Terra Lynne

TerraLynne is our best Facial Lady.  Michelle got me going, and I got Brooke going.  Brooke had an appt and then I was after her. I was in the waiting room.  I love it because it is so calm and rejuvenating to just sit and be while I waited.
That is the door where the magic happens.  While I was sitting there, I could hear the gong she uses at the end.  I knew Brooke was almost finished.  Not sure what the gong is but it is cool.
Love her.  She makes you feel so good.  It is like an hour and 45 minutes of facial, foot rubs, and arm massages.  THE absolute best.

Before I went to the Terra, I went to the hotworx.  Notice the hallway was dark.  I was super early and if no one else is there, the hallway goes dark.  That is when it is super great beause it is just you and the heat.  Notice my preworkout drinks.

Jack is super cold in Alaska right now.

And I'm ready for the BYU bowl game.  Ha, I just found this shirt from a loooonnng time ago.  I thought I needed one when they were on sale at the Old Navy.  Never wore it and forgot about it.  Now I'm ready.

Happy holidays! - Jack's email from Alaska

Merry Christmas everyone! This week was actually so cool and awesome to be apart of. Alaska is dark so everyone's moody but this week cus or the holidays people were in great moods so it is actually super cool to see that. We had another wind storm so that makes 3 wind storms in the last 3 weeks. Starting to get use to these 60 mph gusts lol. Anyways this week was way dope so let's get into it!

Tuesday 12/16: today we had district council which is always fun and so we talked a lot there then had zone lunch. After that, we went and did some stop bys and helped one of our friends out of her house. We had dinner at the coolest members house and my comp got attacked by their dog, it was probably the funniest thing ever.

Wednesday 12/17: I was on an exchange so I was not in my area today, I was with a greenie in another area so that was fun. It was windy today but nothing crazy so yeah. We got into a bash with a guy who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ so that was fun.

Thursday 12/18: we did weekly planning today and planned for this upcoming week, we helped out a lady who does medical stuff and her stuff got destroyed because of the wind so we went and helped her out. Turns out she's a body builder and has an insane home gym. We maxed out on bench press and I hit 255 so I can bench the most in the zone 🥱🥱🥱🥱.

Friday 12/19: today we were helping set up our ward party in the morning, we then went and helped build a parade float for the parade. It was -10 and we were out there for 4 hours so I thought I was gonna die straight up. That was brutal, we then went to our ward Christmas party which was super fun.

Saturday 12/20: we had a lesson with one of our boys named Tom he's a lover of God and has a super strong testimony. We invited him to read from the book of mormon then he Gave us his religious type of scripture so that was funny. We did a service for Christmas presents today and that was super cool. The wind started tonight and it was brutal doing work today. We went one of our pmf households for a lesson today and the husband asked his wife if she wants to take the missionary discussions and she said yes! So cool!!

Sunday 12/21: we only had 1 hour of church but lemme tell ya our ward had the best musical numbers I've ever heard. We had a stake youth recital music thing and that was cool to hear all these kids have so many talents. We then had probably the best dinner I've ever had on my mission today. Ribs and roasted veggies. Unbelievable and the lady just kept loading my plate up.

Spiritual thought Luke chapter 2.

It's super cool reading the birth of Jesus Christ and how humble his circumstances were when he was born and what he ended up doing for us and giving us the best gift possible. I would invite you guys to just find ways to serve your neighbors this holiday season.

Email me! Have a good week!

Golf in December

The weather has been nice so we decided to golf on December 23.  Who would have thought that we would be playing golf in December in Salt Lake City.  We headed over to the Rose Park.

I even decided to walk.  We didn't know if we were going to be able to have a cart so we decided to walk.  Andrew has these two pull carts that have a stool.  I opted for a cart with the stool.  Nick used my pull cart without a seat

Heading to the first Tee

Not sure why I have to many selfie's.

Nick warming up

Checking out the stool.  It really was a great idea for a push cart.  If I ever get a new push cart, I'm getting a stool for sure.

We had a great time.  The weather was about 50 degrees with a bit of a wind but it wasn't cold. It was pretty crowded for golf in December.
Fun was had by all.  We even survived walking 9 holes.

Christmas Sunday

Christmas Sunday came around.  It is one of my favorites, it is great to lead the singing because everyone sings and it is usually pretty loud.

Nick said he would come with me, but at the last minute he was going to the YSA ward.  Then when I got home, he was still in bed.  :)  Of course he was going to YSA.

