to cheer him on.

Finally the weather cooperated.

Happy Happy Birthday Abi, Dear

 

Abi is 23!  She is in Boston Massachusetts and has fnished two semesters of Physician Assistance school!  I don't get to hug her lately or take pictures with her, so these are Brody's pictures he posted of Abi.  These were his favorite from the past year.  

This is their favorite because she's at Maverick.  Their favorite place and me too.

Abi rocks. She's smart, funny, kind, spicy, loving and just a great gal.  She's hard working and faithful.  Can't wait to visit in August and give you a birthday hug then.  Go and be awesome!  Like you already are.

Week 37! Baptisms and barbecues

 

What's good everyone hope yall had a great week. We had a Supa fire week! We had exchanges with the zone leaders and then ended the week with some baptisms and barbecues. 

Monday: p day vibezzz. Played some ball and I popped off. Drained a few threes then went and snagged some food at Costco and then went and played some tennis. 

 Tuesday: we had a lesson with our boy Miguel and then we went and had a basketball activity with our youth which was so chill 

 Wednesday: we had exchanges with our zone leaders and I got to go with elder Barker. He is one of my fav missionaries. We talked to so many ppl!! Then ended the night with some Culver's milkshakes

 Thursday: our senior couple took us and our investigator shopping so that we could get him some church clothes for his baptism. We took him to goodwill and bought him some stuff. After the rest of the night we just knocked some doors. 

 Friday: so our mission just got like 25 new cars so they needed some people to drive them from the dealership to the mission office so we helped with that so I got to drive by myself for a little bit which was actually pretty nice 

 Saturday: BAPTISM!!! our boy mark was able to get baptized. I baptized him and it was my first time baptizing someone ever so it felt kinda awkward but it was chill. He was super excited to get baptized!! 

 Sunday: we were able to confirm mark in church. We were also able to get Andrew to church. Andrew had food poisoning but was able to come to church he's all set for his baptism next week!!  After church our branch had a barbecues which was a lot of fun. We brought our friend Daniel to the barbaque and he seemed like he loved it. He's almost ready for Baptism as well! 

That was my week. Mostly this week was us trying to get everything ready for the baptism. The baptism went super good and now we're preparing for Andrew's baptism on Saturday!! After that one we also have two or three people who are also progressing really well too!! 

 Hope all of your guys week was fun. Nebraska weather this week was everywhere but we persevered. Remember to listen to the Prophet!! Love yall!! 

WX Lax and more

 

Jack had a game against WXHS.  This is the only picutre of the game.  :)  It was super cold and I didn't take any pictures.  I did know lots of kids on the WXHS team since my school feeds into them.  

So that was super fun to talk to a few of them and I teach 3 of them right now.  We beat them 8-4.

Had a good laugh last week in Primary.  I sit at the Piano.  The gray haired lady is the one a few years ago when our wards were put together, Put Jack in the corner in Primary and I was sitting right there.  It was soo hilarious.  Brooke and I were both there and couldn't stop laughing.  He did shape up when he was moved.  She is a school teacher, so she wants to teacher everyone.  We all do.  :) 

AND I won this bread basket at school for being the loser in the March Madness bracket.  I do have some secret skills.

Abi and Brody go to New York

 

Abi has completed her first two semesters of PA School and is on break.  She and Brody went on a trip to NYC for the break.  

Abi said they had such a great time!  Looks so fun.

St. George for the Win

 Michelle asked me if I wanted to go to St. George for a few days.  YES!  I love to go

We did a little eating. This was the wind down hour at 5:00 that we ate..

We played a bit of golf at the WEE Course.  We played two round actually

It was beautiful as it was part of Sand Hollow Resort

We had some frozen yogurt treat.  

And plenty of Maverick drinks.  We needed a water too  

We cruised by my cousin's house in Leeds.  Kindof a weird set up.  

It was a bit odd but maybe because it was just in the desert so much.  

Read this book that was hilarious

We had a great time just sunning at the pool and playing some golf and eating some food and then getting a Maverick drink.  Love me some St. George.  

LAX vs Bonneville

 I got back from St. George just in time to make it to the Bountiful High vs Bonneville LAX game.

Jack played Fabulous.  He is number 7 with the black leggings under his shorts.  

I didn't take very many pictures because it was super cold.  I did get the Grandma there and Brooke and Ty came.  I thought we couldn't get any colder than the earlier games but this was just as cold.  BHS won by just a few goals.  

Week 34! 8 months!! "Catholics are fake so I might as well become mormon"

 

What's up yall. Hope all of you had a great Easter. This week was more of a slower week for us but it was still lit because of Easter. This week we were only able to find one new person to teach but that's chill! 

Monday: we played so many games and then we ended the night with some service for this cool member. We only spent 30 minutes doing service and then he told us stories for the next 2 hours it was so much fun.  

Tuesday: we had a baller district council about prophets and then we walked around for a few hours and nobody said yes  

Wednesday: we had some good lessons with our boy mark and James. James is lit and told us he would take us fishing so I can't wait for that  

Thursday: we had lessons with a few inactives. Nothing too crazy 

Friday: we went on exchanges with elder Fuentes. It was a pretty fun exchange.we did a lot of street contacting which was so chill 

 Saturday: we helped move a member and then we went and talked to so many people. A lot of them said mean things but I just laugh when people make fun of Jesus 

 Sunday: EASTER!! Easter Sunday was interesting being in omaha. So there's a lot of catholics in omaha and it's like a thing in the catholic church to go on Easter Sunday. So we got some interesting comments when we asked people to hear about Jesus this day. But this one lady saw us get yelled at and she runs up to us and yelled "are yall mormons" and I said yeah and then she said "I'm catholic but I went to church today and they are so fake so I want to become a mormon". She was so cool and it just was super cool to see the reward from all of our efforts all week!! 

Guys I have been on a mission for 8 months now and I'm just blown away by how fast it's gone. It's been the best decision I have ever made. I've come so much closer to my savior and I'm so grateful for his Atonement.
