Once in a while, we do other things besides LAX. Sunday, Jack wanted to go practice driving. We decided to take the Van. It has been over heating but we put some coolant in it, and didn't see it leak a few weeks ago. Plus we were going to stay close and if it got too hot we would turn on the heater. Which worked when my other car over heated.
Jack started up the Van, and we drove over to Cross E Ranch. Then kept going. Car was fine. Then started to overheat, we turned the heat on. The heat doesn't work! I had no idea.
Got out popped the hood. Called McCall to come bring us some antifreeze. She did. We put some in, and made it a bit further. Stopped to cool down after about 3 miles.
Started again, with more antifreeze but the antifreeze thing was full. We made it to the Elementary school. McCall was following us from behind. So glad she came to help. I needed another adult there.
Finally, we made it home, parked it and that was it. Good thing we remembered to go to Maverick FIRST.
I hate that Van. Including the transmission I had to replace a few years ago.

Then everyone came into my room to visit and chat. Jack was showing off his Wife Beater (shirt) which is totally against all things decent. Nick was trying to justify why all his Maverick cups and straws in his room are ok. Not reusing your cups and straws are bad for the Sea Turtles. He says well, do you see any turtles in his room? Keeping them and NOT throwing them away are not hurting the turtles. Good point Nick.
