Bear lake 2020

We headed to Bear Lake.  I didn't think we would be able to go due to Covid but we did.  Here we are on day one.  Lots of Sun and Fun.

Jack

Ty came with us since he is a part of our family :)

Brooke tuckered out after too much Sun

We played hard today so everyone needed their time to rest :)

I'm getting another Son

I was sent this video on Thursday after the Nail appt on Wednesday.  Ty had a plan.  This was my instructions.  Abi came with me as the Dad.

So, Abi and I arrived at Hogle at the designated time.  Next to us Steve and Carla pulled up.  We waited until we were collected by Austin and instructed to pull into the zoo and park out of site by the Giraffe Barn.  We were directed to the hiding spot.

Ty was on his way to get Brooke in Bountiful.  We waited and waited for Ty to get back with Brooke.  We hid in the Animal Building so we could watch.  They walked slowly down the path.  We waited and waited.  Finally, he got down on one knee.  Austin was there taking pictures kindof hiding.  He took off his security shirt (since it is red) so he wouldn't be so obvious.  I will have to get some of those.  I don't have any yet.  Anyway, after Brooke Hugged him , we came out of hiding and hugged them.

It was so fun to watch them and be part of it.  I just wanted to be close like wait in the parking lot but Ty facilitated it so we could come in.  It was absolutely the best!

We walked around the Zoo for a bit and fed the giraffes.   The Giraffe Keeper, Allie was also there to help with the event so she had some lettuce to feed the giraffes.

Allie is also the chalk artist.

I can't believe Brooke is getting married.  Ty asked me back in May (before he even left to pick her up in Florida)  if it was ok to marry her.  I couldn't anything to anyone and I was bursting with excitement.  It was a difficult secret for me to keep.  :)

They are so good together and I'm excited to be gaining another son.  I can't wait to see where life takes them.

EEG

Nick has been having bad luck with his seizures.  He can't get them under control so much.  He needed to have a regular EEG at home, and then he is going to get an ambulatory EEG next which is like one for 3 days.  So here he is with the basic EEG.  He was a good sport.

When you have an EEG part of it you need to rest so they can see what happens when you are resting.  He didn't seem to rest much..:)

Wild Utah

We got back from Bear Lake and this was on our porch.  Brooke had it delivered.  What a great sign.  She had one delivered to Gma and Michelle too.

I was super sick when we got back and I stayed in bed for TWO days.  I felt horrible.  I woke up to Abi getting me this Maverick drink.  It always makes me feel better.

Food for thought.  Found this somewhere

Abi and I were at the Maverick and Abi took this picture for Brooke.  Brooke likes to rearrange the Hot dogs so they are more organized.  Maverick hasn't had the hot dogs out there cooking since Corona so Brooke has been so sad.  This is the first time we have seen them in about 4 months.

Jack likes to steal My diet coke.  He piled all these coke cans in the desk cupboard.

We are going to check this reservoir out sometime.  Looks pretty fun

And we found these shoes for everyone for our trip.  Jack and I went clear to Scheals to find them.  Nick and Jack got theirs in bear Lake.  Who would have thought these would be so popular.  I even have two pair and Kindof like them too.

Nail Appt

It was a Wednesday and Brooke was off work.  We decided we needed our nails done.  She went to Kevin.  Kevin is who did my nails during covid when I had my foot operated on and he is Grandma's nail technician.  He is really good.

Here she is choosing the color.  She decided to get Cheetah on just the 4th finger.  I can't believe I splurged and got the 5.00 cheetah print.

I also liked this shirt I saw in the Columbia store

Sunday Morning Road Trip

It was a Sunday Morning, and Nick went to Work.

Andrew and I picked him up and decided to go on a Sunday Walk.  We went up to the Rainbow Garden in Ogden and go on a hike in their parking lot.  I can't remember the trail name.

This is the view of the Golf Course Abi played on in High school in Ogden.  Such a beautiful view from our Hike.

It was pretty hot so we just hiked for about an hour or so.  But it was a great way to spend some time in God's Country:)
