Park City LAX

 LAX today was in Park City.  Jack and Nick took the bus so I drove up with Gma to see them.  

Nick is 97 and Jack is 99.  They played a great game but lost 20 to 0.

We have hiked the Suspension Bridge for the past few Sundays so we decided to go to another trail.  We didn't want to go up the Canyon so we went to this Potato trail instead.  Nick and Brooke accompanied me.  We got to the trail and it was also a bike trail which was ok and  It was a loop that was like 1.5 miles long.  It sounded good.

The problem was that it was super Muddy.  Like too Muddy.  We hiked about 10 minutes, turned around and went to the look out point which was beautiful and was  2oo feet away.

See this looks like a great trail.  

Somehow I got Black and White photos and couldn't fix it.  Imagine that..

We turned around and walked up to this look out point instead.  We did have Michelle's two dogs with us so we didn't want to get them muddy.

My cousin Stephen gave this comic to my dad that had a guy that painted ONE line on the wall with a roller.  And the headline was "That's it for today, it should go much faster next weekend now that I have the hang of it..."   My dad wasn't handy at all so it was hilarious.  But I was reminded of it on this hike after we turned around in 10 minutes...:

This is the dinner we had.  Mini Shepherd's pie and Broccoli.  It was pretty good.  

Breakfast of Champions

 I have driven my children to school every day on my way to work for the past 20 years.  I am down to o one riding with me.  I use to stop at the Gas Station AFTER I dropped everyone off.  Now I stop before...not sure how come I changed that...

Diet Coke for the breakfast makes me so proud...

We have to stop by our gma house since she lives near the school to drop off our LAX stuff.  Jack walks down from school and hangs out before practice and Nick picks him up.  Oh and that's his New Jersey he got in the mail.  Not sure who it is  but he says it is cool.  Looks good for sure.

Vaccinations for Nick and Brooke

 

Finally the Covid vaccine is available for 16 and above for people with health issues.  Brooke and Nick were both eligible.  First day eligible Nick got his Vaccine.  3:15 we pulled into the fairgrounds in Farmington and by 3:30 we were out into the waiting area for the 15 minutes you have to wait to see if you have any reactions or die.  If you are dying then you need to honk your horn or flash your lights.

Brooke got her shot.  She took herself so I didn't get any pictures of her.  

The side effects have been varied among the people that I know at school.  So I was worried about Nick and Brooke with theirs.  

I asked Nick in the morning how he was feeling.  Not good, he had those flu like symptoms (what 17 year old says that...)  like the lady said he might so he better stay home.  Ok, Nick way to maximize on the Vaccine.  He did stay home from school and conveniently he was cured and ready to go to LAX that night.  

Brooke didn't experience any flu like symptoms that the lady said she might.  

It has been cool to see the Covid cases for Utah coming down in numbers due to the vaccine.  My school right now has 2 cases of Covid.   Bountiful High school does have around 12 but I suspect it will go down soon.   It has been around 5 or 6 for a while.  

Dr, Fauchi says the Virus stops with us who are vaccinated.   We are just trying to do our part to be good Global Citizens.  

LAX 2021 Opening Game

 

Nick and Jack have been playing LaCrosse.  They have been going to practice every day after school for 3 hours and have to be Covid tested every two weeks.  Both of them have been negative all three times.  

We got a a new stick for Nick for Christmas and a new bag for Jack.   The first game was finally here against Olympus.  Nick is 97 and Jack is 99.  

These are the best pictures I could get.  It was absolutely freezing cold.  I can't believe Brooke and I even stayed through the entire game.  We are good supporters like that.  

Paid the LAX fee to the school.  Had to be paid by Friday or they couldn't play.  Made a special trip to the High School during my prep to pay.  90.00 each. Sounds like a bargain to me.
