Death Valley

 Went to the Death Valley again!  Love it.  The first night we stayed in Tonopah, NV which is my favorite city. It is this dump of a city but it is in the boondocks of Nevada. But it is only about 90 minutes from Death Valley.  Stayed at the Dream Hotel.  The guy working there is the cleaner, laundry person and check in clerk.  He gave me the rate of 58.00.  Seriously it was worth about 58 but it was clean mostly.

Could have stayed at the Clown Motel.  Seriously it was like $120 There is also a cemetary outside the clown motel.  What a weird thing in Tonopah in the middle of no where.  

Headed to death valley for some golf. This was the scenery on the way over. 

Made it to the Furnace Creek Golf Course.  It is really beautiful.  It is green which is wierd in the middle of the hottest place on Earth.  It is a natural spring that waters the lawns and provides water for the hotels and stores.  

The Lawn was a bit not in good shape right here, but look at the cool trees. I think they were a kind of Cedar tree.

After golf went and checked out the sites. I had to sit in the back of the Van cuz I'm the most agile.

Had a great time, drove all the way home the last day.  10 hours.  Didn't even stop in Wendover for some gambling.

Valentines day is so fun.  Just celebrate with a card and candy or cookies.  Who doesn't love that.

18 months:) - Nick's email from Omaha

 Yo!!! What's up everyone! Hope yall had a great week and a good super bowl weekend! Next year I get to watch it again!!! This week was solid! We found and talked to this homie who used to be a witch and did exorcisms it was crazy!!! 

 We had zone conference on Wednesday and that's always great! Prez is so inspired! Texas road house after zone conference is always the best part tho!! Had me lots of rolls and a really good steak. Also realized at zone conference that I'm going home in 6 months and that's super crazy!!!! 

 Sunday we tried to do some work before the super bowl started so we went to this aparment building and the red truck pulls up to us in the parking lot and once he found out who we were started yelling at us and told us he was gonna call the cops so we still went to our lesson and had our lesson but then we walked out of the aparment and he's got the cops on the phone telling them that we are forcing religion on people and so the cops pull up and a really nice officer talks to us and we explain everything and he called the guy crazy which was super funny. It was just overall a very fun experience. 

 Yeah so I hit 18 months a couple days ago and it's crazy how fast but also how slow the time has gone haha. I got 6 months left to serve and I'm so very grateful for the opportunities I have had to share the gospel! I love being a missionary!!

Jack's IMLAX Winter league team was in the final play off game for the Championship.  

Not sure these videos are even good I just take them for him to look at.

It was fun to go to Winter league on SAturday afternoons at the University of Utah fieldhouse.  It was less than hour long and only took 20 minutes to get there.!!  

Gotta remember a chair though.  Ha, I'm always ready with a chair, swimsuit and golf clubs. We didn't need golf clubs or swimsuit this time.
