The promised land - Jack's email from Alaska

I have made it through another week of missionary work and this week was pretty fire won't lie. This week we had like so much service for people it was so crazy I feel like that's all we did. But I hit 100 days as a missionary tomorrow so that is also kind of crazy how it's flown by but also been the longest 100 days of my life lol. But let's get into it

Wednesday 8/20: we went on like a 3 day exchange because the ZLs flew to barrow for exchanges so that was crazy and also super fun. We had a Ton of service today since we were running 4 areas between 3 of us. But we also had a ton of lessons, we also had the davis family for dinner and that was some pretty fire salmon we were fed.

Thursday 8/21: we had interviews with our mission president today, we then had more service shocker, but we had a pretty good day overall, had a pretty good dinner too.

Friday 8/22: we went to salcha for bread service at the senior center and pretty much you get like a crap ton of pallets on a dolly and as my comp went inside with all of the bread all of the pallets tipped on his dolly and so much bread on the floor it was funny I won't lie. We had a couple lessons and then we had one with Kristian who's hilarious and he gave us Chinese food which was amazing. We then had another dinner so 2 dinners in one night which was good but also felt like I was gonna explode.

Saturday 8/23: this was for sure the most productive Saturday we've had on the mission we had quite a few lessons today. We stopped by some members and just set more lessons up so that has been good for us. We had dinner with the Bowlby family and we talked Golf for 2 hours straight and his wife and my comp were just in shock by how much we talked about it.

Sunday 8/24: lots and lots of church and then a lesson at the Miller home and they want there kid baptized so lets pray they will want to meet with us again to get there kid baptized!! But we had the cliffords and just always amazing food at that house.

Transfers are next week so that will be exciting I do want to stay in this area though. But this week was really good for the most part and I enjoyed it a lot.

 Spiritual thought:

Well this week I was studying Lehis dream and realizing how important it is for us to hold onto the iron rod and be on the straight and narrow path. Obviously there are times in life when we get so busy and it gets so crazy that we kind of get burnt out but anything is possible with the Atonement of Jesus Christ and we need to follow and trust in his plan!

Email me back! Love hearing from all of you!
