It was Lunch at Grandma's house today. Andrew and Brooke go on Mondays. I conveniently don't have golf today so I joined them. We had Zupas and Nick and Andrew had Wing Stop. Grandma didn't like the lettuce at the Zupas. I love the lettuce.

Don't got much time to write an email this week but I'll keep it quick. We had a lot of miracles and has been one of the most blessed weeks of my mission so far for sure. This has for sure been the most fun I've had on my mission recently its been so so good.

Happy Birthday Grandpa, and a 3rd place finish
Grandpa Lewis died 8 years ago. Today June 2 was his birthday. Brooke and Andrew got a cake for Grandma to celebrate. I drank a lot of Diet Coke in honor of him. He loved a good Coke with crushed ice. I mean a HUGE coke. I thought about him also today as I heard him say "just let it go". He was big on letting things go and why don't you outnice people. I hated that phrase the most. Outnice someone? Who wants to do that. What good advice. He also said one of the best ways to do missionary work is by not mentioning the gospel at all. Just be good and friendly. He also said that even if the Church of Jesus Christ is wrong in the end, it isn't a bad way to live.
He loved his Mustang Convertible, Playing golf and big slab of steak or Prime rib. He also loved a good cookie or donut. My kids were raised at his house because he took them to school every day after they ate breakfast and he told them some jokes at the table each day. He picked them up after Kindergarten and if Grandma wasn't home, they could go and get lunch somewhere. However, if you went to the drive through window, you had to order from the back seat because he didn't know how to order at the drive through.

Melanie 19 years, Metamucil, and Bountiful Ridge
It is summer time and I don't have much to share. Other than, it has been a Ben & Jerry's kindof life right now. It is bargain therapy for $6.99. Tonight Dough is one of my favorites.
Sushi with a General Authority? - Jack's Email from Alaska
This week was hypeeeee not gonna lie, also very packed full of meetings and zoom call it was insane. We have 3 days full of 3 hour conferences and it was just a lot of information thrown at us for sure but it was blessed. We flew to Juneau on wednesday night and our confernece was the next day. I got to see a few of my mission buddies so that was cool. When we got to the airport on wednesday, my companion and I were the first ones to get there and we saw Elder Wada there. He invited us to get sushi with him and his wife so that was cool. Had to make sure I was on my A game lol.
We flew back to Anchorage Thursday night, our flight got delayed so we didnt get in until 1 am. We then had a meeting at 9 am so that was kinda brutal not gonna lie. But it was a super cool experience for sure.
- I found a Spanish speaking guy using Google translate so like that was crazy
-we found 4 more people regardless of countless hours of meetings
-I went to juneau
Low
lights
- Those meetings had me cooked
- we got a lot of new insight on how to teach out friends
-
some member gave us like $100 worth of groceries
Spiritual thought: Elder Wada was talking to us about how to really apply the book of mormon. He read 1 Nephi 1:1 where it says " I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents" and he talked about how every person in the room wants to be a good parent or how they have good parents. The way he was able to relate it in the moment was super cool about just one verse at a time and how they are so sincere. These are gifts we surely do take for granted.
Anyways send me an email would love to hear from you all!

Second day of Summer Vacation
Day 2 of Summer Vacation, I started at the Hotworx with my new Blue Towel. I love that Towel. So great for resting. I did some Yoga and mostly rested through Pilates. Tomorrow I'm really going to do the class. ..)
