WEEK ONE - Jack's first week at the home MTC

 Well I have finished my first week of home mtc, I am absolutely EXHAUSTED. This first week felt long just with all of the zoom calls but it is crazy how much I feel like I have learned. I have really felt the spirit this week and already seen so many miracles. I found out that my companion is also from bountiful and we are going to the same mission so that was a cool thing to figure out. Just wanted to reach out with my first email and feel free to email me back!! I would love to hear from all of you guys!!!

Went to the Aquarim to see Brooke and the Sloth Feeding on P day.

Home MTC

 First time of the home MTC.  I have mixed thoughts about the home MTC.  Jack was up and at em early.  I think he was a bit nervous. As we all would be.  

I cooked some Ritz Cracker Chicken for him for dinner.  He asked me to take it to Grandma's house because he didn't have time to come home.  He ate it before I even had time to leave.

Jack's Mission Farewell

Jack had his mission farewell. He was a fantastic speaker. He really was good.  Cory Orme also spoke.  He was the second speaker.  He was fantastic too.

This was the impromptu choir singing Called To Serve.  There is Abi, Brody, Brooke, Ty, Abi Tribe and McCall that sant in the choir .  There is our Bishop in the back right.  

AND the lady that put Jack in the corner in primary because he ws talking is net to Abby Tribe in the blue shirt..so fitting...:)

It really was good.  So many people singing.  And NO practices.  Plus we got to participate

After church, we went to Marlena's house and had Taco Bar for lunch.  It was raining and so everything had to be inside.  We had tons of kids that were Jack's Friends and Nicks too.  They ate a lot which I was happy.  22 lbs of hamburger.  They didn't eat mch lettuce...

I didn't get a single pic of the day or of lunch other than it was fun and we worked hard.  I had lots of help so it came together. 

He was set apart at 5:15 pm and that was it.

Abi is in Town

 Abi and Brody came to town for Jack's Farewell.  Abi was helping me get ready so we started the day Early at the Planet Fitness.  

We hurried and got all the shopping and errands for the Farewell lunch and then we met for some Golf.  We went to Schneiders Bluff in West Point.  

Abi, Jack and I played together so that is why I only have pics of them. Andrew, Brody, Nick and Lili were in the group in front of us.  I wish I had a pic of Nick when he fell out of the golf cart, and when he lost his hat due to the rain and he had to run and rescue it in the water.  Never seen him run so fast.  

It was rainy and cold that day, but it cleared up and said the rain should stop.  We did pretty good until the last few holes and it started it rain.  Abi and I decided to not play the last hole because it was too cold and rainy.  We dropped Jack off with the others and they finished as a 5.  They were troopers. 

We went to the Golden Ginger for chinese food after the golf.  It is our favorite place. They were a bit slow, but food is always good.  Love it. 

Mother's Day

Mother's day started out in church. I lead the singing in my new shirt.  NO one even noticed.

Then I convinced Jack and Nick to go on  hike to the Draper Suspension Bridge.  They were pretty ok with going.  Nick has done the hike before.  It was super windy.  This is a horrible pic of me, but it was so windy my hair was everywhere

We all made it.  We walked across that bridge and it was so windy that it was swaying soo much.  Then we got a thunderstorm warning on our phone so we decided to go down and not go to the other bridge up there.  

We managed to avoid the rain and ended making it down.  It took about an hour to go up and back.  It is such a great hike.  You get to park in the parking lot, bathrooms right there, and two miles round trip.

Brooke said she was coming over and they gave me this phone.  Seriously....A phone.  Fabulous gift.  Then a Case, and some golf balls that said Happy mother's day. 

We are deciding where to go eat for mother's day.  We could go to Taco Bell, Cafe Rio, Golden Ginger (but that is in Clearfield), Beto's.  THEN I thought of Dees Family Restaurant.

I'm in, Andrew is in, and Ty is in. Brooke and Jack not as excited.  

Got there and needed some cheese fries to start.

I got the Senior Spaghetti.  It is  my favorite.  Ty got the blue cheese burger, Andrew got the Chicken fried steak and eggs, Brooke and Jack got the quesadilla.  Brooke and Jack were pleasantly surprised.  

We missed Nick who was home asleep and Abi and Brody who live in Arizona.  

Such a great time.  Love that I was remembered by those I love the VERY most.  

Memorial Day Weekend Cemetary Visit

 Visited the Cemetary over Memorial Day.  Here's the pics.  They are the same from year to year, but since I took them, It is worth it to put it here so I know we went this year. 

Marlena at her Brother Dale's Grave.  He is in Bountiful and we don't usually visit him.  I think Marlena goes to his grave alone but can't walk on grass alone anymore so she needed to go with someone.  Jack didn't want to take her on his 3 hour break from the Home MTC

Mark came this year and we went to Cracker Barrell after.  That was a weird choice for us but it was good.  I got the Pot Roast which was weird for me too.  Soo good.
