MLK Weekend in St George

So decided to go to St George this weekend.  We wanted to play with Abi and Andrew decided to come over too.  We rented a car (because my car makes me nervous)  and left Saturday Am.  Here's Jack on the way down...

Stopped in Cedar to say Hi to Andrew.  He was at Work at the Chevron.  We had just stopped at the Maverick about 5 miles before Cedar because I forgot he was working at a convenience store...
Here he is in action selling some cigarettes.

After we got Abi and checked in, we went swimming.  We had the pool to ourselves for a while.  I had to go back to Cedar City to get Andrew after work at 8:00.  Abi took Nick and Jack on a walk up to Dixie Rock and to her apartment to play LIFE.

Here's the picture from Dixie Rock that overlooks the city that Nick took.

I picked up Andrew and came back.  Then we decided to swim again.  This time with Andrew.  I didn't swim, my swimsuit was cold from before and I just couldn't bring myself to put it on.  Here they all are warming up in the hot tub.

I took a pic of our room number.  Michelle said her friend always takes a picture so in case she gets liquored up and forgets what room she is in.  Actually I think it is good advice for anyone.  But just in case I got liquored up, here's the room number.

After swimming, we went to Cafe Rio for dinner.  ALWAYS a favorite.  Didn't get any pictures because we had to get it to go because they were almost closed.  We stayed to long swimming.

The next day, we got up, Nick, Abi and Jack went to the complimentary Buffet.  Then they went swimming for a bit until checkout.  Andrew and I just stayed in the room and finished off the case of Diet Coke we bought the night before.

Nick and Andrew went to a field to practice La Cross.  Jack stayed with them.  I can't believe I don't have any pics of them because they played for a long time.  Abi and I went to Van Heusen and she got some clothes.

After that, we took a drive up to Snow Canyon I think, and checked out this lookout point.

That is a ledge they are looking over.

Andrew is messing with me because he knows I get nervous...

Here is Jack, he is way nervous about scarry things.  He was grateful it wasn't a hike so he sat down and watched from a distance.

We worked up an appetite playing LAX, swimming and the scenic outlook.  We decided to go to Five Guys.  No one was up for Cafe Rio again.  I'm always up for Cafe Rio.

I usually ban the cell phones at dinner because NO one goes out to dinner and wants people on their phone...so rude.  But, here they all are.

On the way home, we listened to the Football game about who is in the Super Bowl.  Not sure what it is called, but the Patriots are in.

I had such a great time.  Andrew laughs and says he loves our family because who rents a car and drives to St. George to swim and eat at Five Guys.  I DO.  It couldn't have been better.  It was fun to spend time with the college kids and just swim and eat and laugh.  The only thing that would have made it better would be if we could have stayed one more day and played golf, or if Brooke had been there with us.  We missed her too.   We cut the trip short due to a HUGE snowstorm coming in on Monday, MLK day.  We went home early.  I miss them so much.  I'm glad they are doing well.  Here's hoping to see them over Spring Break if I have money.  We scouted out some good hikes and the golf course we want to play when we come back.
