Joseph and Bagpipes

We LOVE Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  It was playing at the Sandy Ampitheater.  Michelle got tickets for us all, and we went.  It was terrific and the night was beautiful.  It did rain but that kindof added to the atmosphere and just a bit at the end.

Thats all the pics I got.  I tend to not take many pictures anymore because I am trying to be in the moment and sometimes we don't need to document every event...However, I want people to know that we did a few fun things in our lifetime.  While everyone is off boating, or cruising, or touring some exotic place on a beach somewhere, we are at the Sandy Ampitheater sitting on row Y seeing Joseph.

I also went to another concert.  It was a Scotish bagpipes concert in the park. It was during football practice so it was super convenient.

Not a great pic, but it was a little bit of bagpipes and lots of Irish Dancers that weren't that great.

Once again, I was alone and waited for Abi to come this time.

I got these new shoes for school.  They are suppose to make my feet not hurt when I stand on tile floor all day at school...

Summer Project

I have had a few projects I have been working on.  One of them is getting rid of excess stuff.  Minimizing is what I call it.  I don't need all this stuff.  Another one is finish painting the basement. Last summer I think I painted the family room, but didn't finish the hallway and stairway because I needed to patch some holes and fix corners and I didn't know how.  Well, I figured out how by talking to my new bud at work, Doug.  He knows how to do everything and he told me how to fix the corner pieces that are coming off without taking them all off and replacing the entire drywall piece.

He said to use screws to attach the corner pieces to the wall.  Andrew Dearing told me what kindof screws to use.  So, finally I got around to doing it.  We also had a doorkknob hole from when someone was mad.  I fixed that too.  I didn't do a great job...(need to practice mudding) but it looks

better than a hole in the wall.

This is the hole in progress...

The stairs I had to lean the ladder and hope it didn't fall so I could reach the top of the stairs...Obviously I didn't fall but it was a bit scarry

Brooke painted this last time we were painting...

We edited it this time before we painted over it...

Here is my starting to fix the corner things.

Still going through and adding to the landfill with our garbage

This is the old color of paint

 the new paint...LOVE it.

Orienting at Dixie State

Abi needed to go to Orientation at Dixie State the day of my dad's funeral.  So we had to reschedule. We rescheduled for Aug 9.  We passed through Cedar City on our way down, and picked up Andrew.  He decided to party with us.  We checked into our Hotel,  Days Inn...It was ok and Abi had a job interview at a Physical Therapy place.  Then we went and took a swim in our hotel pool.  It was ok...old but ok.

Then Abi suggested we go to the County Fair  Yes, the Washington County Fair.  It was GREAT fun.  We saw a Bird show that was super hot in temperature and we were dying.  We walked around and decided we needed a snow cone...Shaved ice is probably the more correct term.  I got a Shark Bait one I  think.

It was super good, notice on top is red with two sour patch kids and then the bottom is blue, with that gummy shark sticking out.

After our Shark bait snow cone, we decided to go to the Shark show.

It was this trailer pulled behind a semi truck that was an aquarium with these Nurse Sharks in them.  That is the host of the show in the wetsuit.

Here he is getting ready to get into the tank with the sharks.

See how the front lifts up to show you the sharks

There he is in the tank telling us about sharks.

Really it was the highlight of the fair.

Andrew and Abi leaving the fair

It was great fun.  Super hot but fun.

The next day Abi had to be at Orientation at 9:30.  So, she went to that, and Andrew and I went and catted around.

We decided to get Andrew his first pedicure.  I loved mine as usual.  I got pink polish and he opted for just clear coat....

We shopped

And thought about getting this shirt for Nick for school.

It was time to get Abi, and we took a trip to Financial Aid

to see what happens when one parent doesn't cooperate for FAFSA.  We got a solution to our dilemma.  Knew we couldn't be the only ones to have that situation!  We also got a T Shirt.  We also found out that Abi's roommate has a cat!  Cannot live with a Cat...so we got that changed too!  We are NOT cat people.  It was time to go home. Andrew decided to come home with us and then go back to Cedar when we come down next Friday to take Abi to school for real!  Super fun trip!

Concert and a Movie

Went to a concert in the Park last night at Bountiful Park.  It was Joshua Creek.  They were excellent.  nick had football practice at the same park.  However, I couldn't find anyone to go with me to the concert so I had to sit alone.  Here is the extra chair I had for Nick after practice.

Brooke is in canada at the Calgary zoo and a

.

I saw these foam pads at Home Depot and thought of Brooke that she could sleep on one of these while away at school since she won't have a bed.  She didn't like that idea so much...

Immunizations

Image result for immunizationsJack got his 7th grade shots today.  TDAP, another one, and the HPV for cancer shot.  He was soo nervous.  Not sure what he thought was going to happen.  But he did it and now his arm hurts! Whatever pain he felt today I told him is way better than having to go home the first day of school because his immunizations are not up to date.  He would have to wait for me to get out of school to be able to get them.  He would have missed the entire first day.

Abi got a Meningitis shot today too.  She has already had the series but I guess there is a new one for a B strand...She wasn't nervous at all.

I got a shot too.  I got one for Shingles.  If you are over 50 they recommend this shot especially if you have had Chicken Pox.  Which I got when I was 10.  My arm hurts too.  It is a live virus so I should feel feverish and kindof sick.  I feel fine, but I think I should take it easy for the next few days...

9 months

Chili willi has been gone 9 months.  I told Chili willy I wanted a divorce and there was the paperwork.  He emailed back that he was devastated.  Really?  Like it is hardly a surprise although I think he was a bit surprised that I actually would divorce him after all this time.  He emailed me and BEGGED me to not file until we talked face to face.  He had some questions.  Like what questions?

So, he asked if we could go out to dinner next time he was there.  Ok, we can do that.  I told him I was not changing my mind.  He asked me if I could just wait and after I waited if I still wanted a divorce he would pay to file.  Well, here we are in August like 3 months later and I still want a divorce and I haven't filed.

He has been here from his job in Minnesota that he didn't tell me he was working...that I had to find out due to him filling his medication at a Target store in Minnesota...I'm kindof a detective in my spare time...We went to Pei Wei and he just cried that he didn't want a divorce.  He really wants to change and he can..THIS time is different.  I told him I wasn't interested because I had been planning on divorcing him for the past 10 years.  He also sent me an email that said that I should be a wife.  And I didn't appreciate that.  He was SOO sorry....(right).  He also tells me I am constantly on my computer....I told him I am sick of hearing that and I will spend my free time doing whatever I feel like.  I can relax however I want.  Mark said his brother in Law describes some people as needing to Man the F&*% Up.  I told Chili willy that I have been waiting for him to Man The F@#$ Up all these years and I realized that I am the one who needs to Man the F@#$ Up.  So that is what I am doing.

Problem is, now that I have to physically go over to the Courthouse and file the papers.  I just forget about it because Chili isn't even here.  Since he begged me to NOT divorce him he has come a few times to visit which makes me mad. I do not run a hotel.  You do NOT come and go as you please.  I told him he is NOT staying here, then when my dad died well, guess who was here. I just didn't have the energy to fight him.  .And how does he have all this money to fly back and forth from Minnesota to SLC?  I don't have that kind of money since I am supporting the family (and buying a new transmission...:).

Grrr,,
