Mysterious Shower Curtain failure

I was in the hallway bathroom...I don't use that one much and I noticed this on the wall.

Then I noticed this on the other wall

Then I noticed this

Then I noticed this.  

I asked Jack about it and his response was "ask Nick".    You have to give them credit for trying to fix it and at least using scotch tape instead of masking tape that would have given it away much sooner.  They said it was there about a week before I noticed...Not bad...
