First snow? And it's getting cold - Jack's email from Alaska

What upp everybody. This week was pretty good I feel like. It was long but also I felt like it went by pretty quick but that's every week in the mission I feel like. But we has a couple lessons this week which was good and it also snowed this week. It was in the single digits yesterday so that wasn't fun. But let's get into the week! 

Tuesday 10/4: was a chill day we had district council today. After that we went and set up some Christmas lights for one of our members and that was cool. It didn't turn out great but we got them up. They then invited us in for dinner and It was gas. We had a lesson with a member and her non member husband and that was good. He had a lot of questions about Joseph Smith and his "wives" so it was interesting.

Wednesday 10/5: we had a lesson with one of our friends today which was good. He kinda dropped us but not completely so that was good. We did a whole ton of texting today. Then we had a dinner with some awesome members so that was good.

Thursday 10/6: i was on an exchange all day and it dumped snow today. So all the roads are pretty much just ice here so driving Is a lil sketchy now but it's okay. We ended up taking photos today with the snow and stuff and they ended up cool.

Friday 10/7: we unexchanged in the morning today and then we did studies and weekly planning. We set up a few lessons today for our friends so hopefully some of them can progress for once.

Saturday 10/8: we had another lesson with one of our friends and it was super good and awkward at the same time. We also met with one of our other friends who hasn't met with us in awhile and said we are good to come back so that was cool. We had another lesson with an inactive so that was cool.

Sunday 10/9: Sunday today was cool cool. We had meetings today after church and then we had a stake meeting today with all of the missionaries. It was a good meeting for us and the missionaries. We had dinner tonight which was phenomenal and these members had a golf setup in their garage and it was so sick. Safe to say I don't know how to play golf anymore. When He let me hit some I can't anymore.

Spiritual thought: Matthew 5 14-16

 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven
