Can't decide what to wear to Church

I got some new clothes.  I couldn't decide if they looked ok.  AND Nick who was home before church wasn't extremely helpful.  Mostly because he gets in the shower with 15 minutes til church. . .

This one needs a different top but I liked the skirt

Thanksgiving 2025

Thanksgiving started out with Thanksgiving golf.  It was a Shot Gun Start at Lakeside.  We started on hole 15, and we could play as many holes as we could, but had to have our cart back by 1:00 pm.  We played 11 holes.  

Great fun and beautiful weather.  We didn't even need our cart cover or Golf cart heater.  Good thing, because my heater is broken.  But fab way to start the day.  I mean much better than a Turkey Trot.

It was then off to Marlena's house for Dinner.  Everyone brought something.  Marti did a fantastic Turkey and Paula did great stuffing and potatoes and corn.  I did Green Bean Casserole and mexi dip.  I really put myself out.  Michelle did the rolls.  We forgot yams.  I am not sure many people missed them.

Played a round of Thanksgiving Bingo.  Mark was the caller and fun was had by all.  McCall is the gift getter, and she has certainly gotten better candy.  Kit Kats and Sour Patch kids now, not the dollar tree chocolate that people don't like.  I didn't even get any pics of the gifts. 

Everyone was there that could have been.  We missed Grace and Hayden from Mark's family, Blake from Michelle's family and Abi and Jack from mine.  

It is fun to see the people I love and don't get to see very often.

Also, I picked up this Record at an Estate Sale for my friend Frank.  I fired up Marlena's record player and played some Johnny Mathas.  Marlena loves Johnny Mathas.  

This Record player was my Grandpa Lewis' and it still works.  

Then we took navy home to babysit her.  Michelle's family went to get Christmas Trees in Vernal so we kept McKenna's dog.  She's a sweet dog. If I were to get a dog, it would be Navy. 

She likes to get on the bed and have my rub her belly.  

Transfers and or sum - Jack's email From Alaska

Yo yo yo what is going on everybodyyyyy!?!?! I've been chilling here in palmer. We got transfer news on Sunday and I am staying in my area with Elder Anderson. So this will be in an interesting transfer to say the least. This week I did in fact hit 6 months so that's kind of cool! But yeah pretty much today is our p day because everyone is traveling and in Alaska people have to fly to their areas so yeah it's pretty dope.

 Tuesday 11/18: full of meetings today did a service for our tongan member and we left with 6 plates of food. Shoutout Sister Palu.

Wednesday 11/19: today was another just Normal day of work. We had 2 services too for a member and then we did some service for a member.

Thursday 11/20: pretty nasty service we did today so not my favorite. Then we had a pretty lame lesson with our friend Jeff it was hecka mid but yeah. We had a gas member meal today tho and then a ward art show. 

Friday 11/21: today was a Chill day. We did weekly planning today and we had a lunch/dinner at the bakers so that was pretty gas. We then did stop bys the rest of the night which was pretty mid. 

 Saturday 11/22: was quite a fun day today won't lie. We set up a play for our member at the church so that was cool. We had a member meal which was good and then ended up going to one of our friends church services at night. That was very interesting. 

Sunday 11/23: typical Sunday wit church n stuff but we had the Blackburns on the calendar which meant it was going to be a good dinner. We always be having the best time there. Also got transfer news tonight.

Monday 11/24: they moved our p day so today was bunssss I also didn't sleep like at all so yeah I was exhausted today to say the least lol.

Tuesday 11/25: we had district council today so that was cool. We had palmer awards and my award was a diet coke related thing so I'm proud of it. We had our member meal cancel so they just gave us money to get food with. Then had a lesson with the guy who bashed us and who we went to his church service for. Wasn't too bad just the good ol trinity questions so idek.

 I finished the new testament this week as well so that was cool.

Nick and Murray Parkway

 We had an extra spot for golf at Murray Parkway so I invited Nick to go.  Of course he was all in.

It was a big chilly but good.  We had our golf cart cover for cold.  

The golf cart heater didn't work.  I guess I need to get another one.  

We played pretty good  Some good shots, and some bad.  Then we ate lunch at Red Rock.  No pictures of that, but it was a fab day!  Well, would have been even more fab if our heater worked.  

I'll get Marlena on a new heater. )

Happy 59 Birthday and 59

                               I turned 59 today.  And 59.  Who would have thought.

  My day started with a visit to the Hotworx.  

Only class I could get alone was this Iso one with Chris as the teacher.  It was good. Next time I'll do better.  I did rest for the class after.  Buns.  It looked good from the floor resting.

Jack posted this. He also called me around 11:30.  I am old and tired and barely stayed awake.  I remember him saying 'did you hear what I said?'  um nope I fell asleep for a moment.

AND a birthday isn't complete without a trip to the Golden Ginger.  They have spiffed up the place over the years.  Food is always good.  Service good mostly.  Coke fantastic. 

Only thing, we missed Abi and Brody and Jack.  Last time we were all at the Ginger was the night before Jack left for his mission.  Can't wait until ALL of my favorites are together again at the Ginger.

Great Birthday.  It is weird to be so old but good at the same time.  Love these peeps.

Kent bought me an air fryer a few weeks ago.  Finally I decided to use it. I made these Egg Rolls.  They took 8 minutes and they are so good!  I can't believe I waited so long to get an one.

What upppp everyone this week was honestly such a fire week and it was so fun actually. We just put our heads down and glt to work even though its getting cold here so it has been really fun to see it pay off. But I hit 6 months on Wednesday so that's kinda cool. Got into a pretty big bash this week so that was fun. Let's get into the week! 

Monday 11/10: one of our members has a golf simulator in their garage so he invited us over at the end of p day to play some with him and that was the best thing ever. I miss golf so much.

Tuesday 11/11: we did a lot of heavy lifting service today so that was fun. We had dinner with some potential friends and then we got into a bash with the friends they were brought over. Stumped me on a very simple question and so just had a bare a quick testimony and tell em the book of mormon is true and gave it to both the couples. Quite an interesting experience experience say the least.

Wednesday 11/12: we gave a blessing to a lady at an old folks home and then we had interviews with the mission president. After that we did a whole lot of stop bys and it was a good day. Not a Ton of people answered but that's alright.

Thursday 11/13: went on exchanges today so I stayed in my area with a new missionary so that was fun. Did a lot of stop bys and that was super fun.

Friday 11/14: we did weekly planning today since we were on an exchange on Thursday so that was good. Cleaned up the apartment a lil and had a member meal to finish off the night which was pretty mid but the dude is chill.

Saturday 11/15: we had a couple lessons today and one of our friends gave us some food so we ate and talked a ton. Had some apartment inspections and they took our stop sign 😭😭. 

Sunday 11/16: normal Sunday today we had church and then ward Correlation with all the Dawgs in the ward. The nice tongan lady invited us over for some food today and turns out it was her birthday and SO MUCH FOOD. she was just loading my plate up over and over it was crazy. But yeah such good food too. We then had another member meal for dinner and it was just good ol pizza which is always good. But yeah such a fire week. 

Alma chapter 19 was such a good chapter I read and yall should go read it and lemme know what you think about it!
