Michelle and I showed up at Mulligans (golf course) one Tuesday morning. We were starting our summer golf. This is after Michelle retired at the end of June. We were in line to golf, and a lady came over and invited us to join the Ladies League. So we did.
We golfed every Tuesday for about 5 times, then it was tournament time. We played a scramble. We teed off the white tees instead of the yellow. They were further back and so we get more playing in if we go off white. We placed early because it isn't so hot and finished before the ladies started. We turned in a 40 and went to lunch.
Two days later, we were taking a tour of Hale and we receive this text
We took second place. Holy cow. We couldn't remember what par was, so we drove over and got a scorecard. Par was 33. That meant that the first place team scored a 32, then we were next with a 40. Who would have thought that we were second. That is a big gap between first and second.
AND since I had to go back to school, Michelle picked up our prizes
She's kind of busy today with the Brooks man. His mother had to go back to work today too. She's a Speech Person for the School District.
Guess she found the time.
HERE they are!
So cute. What a nice gift.
I can't play anymore in the league but I hope Michelle will go for the last few times. She's pretty good.
And I'm sure we will play next summer.
