Hello everyone! Once again it has been another week of being a missionary here in Alaska. We got our transfer news on Sunday night and my Comp is going to South Anchorage and I am going to be staying here in North getting a new comp who will do my last transfer of training. Anyways let's get into the week
Tuesday 7/15: pretty bummy p day today, didn't do much for it so that wasn't exciting. We had a dinner at the butlers so that was fire and then we started our exchange this night.
Wednesday 7/16: Today i was on an exchange with the zone leader Elder Richardson. He is very smart with pretty much everything so that was cool. We then had a meeting for our whole missions about the cars and about 5 minutes into it we were told about a tsunami that could hit Alaska so that was pretty sketch. There was like a 7.3 earthquake or something that happened too.
Thursday 7/17: Back with my companion Elder Turnidge today. We didn't get much done efficiently because our lessons just canceled so that was awkward. But we had a member meal which was very good.
Friday 7/18: went on another exchange with Elder Collins and it was a blast. We just did a ton of stop bys and he goes home after this next transfer so that will be sad.
Saturday 7/19: Another day that just felt ineffective as lessons canceled again last minute and we didn't get to much. Dinner with the butlers again who made steak so that was the best thing ever.
Sunday 7/20: Today was just a normal Sunday with transfer news. We did a stop and as we were doing it we thought the guy said "come in" but he in fact didn't so we kinda broke into this guys house pretty much and the wife came down asking why we just opened the door so that was awkward. Transfers tonight and basically only 3 out of the 11 members of are district are only staying and they are combining and white washing an area so this transfer could be interesting.
Monday 7/21: a lot of meeting and sad goodbyes to everyone, dinner at the hadfields which was fire and then just helping my companion pack.
Today 7/22: early 4 am wake up call to take people to the airport that was pretty brutal but we are still alive.
Please email me! I love hearing from all of you!
