Merry Christmas!! - Nicks email from Omaha

 

What's up guys! Hope yall are having a fantastic Christmas! 

 Highlights

 - had zone conference this week and president Bailey challenged us all to read the book of mormon before may and he gave us fancy book of mormons! 

 - some other Missionaries and I went to Texas road house after and it was soooo good 

 -found this guy named buck and he was so excited to get a book of mormon! 

 -recent convert got mad at us for dropping off cookies for her 🫠

 Sacrament meeting this week was super special! Had lots of musical numbers and the whole meeting was just filled with the spirit! It was so good! 

 Lately I've been thinking more and more about the atonment and how the Atonement itself is perfect but also how it makes the plan of salvation perfect. The saviors birth is only important because of what he did for every one of us at the end of his life. Christ came from the humblest of beginnings in Bethlehem to doing the greatest act of service anyone has ever done for God's children. The plan is just perfect. God loves is perfect and we eventually will become perfect through the Atonement of Jesus christ. 

Well hope all of yall have a great Christmas and remember the reason behind the season. Love yall

Sing A Long 2023

 Once again,, the Sing A Long at the Delta Center does not disappoint.  We had our full crowd this year.  

We were missing Abi and Brody who were in Boston, Nick who is in Omaha, and Jack who was tired or worried he might see someone he knew.  

Michelle was missing McKenna who was sick and Mitchell.  Who I don't know where he was.

Food not half price for the lose.  However I didn't get there that early for food because I had to help my friend Lynne and her locked keys in the car. ALWAYS have to help your Bestie is in a bind.

Can't wait for 2024.  :)

Grandma's Water Heater

 Grandma has a leak in her water heater.  She was nervous about it of course.  She walked down the stairs about 5 times one day to check on it.  

I know just the plumber.  Malachi Goff.  Love me some Malachi.  He has helped me with a water heater and a pipe issue and a broken off spout in the shower are.  

Called and he could come in about two days unless we were without hot water.  Nope.  She had hot water.

Andrew took these pictures for the plumber so he knew what they were working with.

They showed up a day early because they had extra time I guess.  

It was even under warranty so they took care of the warranty also.  Cost her about $850.  

She now has a water heater and a new furnace.  

Jack is an Artist

Jack has been taking Ceramics.  He made this in the class.  Looks like I got my 25.00 worth.  

He says he is making a Vase next.  Having trouble centering it on the pottery wheel.  Can't wait for that next

Sunday dinner

 So I made some dinner on Sunday.  Here's the best Tater Tot Casserole ever.  Serious it doesn't seem like I would be a Tater Tot Casserole kind.  But Yep. Jack and Nick are too.  Nick isn't here to enjoy it though...

And brussel Sprouts the best.  I am the only one to like those.  

And funfetti cookies.  These were in honor of Nick. He loves these.  Cake Mix cookies are the best and easiest cookies.

Jack goes to Winter formal

 Jack went to winters with Brinlee.  It is one of his last dances.  He loks so handsome.  

I was trying to be fast with the photos because Jack tells me to not be dumb when his date is there to get him.  I can just be myself.  . .  

These pictures are so handgsome of him.  He wasn't cooperating so much with me.  But finally decided he would.  Maybe we can use them for his mission photo.