It was an ok meeting.  Some weird Christmas songs were sung by the Chor and people.  It was nice though and only an hour.  I did get to lead The First Noel. I wanted to Lead "Oh Come All Ye Faithful".  It always reminds me of Mrs. Brady when she got laringitis and her family prayed for her so she could sing that song on Christmas Morning at Church.  It was a Christmas Miracle and she was able to do sing Christmas day.

I walked on the different side of the church today and saw my Jack and his plaque.  Dang I miss him.  Glad he is doing the Lord's work, but why miss him so much.  I guess the price we pay for Love...

Jack sent me this.  It was -6 degrees and he hoped we were enjoying oru 60 degrees here.  Yes we are.  Then later, he sent another one and it was -18.

Sing A Long 2025

Our favorite night of the year happened last night.  THE Sing A Long at the Delta Center.  We had Brooke, Ty, Andrew, Lili, Nick and Me from our family.

Michelle had everyone from her family except for McKenna and Mitchell.  We were smaller in numbers than usual.  We did have 16 though.  We didn't have the grandma because she has still been recovering from Back Surgery.  She would have made it if it was a church function.  She does have Munchausen by proxy but for church.

Marti and I don't get into the trying to get on the jumbo tron so much as the others
We did make it two times though.  Marti and I didn't have anything to do with it

Fun was had by all.  Food was the weakness.  Only Z dogs was open and it was kind of long so most of us didn't eat.  They said see you next year for the 2026 Sing A Long.  YAY I hope they keep doing it for years and years.

Christmas Party at the Grandma's

Annual Christmas Party at the Grandma's was last night.  We did a new thing and had Olive Garden Cater it.  It was Mark's idea and he picked it up. What a great idea.  The food was good and the cleanup was so much easier.

These are the only pictures I took.

After the dinner we played a Kahoot that McKenna made.  Andrew and I had one ready, but we didn't want to invade on Trey and McKenna's Kahoot.  I even had some prizes that were leftover stuff I already had.

Then we played another game.  Not sure what it was, but it was pretty fun.

The grandma passed out her gifts to everyone and we went home.  Everyone was there, even though I didn't get a pic of everyone.  Abi and Jack were missing from my family.  Hayden and Grace were missing from Mark's family.

I was busy playing with Brooks, who is Mitchell's baby and is 7 months old and super cute and HUGE.  Way more fun than taking pictures.

I was suppose to bring dessert.  I couldn't find my Peanut Butter Bar Recipe so I had Michelle send it to me.  Here it is for the rest of my life in case I lose it.  They were fantastic.

Great party.  Great company and great food. Until next year.

Nick has a Cyst

Nick went to the Doctor alone.  He had a bump on his head.  The Dermatologist said that it was a cyst and he would have to return again later for removal.

This was his removal.  He had 5 stitches and they sent it off to see if it was Cancerous.   He has such long hair that you can't even tell it is there.

UPDATE:  He got a call from the Derm and the Cyst removal was normal.  I thought it probably was, but glad to know it something about Nick is normal.  :)

Bingo with some of my Besties

Saturday started out at the Hotworx.  I have a different shirt on to show that I'm not just posting the same pic of me.

Nick was going to Logan to an Ugly Sweater contest and wanted to use these christmas bows and attach them to a sweatshirt.  NOPE I have a few ugly sweaters for a contest.  He fell in love this this vest that had flamingos on it.  Then add the Abominal Snowman shirt and the Flamingo glasses to complete the ensemble.  He said he won. Of course he did.

My Golf besties decided to venture out and play Bingo in Brigham City at the Eagles Lodge.  I'm all in.  We had 15.00 for our Bingo, and an extra 5.00 if you wanted an extra card.  Of course we did.

We also bought some raffle tickets.  5.00 for 6 tickets.

Dinner was Spagetti, salad, breadsticks.  It was pretty good.  Bingo was fun, I actually got a Bingo, but someone else was faster than I was at yelling.  We also won a prize from the raffle.  I won some kindof lantern with a candle in it and a pump for an air mattress.  I might skip the raffle next time, because the people that donated to the raffle I am pretty sure they just cleaned out their garage of HUD.  I don't need anymore HUD.  I could have donated to the raffle.  :)

It was super fun and we are scheduled to go next month on January 10.

When my Aunt June died 10 years ago, I inherited her box of wrapping paper.  I'm still using it.  Why not.  We just throw it away anyway.  Here's the latest paper for this year.

I got these jeans and didn't know if I should wear them. Brooke said yes.

I added the shoes and went to school. I fixed the cuff to be equal.  If I look stupid, its Brooke's fault.  :)
