Andrew over Spring Break

 Andrew came to visit over spring break.  He said it is because all his friends have Covid so they are not going anywhere.  I don't mind being his second choice.  He fenagled another trial membership at EOS gym so he spent lots of time there.  Nick and Andrew would go in the evening after Nick's LAX practice.  

Andrew also decided to go to Yoga with me.  He took Brooke's spot since she was in Disneyworld.  

I took the day off to spend with andrew.  I got my hair done in the am and we played golf in the afternoon. We did take Brooke with us too.  We played at the Rosepark Golf course which I like a bunch.  It wasn't very crowded for our first day out this season.

Wouldn't be a complete day of golf without some lunch at the Crown Burger.  Crown is always a hit.  

We all had our best game ever.  Andrew dominated us in the game. I need to add 4 strokes to my score since I didn't count the time I missed the ball FOUR times.  Brooke had her best game too but she only played 7 holes as she had to run home to check her Disneyworld tickets que...  

Suspension Bridge hike with Abi and Nick

 Abi came to visit for a few days.  We decided to go to the suspension Bridge on Sunday with Michelle.  Nick came with us.  Nick and I have been up there I think three times.  Nick for sure 3 times.  I didn't get very many pictures because Abi and Nick were way far in front of me.  But this rock is where I rest and everyone else goes further to the red bridge after we cross the Suspension bridge.   I like resting here because I get to look at people and just be.  

Nick decided to test out my rock when he returned from the Red Bridge.

It was fun to see Abi and have her go to Church with us.  She also got to sleep with me.  I have missed her.  

A Funeral and 3 Cemetaries

 

Saturday, Michelle and Marlena ventured to Delta to a funeral of my mom's friend and brother's wife, Pat's sister.  Her name was Dot.  I didn't know her other than we saw her at Sears a few times when she worked there.  Michelle and I were just there to drive Marlena.  We decided to stop by a few cemetery while in Delta.  

Michelle is always good for decorating and cleaning the graves.  I just drive and tag along.

This my Grandma Stella and Grandpa Fon. They are buried in Delta.  

This is my Grandma Stella's sister Elpha.  No one knew she existed for a long time.  She lived at the State Hospital.  Kind of a sad story actually. I'm not sure I have ever noticed her grave next to my Gma.

AND this is my dad.  Michelle is cleaning the graves with that stick we picked up in Delta.  I'm just hanging out waiting for her to

We had a great time in Delta.  Funeral, driving by Gma Stella's house, Marlena's house she grew up in, Stopping at Maverick, Hinckley Fort (which we have never seen in all our years of visiting Delta), Reservoir looking for the Geese, and seeing all the relatives we only see at funerals now.  I didn't take pictures of the million drink stops and bathroom breaks.  We ended with dinner at Zupas to go.  

Taking the Brain Injury a bit far...

 so, Nick had a pretty severe Brain Injury in September that required two hospital stays of 3 or 4 days AND Brain Surgery.  

He now works for Chick Fil A 

they asked him in his interview about difficult situations (something like that) and he said that he had Brain Surgery in the fall so he was able to handle difficult situations...

THEN he was driving my van to school and using the handicapped parking pass that I got from Gma.  The football coach asks him why he is always parking in handicapped parking...well its from my brain injury he says.  Way to get the most out of your injury Nick.

Nick at Holiday

 Nick worked at Holiday a while ago.  We also got him these new shoes for some dance he went to.  This is a lost post that I just found too

Lots of Stuff

 

Just a fun fact, here is a pile of masks to Iron. Who would have thought we would be ironing masks to wear ALL the time?   These are our favorite masks from Old Navy.  They work best when washed and Ironed. I like the Santa Clause mask because it was on sale after Christmas. I don't want to invest much in masks since hopefully we are about finished with the covid...

This is my new Iron.  I was going to iron Jack a white shirt for his lagoon Interview and my Iron didn't work.  Like NOT At All.  I did get it from Aunt June when she died 10 years ago, so it is time.  A new Iron is like a new tennis shoes...I should have had a new one years ago.

Jack had to get a physical for LAX.  Here we are waiting. He was a bit nervous I think.  He went in alone and took care of it himself.  He was cleared to play.  

This is totally YUCK.  I pulled all this hair out of the drain in the bathtub in the basement. It kindof gives me a charge to pull it out because I have the slickest tool to do it.  No wonder the tub wouldn't drain.

Ty needed to pick up the mail key from me at school...and he brought me a treat.  Vente Mango dragon fruit refresher drink AND a Lemon Loaf.  What a pleasant surprise:)  

AND some kids brought me some cookies they made in their cooking Class.  Always nice to be remembered.
