Andrew had a check up at the eye dr. It has been 2 years since we have been in. We saw a different doc this time (who is helping out in the surgeons office) who specializes in contact lenses. He asked if we would be interested in them, and actually, Andrew is interested for sports. We decided to travel to Riverton to his other office to see. Low and behold he was able to fit him. Andrew is the proud owner of contact lenses. We only had to pay another $85 for a fitting fee, and the next appt we will buy a year supply of contact lenses for about $220. He can actually wear them, unlike when we got the hard contacts a few years ago. Now he can see the ball when he plays football, or Le Cross or wrestling or driving or just sitting around...
Jack was suppose to be Student of the Week last week. So we made a poster for it. Jack actually was interested in making his poster himself. I printed the pictures, and he choose what he wanted, and glued them on, and wrote his name on the top in pencil. I asked him if he wanted to write it in marker, and he said no, everyone can see it already. Okay. Then next to each picture he wrote, 'me getting a touchdown', 'me getting the onside kick', 'me running the ball'. He wrote each by hand with a pencil. Exactly how he wanted it. I think thats what a 4th grade Student of the Month poster should be. Exactly how the Student wants it. He took his poster to school and he is really next week, so he is keeping it in his locker til then. yahoo, we are finished with that!
